Luton Hoo Hotel say “I do”, and saves the ‘Big Day’

After the closure of a local wedding venue, Luton Hoo House Hotel and Spa has come to the rescue of 30 couples whose dreams of a big day were suddenly put on hold.

Couples saw their plans cancelled last moment when it was announced that their original venue choice had been sold to a private buyer. One bride mentioned: “we were extremely disappointed (we found out on Valentine’s Day) that our wedding venue was closing and our booking was subsequently cancelled. We were then faced with the dilemma of finding not only a new venue, but some where that could book us in for our wedding date (as we had already booked our invites and many other suppliers).”

The Elite Hotel wedding venue, where Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh often returned to in the early years of their marriage to celebrate their wedding anniversary has been more than happy to step in and help couples in their time of need.

Bride Tracey goes on to mention how she was quickly calmed by the expert help of Luton Hoo: “When I spoke to Janet at the hotel, she was so patient and understanding. We genuinely felt like we had won the lottery to be still getting married after our terrible news. We are so grateful that they have helped us restore our wedding plans to make our day one we will never forget.”

Jayne Alison from Luton Hoo mentioned that their customer satisfaction is of the upmost importance to them. “A couple’s wedding day is extremely important and we naturally wanted to do all we could to help those who had faced a sudden halt to what should be the happiest day of their lives.” Jayne went on to explain that it wasn’t all plain sailing from there: “with some very strategic planning and organisation, our great team have pulled out all the stops to ensure we could be as flexible as possible. With this, we have managed to help 30 couple’s dream come true at our hotel. I am positive that they will now have a very memorable day – for all the right reasons!”

Luton Hoo is also famously recognised for being one of the filming locations of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
