Steve, the toast master was incredible! If you was born to do a job, Steve was made for that. He was so lovely and felt like part of the family, I loved him. He told you exactly what was happening next and made you feel at ease at every step.

Ashdown Park staff, were so lovely. Everytime we came, they were so lovely but on the day they gave that extra smile and kind words. You always feel so welcomed at your hotel and we are so excited to celebrate with you every year and relive our special day.

Dylan was amazing and had incredible attention to detail on the decoration of the room. It was beyond my expectations. He was so calm and collective even when there were people who maybe had a bit too much to drink. He dealt with it very professionally.
Also I loved the espresso martinis for me, I'm not a big drinker and loved my little drink for me.
Everything was so easy to pick up in the morning and put away with so much care.

Thank you to everyone in your team. Being in hospitality is never easy but I thought your team did a brilliant job.

experienced and very good at her job. Ben Brooker is an outstanding manager and did a great job at showing the venue to us and helping us choose Ashdown as our wedding venue. of our dreams during a global pandemic was unimaginable yet you achieved it.

Specifically we would really like to thank Iona. She is a real credit to the hotel; her attitude is flawless, she was able to sort out all of our questions and requests with ease, and she listened patiently to our many changes of opinion with decoration! She had fantastic attention to detail and I’m sure she was a large part of why the day went so well.

We really respected the fact that throughout the whole wedding planning experience (rather longer than originally intended as it was!) we consistently saw the same hotel staff, all of whom remembered us with a smile and made us feel welcome. It was very reassuring to then see the same staff on our wedding day.


Our guests have all commented on the food; nobody could fault it and all the tweaks we made from the menu tasting were all accommodated on the day. Neither me or Ryan managed to be seated for desert and so it was kept aside for us and re-served with cheese which was a lovely touch. I had made some very specific requests to the bar with respect to wine for my dad and that was remembered all evening too without prompt. We honestly could not fault the service.

The venue itself was stunning, the guests were all blown away by the transition from downstairs to upstairs. We want to acknowledge your patience with our indecisiveness on the indoor/outdoor seating with respect to the weather and also accommodating the singer both inside or outside. Finally, the beautiful touch of the embroidered dressing gown gift in our suite was just wonderful. It really was a lovely surprise when we made it back to our suite after the day.

spent two years carefully planning our wedding day & the actual day itself could not of been any more perfect!
Tanya our wedding coordinator was fantastic, kind, caring, & her professionalism goes above & beyond the norm! She was so kind to me, I was such an anxious bride & she helped me so much by making decisions & stepping in to advise what was best! She was always approachable, put up with a good few emails from me when I was panicking about something & always responded quickly & with everything answered !
We cannot thank her enough for her expertise as a wedding coordinator! She is tops!
Claire looked after us in between & was equally as helpful & professional & Iona who looked after us during menu tastings & at other intervals was amazing, everyone worked so hard to give us the wedding day of our dreams & we most definitely had that. It was just exquisite from start to finish, we would wholeheartedly recommend Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club to anyone thinking about getting married, if you want a grand affair to a very high standard then Ashdown is the place for you!

efficient with responding to emails and nothing was ever too much. She listened to and answered all our questions leading up to the big day. Milly contacted our suppliers and took so much pressure off of us, I felt really relaxed coming up to the day! The team were amazing on the day and the toastmaster was a great addition who helped get people organised for the photos and direct them to where they should be. The food was absolutely amazing (as always) and the venue is just so beautiful and has the wow factor! Definitely wish we could do our day again as it went by too quickly! Our room for the night was also lovely and the personalised robes were such a lovely touch (I had always wanted an Ashdown dressing gown!)
Can't believe it is all done now, but would love to do it all again! Ashdown were amazing throughout and couldn't have asked for a better day.

friendly, professional, efficient and polite. We felt that everyone went out of their way to make it a magical time for not just us, but all our friends and family. Although the venue did the majority of decorating, I wanted to do a bit of setting up myself on the night before the wedding. The staff even came in at 11:30 pm to see if we were okay and told us they were there for us if we needed anything! I was so impressed to have someone prioritise customer service at nearly midnight!

