Simple Tips For Deciding On Your Wedding Flowers

Oh, the wedding flowers…

Flowers may be one of the most important decisions when it comes to wedding decor. You can’t tell me I’m the only one that gets a vision of pretty pink peonies dancing in my mind when I think of blooms for the biggest day ever! But each bride has their own style when it comes to florals, so it’s a good idea to put some extra thought into how you and really personalise your day by deciding on the perfect flowers for your walk down the aisle.

Take a look at these simple tips to get you on the path to fabulous wedding flowers.

Decide on a budget…

Flowers can be expensive! So, first and foremost it’s a VERY good idea to decide on how much of your overall budget can be allocated to flower decor.

Get some inspo…

There are sooooo many places to gather inspiration from these days like Pinterest, blogs (wink wink), and of course Instagram and other social platforms. Take a good look around and see what the latest trends or designs are. You might see some things you like and some things you don’t, but getting a good look at whats out there is a perfect place to start if you’re unclear on your overall vision.

Choose your colours…

Now if you’re like the average bride, you already had these picked out before your man even got down on one knee, but hey sometimes things change! Depending on the season or overall style of your wedding, or heaven forbid your hubby-to-be has a strong opinion, take some time to lock down those wedding colours and how you’d like them to be portrayed through your floral decor.

Do a little research…

Of course, doing a little extra digging on what flowers are in season when will be a big help when trying to choose the perfect blooms for the big day. Some flowers might even react differently in heat or certain types of climates so see what buds work best for your desired location and overall wedding day.

Embrace your wedding style…

Choosing the right flowers should really bring together your overall style as a bride. Flowers can add romantic touches throughout the day from your bouquet all the way to the reception centrepieces.  As long as you’re happy with the colours and arrangements going into the big day everyone will be buzzing about your blooming choices.
