Ghan House is just an hours drive from Dublin and Belfast with views of Carlingford Lough , Slieve Foy mountain & The mountains of Mourne.
The unique aspect of Ghan House is that you can have exclusive use of the whole house & gardens ~ which means, no other guests apart from your own! We have beautiful views of Slieve Foy, the Mountains of Mourne & Carlingford Lough - from the gardens, all the public rooms & bedrooms. In addition we have 8 ft high stone walls enclosing the gardens, adding to the privacy & uniqueness.

Our head chef Stephane was awarded "Best Chef 2015 & 2019", we also won 'Best Hotel & Country House Restaurant in County Louth' - for 3 continuous years ~ The Restaurant Association of Ireland and have been awarded2 AA Rosttes for the restaurant 2011 - 2019.
The bedrooms have been selected by John & Sally McKenna's Bridgestone Guide -'Best 100 Places to stay in Ireland' for 21 continuous years from 1998 to 2019 and we were named "Gourmet Getaway of the Year 2019" & "Fine Dining Hotel of the Year 2019" at the Irish Hotel Awards
The Drawing Room holds up to 60 guests and has a fully tuned grand Piano. There are magnificent views of Slieve Foy, Carlingford Lough, the mountains of Mourne and the castellated walled gardens of Ghan House .
Most of the weddings held at Ghan House have 60 to 110 guests where up to 3 other dining rooms are used ~ utilising the whole house. Later on the band or DJ sets up in the ballroom.
The Ghan House alternative to the big hotel function room makes for a very intimate, sociable wedding!
