This Is Officially The Strangest Wedding Trend Of 2015

Now, we are all for a pre-wedding health kick and absolutely love our veggies here at WeddingDates HQ. But this is possibly the strangest wedding trend of 2015 and it isn’t floating our boat at all. More brides are beginning to replace traditional bouquets with kale and cabbage arrangements. Yes, you heard us right. Brides are quite literally carrying a cabbage!

Florists are seeing a higher demand for more ethical bridal blooms made from vegetables such as carrots, herbs, leeks and brocolli. Taking the wildflower theme to a whole new level, the de-constructed pieces are becoming highly popular with couples from a farming background looking to add more eco-friendly elements to their day.

Herbs such as lavender which represents undying love and artichoke for courage are also being added for their symbolic value. Hmm, we aren’t totally convinced.

We certainly won’t be ditching our pretty peonies anytime soon, thank you very much.
