August 2010 my now husband, little girl and I went looking at wedding venues. Wanting to a venue close to where we both live, we tried some of the hotels in Tralee all very scenic staff were friendly but it was the drive up to Ballyroe that took our breath away. There was scenery as far as the eye could see. Trying to contain our excitement and not let anything tell on us we went up the steps to the main entrance. On arriving at the reception area we were given tea looking out at the picturesque view. Jonathan came out to meet us to say it was a warm welcome is an understatement. We got a tour of the hotel's bar, restaurant, function rooms (two) and the bridal suite(has to be seen to be believed). We were then brought into a very comfortable office where Jonathan went through what the hotel offers in wedding packages but the packages unlike many hotels were only guidelines not written in stone. If we wanted to add something from one package to another. Any request we had could be done. We felt so wanted and like we were important to them. We left shortly after, got into the car and knew we had our venue. After a few phone calls to Mark ironing out a few other requests, I went to Ballyroe and met Mike and paid our deposit. Mike informed me that he and Mark would be looking after us on our wedding day. The day arrived we approached the main entrance in Ballyroe to red carpet and a bottle of champagne and Mark and Mike were there to greet us and congratulate us. From there any thing we needed was catered for. Everything went seemlessly. We had nothing to think about just to enjoy ourselves. Talking to some of our guest during the day and after the meal and the staff were very highly spoken of. It is great to hear the feedback and looking back on our day it brilliant to know that our guests as well as us the bride and groom are looked after so well. Thanks to all the staff in Ballyroe heights hotel and especially Mark, Mike, Jonathan and Patrick.
