I recently had my wedding at Bewleys Hotel, Leeds. The staff were all absolutely amazing, that's all the staff, including receptionists the banqueting team, the cleaners.......from every visit and planning session to the actual weekend. All the staff could not do enough for us. In particular, Elen and Claire were super organised and helpful. The day went smoothly thanks to them and their expertise. The food was absolutely out of this world, a lot of guests were specifically commenting on how good the chicken and mushroom sauce was. I was worried as chicken is one of those meats, if its dry it ruins the whole meal. Well there wasn't one complaint just lots of compliments! The deal that Bewleys is offering is really good value for money, the bar tariff is very reasonably priced too for the centre of Leeds. There are no 'rules' with the evening buffet, as most places make you book per evening guest, Bewleys are much more flexible than that, we were able to book whatever numbers we wanted for the evening. I did all the table decs, flowers and seating plan myself, they provided a room for all this to be housed over night and during the next day. My cake was able to be delivered the day before. The buffet breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice. Claire can arrange chair covers and sashes at a very competitive price. The whole thing is competitively priced....and most importantly, they are flexible. Really good value for money. We were met after the ceremony with toasting flutes as we entered the hotel, our bedroom had rose petals and the towels twisted and presented in what appeared to be a love heart, and a bottle of bubbly in a cooler. Its all these little details that made it so memorable. I would say my only criticism was the DJ. Although we asked for 80's music and did get 80's, it wasn't the well known chart topping stuff, he also seemed to disappear a lot, which meant guests were unable to request music. Overall though 5 stars! :D