Everything from planning to the wedding day was a very smooth ride and I do believe a lot of that is down to how great of a team is at Ashdown. I really can't recommend them enough!

us beforehand, was just a pleasure to work with. She had many ideas and suggestions, when I hadn't even thought of many things. And even though it was small, it didn't feel like it. We had a registry service elsewhere, but when we arrived at the hotel, Iona (our events manager on the day) was ready and waiting with some bubbles for us, which was well received! We were swept into where we needed to be, and when we were busy outside with photos of our own, our wedding party was well looked after and all checked in. All of our rooms were lovely, and our room (especially) was just mind blowing. We felt like royalty. All the staff knew who we were, and we received so many congratulations. It was such a special day! We had a private dinner in the evening, which we really enjoyed. The food was delicious, and Iona and her team were there the entire time. The next morning when we arrived at our breakfast table, the hotel had organised it so that we could all sit together at one big table. Our flower display had been moved as well onto our breakfast table, so we could enjoy it a second time. We felt like our day was still in full force. We stayed an extra night, when our guests checked out, and our dinner that evening (as well) was just delicious. And we had yet another surprise, as the restaurant staff had 'congratulations' written in chocolate on our dessert plates. We literally felt like we owned the place, it was spectacular. I'd recommend Ashdown Park Hotel (and it's staff) in a heart beat. We enjoyed our wedding so much and they all played such a big part in that. We are very grateful to them all! :)

Everything was thought of, the staff at Ashdown Park are exceptionally thoughtful and were always ready to answer a query or help out.

All of our guests were blown away by the venue, the quality of the food and drink and the general ambiance created by Ashdown Park. accommodating and their attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Every aspect was perfect from the moment we arrived at the hotel.

As soon as you drive in through the entrance gates and you see the splendour of the former mansion house and the beautiful landscaped grounds, you know you have chosen the perfect venue.

Our marriage ceremony was held in the Richard de Wych room overlooking the lovely gardens and was ideal for our small intimate wedding. Although we had our wedding in November, we were very fortunate that the sun was out and there was not a cloud in the sky (how Tanya managed to arrange that is beyond us!!) enabling us to have some very memorable photos in the gardens and outside the hotel, as well as inside the hotel, where character and period furniture abounds.

We all celebrated our marriage with a wonderful Champagne Afternoon Tea, followed by a superb dinner in the evening in the award winning restaurant... the perfect end to a perfect day.

We cannot thank Tanya and the Ashdown Park Hotel enough for ensuring that our 30 year wait to get married was worth waiting for!!

the end of the line and made it a stress free experience. We knew everything was under control so we could sit back and enjoy the build up.

The staff were incredible on the day, so attentive and friendly and they served us the most delicious food which everyone complimented. Even Having the 15 person limit, the venue felt grand, but so cosy, warm and welcoming at the same time.

Despite the social distancing rules, the venue managed to lay out our tables in a way that we didn’t feel the room swallowed us up, instead, it felt like a very fancy family dinner, surrounded by the venue’s stained glass windows, our gorgeous flowers, hurricane lamps and warm lighting.

All we have is magical memories from 2/10/2020, from start to finish. Ashdown Park Hotel was a place we always imagined tying the knot, and it completely lived up to our expectations, if not more than we had imagined. We would highly recommend Ashdown as the perfect wedding venue, knowing with confidence that any future husband and wife will have the best day together and will be made to feel like royalty!

wedding planner made sure that everything ran smoothly and ensured that we didn't have to get stressed, worried or lift a finger. The venue had so much to offer and delivered the Most exceptional wedding.

All of our guests commented on how amazing the day was and what a beautiful venue we had chosen. A lot of guests said it was, by far, the best wedding they had ever been to and that was definitely down to all of the staff! immediate families (June 2020- in the mist of total lockdown) Tanya was so helpful and kind making a very hard and stressful decision feel like a weight had been lifted!

Once the hotel reopened, Sara took over our wedding coordinations and from our first face to face appointment she had completely calmed any nerves and anxieties we had and continued to be our support network up until the day before our wedding (Sara was not on shift that day but arranged to have a meeting with me and her colleague Lucy to run through everything and any last details)

Our day had arrived.... and I can honestly say the day couldn’t have gone any better! Lucy was amazing from Checking on me first thing, to helping me in my dress, to accompanying us on our Photoshoot.

