Our outdoor ceremony was perfect, the setting was beautiful and we was also blessed with lovely weather.

The reception that followed was an absolute delight. The staff at Mount Pleasant Hotel were the definition of professionalism and hospitality. They made sure every detail was meticulously taken care of, from the delicious food to the perfectly timed service. Our guests were never left wanting, and we couldn't have asked for more.

The decor in the reception hall was exquisite and truly reflected our vision for the day. It was evident that the team at Mount Pleasant Hotel worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect.

What truly stood out was the incredible service. The staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. Their warm and friendly approach added a personal touch to the entire event and helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

As the night went on and more guests arrived for our reception ,the evening celebration was very well organised from the DJ and the lighting and sound system was outstanding. The fireworks in the evening provided a great show – and photo opportunity!

Our wedding day at Mount Pleasant Hotel was everything we ever dreamed of and more. It was a day filled with love, joy, and laughter, and we owe a huge part of that to the venue. were awesome on the day, doing anything they could to beat the horrid rain to make sure our wedding was outside where we wanted it to be, the highlight being the guys being outside mopping up puddles to dry up the path with 15 mins to go before the wedding. I couldn’t thank them enough for making that happen. The hotel is clean and the rooms are massive and to die for, the venue looked amazing for pictures with so many areas to have your photographs for those intermit moments on your own. The food was amazing, we upgraded to a BBQ and never ran out of food. We stayed at the hotel the night before and they even went out of their way to make sure our rooms were ready for the wedding day to change over to before the ceremony. They even went out of the way to customise some of the meals off menu to suit some of our guests which I was very surprised with. Overall thank you everyone at Mount Pleasant Hotel for giving us a day we will never forget.

Our master of ceremonies Ross was an absolute god send and made our day run perfectly from start to finish, he even kept me calm when our ceremony music started to play and the rain decided to fall, leaving me to make a last minute dash inside like a run away bride! Ross kept calm, collected and got all of our guests seated inside so the ceremony could begin.

Georgina, you have been amazing from the very start of our wedding planning journey, accommodating last minute meetings with us and going through the same thing with me more than once because things were just not sinking in! You have the patience of a saint and were always on hand when we needed you.

Paige held our final details appointment, although we were nervous meeting with someone new so close to the wedding, she had all of our notes and made us feel like she was there from the start.

Well.... I really don't know where to start! Myself and my partner got married here on 1st July 2023 FINALLY, after 2 cancellations due to COVID and I cannot recommend the hotel enough, we had the most perfect weekend. Most of our close family and friends arrived Friday and stayed the night before …

the wedding, the boys went into Bawtry for a Chinese and the girls stayed in the hotel for food and drinks, we chose the option to have our own private function room and had a buffet put on for everyone to enjoy and the food did not disappoint! Paige went above and beyond (again! she did for the whole run up) and helpfully sorted all the taxis for the boys to and from Bawtry so we didn't have to worry about that. Ross was around all evening to ensure we had everything we wanted in the hotel and ensure the food was continually stocked up.

Wedding day- from start to finish it was perfect! Mark, Ross and Paige, there are no words to describe how attentive and supportive you were on the run up and on the day! I literally don't know what we would have done without Ross & Mark on the day checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. We opted to give guests the option of 2 choices for starter, main and pudding, Fishcake/ Mushrooms, Chicken/ Lamb and Brownie/ Cheeseboard and it was exceptional and all our guests couldn't believe how delicious the food was, thank you so much for being so accommodating with all the dietary needs for our 135 guests! The whole day was so smooth and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing, its like they read your mind!!!

All I can say is thank you so much for everything… we had the most magical, beautiful day, it was above and beyond our expectations and that was down to the staff being so accommodating in every aspect! Honestly, if anyone is struggling to find a place to get married and have the perfect day everyone dreams of… Mount Pleasant is the place.

We booked our wedding at Mount Pleasant in January 2023 to marry in April the same year. From the initial meeting we were extremely impressed with the venue, staff and how helpful they were in assisting us making decisions about our day.

Any questions we had along the way, the weddings team …

answered within the same day. It was perfect for us as we’d left it so last minute.

Mount Pleasant has beautiful grounds, we are so excited to get our professional photographs back. Inside, the bedrooms are huge and full equipped with everything you could need with plenty of luxury touches. We got married outside in the secret garden and it was amazing, the orangery was set up exactly how we had asked for our wedding breakfast, the hotel DJ played exactly what we wanted and nothing seemed too much trouble

Although our wedding was relatively small, it was perfect and all of our guests were very impressed with this hotel.

The food was excellent and the service could not have been better. I could fully relax and enjoy my day without worrying about anything.

The service team on Saturday was meticulous in carrying out their duties in the serving of the meal and drinks. Also, our DJ Luke went out of his way to help us sort the music and introductions to our ballroom dancing sections.
Many of our guests stayed at the hotel overnight, some for two nights, and all praised the size and comfort of the rooms and the service at all times.
And lastly, a very big thank you for moving our wedding date twice, due to Covid, yet still allowing us to retain our original package deal. The ease of transition each time helped assuage our disappointment.
We can’t praise Mount Pleasant enough and know we will return for future treats, such as afternoon tea, or further celebrations.

clean, classic decor making it a perfect place to welcome your guests on the big day.

All of the function rooms we viewed were perfect for any size of wedding and the member of staff that showed us around (Georgina) knew everything about the hotel and its history.

The entire hotel is very well maintained (2021) and I genuinely couldn't pick any fault with this venue and although its part of the Best Western group it has a very individual feel to it and doesn't feel like a chain hotel.

On our wedding day we had a designated member of the wedding team (Andrew) taking care of everything, I rarely experience customer service this good , he was there to look after every detail and even helped with a few small changes on the day.

The food was good for the price and all of our guests remarked on how comfortable their rooms were.

Breakfast the next day was also really nice and the waiting staff gave us an entire section of the restaurant to seat our guests, which was really nice for catching up with everybody the next day.

Another special mention for the excellent reception staff at this hotel, very professional and courteous .

I've been told that Weddings can be stressful, certainly not at the Mount Pleasant, 5 Starts guys, thank you !!

were 2 weeks away and the guidance changed, so panic set in and through liaising with Andrew and the registrars we managed to pull our date forward, giving Andrew literally 3 and a half days to organise the wedding.

So from Wednesday Through to Friday i pestered the life out of Andrew, asking question after question but he was so calm and reassuring that our day would go as planned.

We arrived at mount pleasant on Friday night (the night before the wedding) and got booked into our rooms, somehow Andrew had managed to get us a spa suite which was unbelievable. Once we were booked in we were greeted by Andrew and he had pulled out all the stops, everything was sorted. The room where the ceremony was to take place looked amazing and Andrew then told us he had moved us to the William James suite, and just wow. To see everything he had suggested turn out in such a way was fabulous, the room looked amazing especially in such difficult times ensuring that the covid legislation was followed.

Now your wedding is always special and ours was truly magical, but this was For a number of reasons and a huge huge part of that was the role of the mount pleasant and in particular Andrew Bruce. Every single little detail was covered, i even observed Andrew checking the spelling on the Table place name cards. When someone literally pays that much attention to detail all you need to do is just sit back and enjoy your day.

Thank you Andrew and Your team, but 3 and a half days, still don’t understand how you managed to do it for us, but will be eternally grateful.
