To any couples who are about to tie the knot and say "I do", finding that perfect place to share your special day can be difficult, but when we chose Ballyroe Heights Hotel for our wedding reception, we just knew from the moment we made our initial enquiry that it was the right place for us. Everything about Ballyroe House Hotel made our wedding day so memorable, and here are just a few of the reasons why...
The venue itself is a perfect location to host a wedding just minutes from Tralee makes it very accessible without having to travel miles to be 'out of town'. Not only that, the views of the surrounding countryside is breathtaking - all our guests who wouldn't be as familiar with the beauty of Kerry all remarked on how the vista was so spectacular. As the day was fine, our guests were able to enjoy the views while sampling some of the very tasty canapés provided by the hotel outside, while other guests mingled indoors to the melodic music provided by the hotel's complimentary pianist.
The meal served by the chef was fantastic - I know this sounds biased on our behalf but so many of our guests were raving about both the quality of the food served as well as the generous portions served by very efficient and well trained staff. The good food didn't just end with the meal- the buffet served later on in the night was also very well received by all guests!
To finish off a perfect wedding, we got to spend our first night as a married couple in the most divine bridal suite; the only pity was it was so late before we got to bed!
I think one of the main reasons we would recommend Ballyroe House Hotel is the attention to detail they provide, not just on the day itself but leading up to it. We had a lovely time sampling the food before we chose our final menu and we were able to go through the table plans and table arrangements with Mark and his team with great ease. Jonathan sat down with us and we were able to go through every aspect of our impending day – from thedrinks reception, flower arrangements and chair-ties which complimented the bridesmaids’ dresses, the best way to have the tables arranged, our ‘entrance song’, where the band and d.j. would be positioned after the meal, what time the buffet would be served and block booking rooms for our guests who were staying overnight. Being able to go through all the things that we never really thought about beforehand with someone with so much experience really made all the difference and it showed on the day itself as everything went off without a hitch.
As the bride (and as I have a tendency to stress about things at the best of times!), I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my wedding day, but I have to honestly, hand-on-heart admit that our wedding day was the most stress-free event I ever attended and the credit for this has to go to the management and staff at Ballyroe Heights Hotel. Without them it definitely would not have been a day (and a very long night!!) which we both will remember forever and if we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing.