Food was absolutely incredible and service Amazing, which we’d like to thank Gaetan for overseeing everything up until the very end.

Honestly our wedding day was utterly faultless and I cant thank everyone that helped us. Under the current circumstances, we were concerned how the day would be run but honestly the best decision we made.

And now we get to do it all again in April 2022.

presence - We couldn’t have asked for a better coordinator. On the day, Braydon was the perfect operations manager, he was there Right at the moments that we would need him - We really do thank him, Sara and the rest of the staff for making it such a special day for Us.
The chapel is an absolutely stunning location to hold a wedding - we cant thank you enough for giving Us this upgrade. It made our day extra special.

sometimes stressful process of wedding planning. Everything we needed was done for us, and every question we had no matter how small or silly was answered with professionalism and courtesy and understanding.

The venue itself is beautiful and has such character, it is not every day you can have a civil wedding ceremony surrounded by the most beautiful stained glass usually reserved for churches and cathedrals. Each room has character and uniqueness that follows through every interaction you will have with the venue and its staff. The level of service on display from each and every single member of staff has been one of the most common threads of feedback we have had from our guests. They were all bowled over by the staff and how they were all made to feel during their stay at the venue.

The wedding day itself was run with effortless efficiency by the team, we never had to look too far for help or assistance, or even at one point another glass of champagne of some canapés for the Bride who had missed them while having photos taken - again an incredible attention to detail and level of attentiveness we hadn't quite expected.

In summation, 18 months of planning resulted in the most wonderful day that we will look back on and treasure fondly for all out years to come and we simply could not have done it without the help, care and hard work of every single team member we met and interacted with. I will go out of my way to recommend the venue to anyone who wants to listen to me and I honestly believe that anyone who chooses this fabulous venue for their own special day will not be disappointed.

As soon as we walked into into the Chapel in Ashdown Park, we knew this was it! It was the only venue we went to see and we loved how unique it is – it is a beautiful setting and every little detail has been thought of!

Nothing was too much trouble in the run up to the wedding and everything was handled very smoothly. Both you and Braden are amazing and couldn’t do enough for us.

The day itself was absolutely incredible, the feel of the venue, the food and the service! Everything was taken care of, allowing us to enjoy the most amazing day! planning, nothing was ever too much trouble. Even when we did differ on something the response was from a 'let's sort this out' attitude and everything was perfect. We initially had Ellie be our Event co-ordinator and she was fantastic. A year in she unfortunately left and Lucy Bueno was her replacement. At first we were nervous to have someone new be in charge of the most important day of our lives but after meeting Lucy we knew that we were in safe hands.
Nothing was too much trouble for Lucy and on the day she was fantastic. When my car arrived at the Hotel, Lucy was on hand with a glass of water and something that seems so small really helped calm the nerves at that point. Lucy was also fantastic in liasing with suppliers that I had booked along the way.
The day went off without a hitch and this is thanks to Lucy and Braiden. Braiden stayed until the very end and dealt with any small issues throughout the evening. The food was phenomenal and the waiting staff were polite and helpful.
We honestly cannot thank the team at Ashdown Park enough and we would love to do our day all over again!

day. It really made it extra special for us. Being such a unique venue, it really was the only place we wanted to hold our wedding. We were lucky enough to view it first and we quickly decided that nowhere else was going to come close. The service on the day was amazing. Everything ran to time, which was ensured by all of the staff and the toastmaster. On the day we had 2 coordinators to ensure that we have a point of contact at all times if we needed anything. We had so many positive comments from our guests for the food. They were extremely accommodating for anyone with dietary requirements for the wedding breakfast, and even provided Gluten free canapés which we didn't even request so that was a lovely touch!

The venue arranged a private breakfast room for us the morning after the wedding, which was so lovely for all of guests to enjoy, they also put a note under each of their doors the night before to ensure they knew where it was. We also stayed an extra night, and the following morning they had reserved us a table for breakfast with our name on a place card, this was SUCH a lovely touch and we appreciated them doing it without us even asking!!

