Winter Wedding Guests Looks

It may sound silly, but I nearly prefer dressing for winter weather. In a lot of ways, it’s easier to layer and figure out colour palettes at winter time. Personally, I love black and dark colours with a variation of textures and materials throughout an outfit. It may sound a little boring, but it works!

In terms of wedding guest looks, winter time is usually all about glitter and sparkles… Perfect for formal occasions. You can usually get away with wearing darker colours in the spectrum, but try and avoid black, unless it is counter acted with some sparkle! Although white is stunning in winter, it’s still a no-no for the big day.

Make sure you layer up with a fluffy bolero or cardi. If you’re wearing something full length, you may even get away with a cropped knit, perfect for pulling over you if you need to head out for a quick moment. Swap out decorative headpieces for a furry hat or a knit crown like this gorgeous one!

Wedding hair can often get a little messy so if your dress allows it, work in a laid back half up do. Avoid polished to perfection looks… You’ll just get mad when it begins to pour! Half braids pulling hair away from the face are ideal here.

Stockings are definitely a must here as well as a thicker heel for walking out onto a grounds. Of course, bring an umbrella and invest in a pretty one, you never know, it may end up in some photos!
