A little bit of heaven in East Sussex, The Gallivant is inspired by the coastal motels of California. A relaxing hideaway from the stresses of modern life, it was named number four on The Times 2016 Coolest Beach Hotels and featured on The Sunday Times 2014 World’s Best Beaches.
So naturally, we had to choose it as Venue of the Month on our UK blog for easy, breezy July.
Sitting directly behind the dunes of Camber Sands, it truly is a magical place for weddings. During the summer months, your celebrations will naturally flow between the sandy shores and the Beach Hut Marquee which is beautifully styled with driftwood tables, shells, lanterns and beach bunting.
The venue is licensed to host civil ceremonies for up to 120 people, eliminating the stress of moving your guests and allowing for a more relaxed vibe. But, there’s also some spectacular ceremony locations nearby to suit your needs including a lighthouse on the beach and a host of pretty churches.
Without a doubt, the shining star of The Gallivant is its food – and we all know how important this factor is among those hungry wedding guests!! Adhering to the venues rustic charm, their food philosophy is equally simple. Local ingredients that are hours fresh and sourced within 15 miles of the property, add flavor and mighty heart to their mouth-watering dishes. While those extra little details which can be organised for your reception, such as an oyster bar or Gallivant homemade ice-cream, add a personal touch.