All of our guests loved the accommodation, and being able to have the ceremony and the reception in one place really makes this such an ideal venue. It is ideal for an indoor or outdoor wedding as there are so many different spaces available to use which are all equally beautiful. The venue are extremely good at recommending exactly what will work best, but are also very flexible with any requests which you may have. All in all, I cannot recommend it enough! Great staff and a truly WONDERFUL wedding we will never forget!!

newly married couple, I cannot fault the seamless and effortless service of all the staff at Ashdown Park Hotel. Our highly dedicated, and extremely patient, wedding co-ordinator Sara could not have done enough for us! She helped organise pretty much EVERYTHING for us. From menu tasting, to rooms for guests, to printing off my wedding vows the morning of the wedding. She has been an absolute joy to have help with our wedding and we couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable, understanding, supportive and dedicated co-ordinator. All the staff at Ashdown were extremely helpful with getting everything organised to day before the wedding, helping to store our bouquets, wedding favours, table names and so on. I cannot fault a single part of our day, even down to the toastmaster keeping everyone in check, he made everyone smile! I would absolutely highly recommend Ashdown to anybody who is looking for the perfect venue. Its picturesque grounds, beautiful lakes and timelessly historic buildings make for the perfect and ideal scene for any wedding photos. the week leading up to the wedding, I was full of nerves, although our meeting with Sara (wedding coordinator) soon reassured us that everything was ok. Where possible we were helped with all the requests that we had - pop up bars upstairs, our choice of food and any special room requests for guests who needed better accessibility. We were fortunate to have a beautiful day and from start to finish the hotel staff truly excelled themselves - all the waiters and waitresses I never fully had a chance to meet, the chefs behind the scenes, the room maids, bar staff, receptionists and concierge. My friends and family two weeks later are still talking about the wedding and were astonished by how beautiful the venue was - many referring to it as a fairytale wedding. The wedding breakfast matched fine dining restaurants in London and the presentation of the tables were immaculate. I couldn’t help but feel like the happiest bride alive seeing the venue in all its glory, it was everything I could have imagined. The hard work of all staff involved meant the day and evening ran like clock work; they were polite, efficient and experienced. Our wedding coordinator was a brilliant listener and I never felt as though I needed to repeat any fine details. On the morning of the wedding, she finalised all the tables, received an order I was waiting for and pieced everything together for us - completely fulfilling our expectations. I can’t thank you enough for putting together the best day of our lives, we were also impressed with your recommended suppliers - Darren Charles (photography), cut above (videographers) and P.Williams (DJ) were fantastic. We are so pleased that this dog friendly hotel allowed our beloved little westie join us all day long both indoor and outdoors, even having a seat during the wedding breakfast lol.
Thank you again and we will be back for our anniversary celebrations next year :)

didn't have to worry about anything as she had it all covered!
She helped organise the children on the day (which is a task with my kids!) but she made it all so effortless. Throughout the wedding planning she was always there to call or email if ever I needed to ask anything or needed help with anything, I honestly think we wouldn't have been able to do it all if it wasn't for Sara and all her help.
She is the best!
We had our wedding on the hottest day of the year which was a tad hot for me in my dress, but the staff were so helpful making sure I had enough fans around to cool me down they made me feel like a princess for the day and I am so grateful for all of their efforts.
The staff at Ashdown take so much pride in their jobs and you can definitely see that!
Our wedding day was the best day and it was all down to the people at Ashdown Park, I cannot thank them enough, I wish we could do it all again, it will truly be a day we will never forget, thank you everyone x

weather and could make full use of the stunning grounds. Everyone commented on how lovely the venue was and the food which was excellent and catered to a number of dietary requirements without fuss or making those people feel awkward. We didn't have to worry about anything on the day as everything was carried out perfectly by the staff and adapted to whatever was needed. The high quality of service carried on the following day for breakfast with our guests in our own private room and we were delighted to see the flowers from our wedding breakfast tables set out on the breakfast tables too which was a nice touch. We can't recommend Ashdown Park highly enough.

other guests in the hotel, we were made to feel as if we had the whole place to ourselves. The reception suite itself with the stained glass windows helps provide that extra wow factor during the meal and into the evening.

