The food was incredible - I’m from a fussy Italian family and everybody loved the food particularly the lasagne. She even let me have custard with my desert and everyone else has ice cream! Little details that we were allowed to swap reallt did make up feel special. Even though they do weddings all year round Sammy really did make us feel like she was there to support and help no matter how busy she was.
The room looked absolutely beautiful and was everything we dreamt of and the staff are the friendliest, most hard working and helpful people I have ever come across and a venue. No request refused and the lady who was with us on our special day right from the beginning was incredible. She even gave me a huge hug when we left the following morning.
The grounds are absolutely perfect for your photos, with rustic walls, gates and plenty of plants and scenery our photos look perfect. There are also some lovely places indoors to have tour photos taken.
The following morning we had a big family breakfast in the Suite where we had our reception and it was spotless. Plenty of food and all our guests still keep saying the breakfast was the best they’d ever had!
Risley hall really is the most beautiful and special place to have your wedding reception or any kind of family event. We really cannot wait to go back as we loved visiting as many times was we could before the wedding!

However, everything we asked of Risley we received, from looking at other menu options, having a band, our own beer. Nothing was too much, nothing could not find a way to be done.
Robyn there has been my contact since booking our wedding and has been amazing. The communication has been excellent, often receiving email replies late at night. She is a valuable asset to Risley and deserves recognition for all her hard work.
The day itself was effortless, the food was brilliant and the waitresses and waiters were excellent. I couldn't have asked for anything more.
We choose Risley because of the grounds and the hall which made us be able to look past some of the renovations that Risley is in need of. The newer building rooms are much better but the older area are more old fashioned then being in keeping with the building. Risley has the elements to be amazing, great staff, amazing building and beautiful grounds, it needs some tlc. With investment this place could be amazing.
Our wedding day was perfect and there was not one thing I would change. Risley was perfect for us. Thank you all for making our day special, especially Robyn

towards the end, in hindsight this is fine, but when its your wedding you can get a little worried that no one seems to be on the ball.
However that said, on the day everything works like clockwork, everything and everyone was in the correct place, their in house DJ is brilliant, described by sources to me as one of the best in the Midlands.
Robin works here, she is a wonderful contact, staff member who is worth her weight in gold and if, Hall management read this review, this girl should be taken on and seriously given scope to manage such occasions she is wonderful and worth much more than she is paid I am sure, but as are the managers that were around also, not sure of his name.
The hall is an old building, the hotel is generally. The bridal suite, I have to say was slightly disappointing, its a very old room with old furnishings and fittings. But that's how it is, no shower...
If you go with this expectation in mind you will accept this place for what it is.
The grounds are fantastic for a wedding photograph experience and we didn't do pics at the church mainly for this reason, you are spoilt for choice for scenes.
The food is excellent, everyone said so. Service sometimes a little erratic, especially at breakfast but main thing is ceoliacs got their dinner correct.
I cant really fault this place in any way, we had a magical day.
