Oddfellows is a wedding venue with a difference. With unusual, quirky décor at every turn. From our boxing hares in the Grown Up Bar to the upside down table in the Tea Rooms, which is perfect for a bijou wedding, this is like no other wedding venue in the country. Thank you to everyone at Oddfellows for making our Wedding Meal very special. The lead waitress
and the team who looked after us that evening were amazing and couldn't do enough for us.

We had been looking for several months for a venue which was quirky, cool and less ‘corporate’ than others. We were recommended Oddfellows by a friend, and when we visited for the first time we fell immediately in love with the place. We would’ve been happy to put a deposit down there and then …

– shortly after we showed our families around and thankfully it won them over as well. Debbie – our wedding co-ordinator – was fantastic throughout the whole planning process, she was always quick to respond to emails about any queries we had in the 18 months leading up to our big day. She met with us and we went through the entire schedule of the day, making sure we were happy with every minute. We wanted an entirely vegetarian wedding breakfast and evening snacks – Oddfellows were more than happy to cater for this – even providing a special menu for us to choose from.
On the wedding day itself they surpassed both our expectations and made our day just absolutely perfect. Every member of staff who co-ordinated the day was so attentive and incredible – they really couldn’t do enough to help us. This was also the feelings of our guests – many commented on how well they were looked after on the day. It goes without saying that the whole day went without a hitch, and we can honestly say there was nothing that they could’ve improved for us.
We were so pleased with our choice of wedding venue – Oddfellows was perfect for us in every single way and made our day something we’ll never forget.

We got married at Oddfellows Chester in July 2018. We contacted Oddfellows in January so only had 6 months to prepare the wedding. Our first meeting with Debbie, the wedding co-ordinator, made our mind up that we definitely wanted to marry there. We had already stayed at Oddfellows and loved the …

quirkiness of the hotel but meeting Debbie sealed the deal for us as she was so helpful, warm and friendly that we just knew it was the right place for us.
Throughout the whole period leading up to the wedding, Debbie kept in touch and was readily available to answer all our questions. We made a lot of the wedding decorations ourselves and Oddfellows were more than happy to accommodate our plans and arrangements and helped us every step of the way. Debbie was very well organised and had the timings of the day down to a tea but in an informal way so we never felt like it was regimented, just well planned.
On the day itself the wedding ran like a dream, Debbie was there during the day and helped with so many details it’s hard to list them all. I also need to mention Matt who co-ordinated all the music and guest co-ordination throughout the day and evening, he was also amazing, so helpful and friendly as were all the staff throughout the day, we truly felt like we were among friends.
As we chose the afternoon tea menu I was slightly concerned that there wouldn't be enough food for everyone but I needn’t have worried as there was ample food which was absolutely delicious, in fact, a lot of people have commented how good it was.
We cannot recommend Oddfellows highly enough if you are looking for an intimate wedding with a difference!

food, it was amazing. The whole day was wonderful, intimate and in such a charming setting, maintained by the lovely Robin. Matt and his team were fantastic on the day, anticipating all our needs and looking after every detail. We had a day of exceptional quality, which was incredibly good value. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the charming and comfortable Grown Up Room. Later in the evening, we moved on into a reserved space in the garden bar, when our friends joined us in the evening, they loved it. We stayed at the hotel as did several of our guests and the bedrooms added to the charm Of the whole occasion. They are exceptionally furnished in a quirky and tasteful style. We had a huge, very comfortable bed with the best bath ever! If you are looking for an intimate, stylish venue for a wedding, I could not recommend anywhere more. Oddfellows was amazing and so good that our guests are trying to persuade us to book us all in again for our first anniversary! We can't thank them enough for how special they made our wedding day.
