Headlam Hall is an independant country house hotel and spa that enjoys an excellent reputation for its fabulous setting, stylish facilities, great food and customer service.
This Jacobean hall beautifully combines its historical charm with contemporary country design and has a unique romantic ambience. The stunning Coach House located across the courtyard from the main hall is our exclusive wedding venue and was originally the home to the household's horses and carriages. Today this building reflects its historical roots but also has a fresh, contemporary feel making it a fabulous place for weddings.
The Coach House is your exclusive building for the day and features:
The Stable Lounge - a spacious reception room with stone walls, high beamed ceiling and glazed frontage that opens onto a raised terrace with scenic countryside views.
The Coach House Bar - your own oak panelled bar featuring leather furnishings and rural pictures giving it a classic countryside feel.
The Ballroom - stylish and elegant with antique chandeliers from a French chateau and an arched glass ceiling that lets natural light flood the room during daytime receptions. The contemporary clean decor allows you to dress this space in your own style and with colour change wall-wash lighting it can be transformed for a glamorous evening party at the flick of a switch!
Coach House Bedrooms - this building also has 9 attractive guest rooms providing comfortable and convenient overnight accommodation.
We can accommodate larger wedding celebrations for up to 120 people on either a Friday or Saturday and only ever host one wedding a day, regardless of the size. Smaller, 'dinner party' style receptions can be held Monday to Thursday. We are also licensed for civil ceremonies either in the Coach House or outside on the garden terrace.