From our initial meeting through to the day itself, Lauren and her team were incredibly helpful, no request was too big or difficult to source and during the reception, Richard, his team and our Toastmaster helped ensure a smooth transition between each stage of the day and that we and our guests were all very well looked after. We would highly recommend Ashdown Park to anyone looking to hold their wedding there and will certainly be back for a visit again very soon!

the start to the very end of our wedding day. Scott & Richard who managed the whole day were absolutely terrific! There support, professionalism and expertise towards everyone was 10/10. Not forgetting all the hotel staff, chef's and waiters who helped make our day extra special. The food was outstanding, although we knew what to expect after our menu tasting- you certainly did not let us down!
Ashdown Park Hotel is the most stunning venue with beautiful grounds and surroundings of the Ashdown Forest. With the wedding ceremony and breakfast taking place in the former chapel that is part of the hotel, it made sure we set apart from other hotel guests, which is fantastic. It honestly felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves for that day.

Some of our guests stayed the night before the wedding and mentioned how wonderful all the staff were to deal with. Myself (Bride) and Chief Bridesmaid were upgraded to a beautiful suite to start of our experience with Ashdown Park.

The whole day itself, went so smoothly- i couldn't imagine we could have done it without the support and help of your whole team there at Ashdown. From the toastmaster to the hotel staff, and Lauren our wedding co-ordinator. It truly was the most magical day of our lives. I would certainly recommend anyone who is looking for the wow factor venue to visit Ashdown Park Hotel.

So to everyone there who helped with our special day, THANK YOU. And a massive thank you for our personalised dressing gowns, which were there to greet us in wrapped ribbon in our bridal suite the night of our wedding. What a lovely surprise! You defiantly made it official then!

were the guest rooms & bridal suite... There are deer on the grounds & a lovely lake & fountains where we had a lot of our photos taken.
The chapel area with the tall stained glass windows made sure our wedding was one to remember - the room looked amazing & topped with a live band & great food, the day was all we could have wished for. Our wedding breakfast & evening buffet with loads of cheese & biscuits, mini burgers, mini fish & chips, mini hot dogs etc were delicious & our guests loved it!
I recommend Ashdown Park to other brides & can honestly say the service, food, grounds etc were all excellent. As soon as we drove into the grounds we knew it was the venue for us :-)

venue and ensuring everything ran smoothly. I had organised a surprise band for my husband and the staff were extremely helpful in greeting the band and making sure that my husband was unaware of them until they started playing after the ceremony.
The hotel provide you with recommended suppliers which was extremely helpful.

wedding breakfast chapel room and its own bar. Its totally self contained and apart from the hotel (but still accessible via a corridor to the hotel, if its raining) so you don't have to worry about other hotel guests walking in to your wedding reception. The bar is ran at pub prices too, which was a big plus in our book. The food is exquisite and there is plenty of it.
We had 135 people for the ceremony & wedding breakfast and a further 50 guests in the evening. Everything from day one of booking our wedding, to the day after our wedding ran like clockwork. This was all down to the very experienced staff, not just Lauren & Richard and their team who were exceptional, but also the reservation, concierge, housekeeping, kitchen and waiting staff. They all know their jobs and everyone was so helpful and not at all pretentious (like so many other hotels) which made all the bridal party and our guests feel very relaxed.
Approx 80 of our guests stayed overnight and Lauren arranged for us to have a private breakfast the next day which prolonged our time spent with family members who had traveled from all over the world.
Our guests have not stopped commenting on our wedding day and we have had so many people say it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The venue, staff and hotels recommended suppliers are all top notch. If you want a wedding that you and your guests will remember forever then this is the venue for you. We couldn't have wished for a more perfect day and have already booked to return for our first wedding anniversary! Thank you to everyone at The Ashdown Park for making our wedding magical and beyond our wildest dreams. Mr & Mrs James!

location it would be easy for the Hotel, to provide a wedding without such an effort, so its great to have the best of both worlds. A special thank you to Lauren for the personal attention I received on my day, and helping me to re-arrange a few last minute problems.

We will definitely be returning for our 1st wedding anniversary, as this was the place where the proposal happened, so Ashdown has a place in our hearts.

is beautiful and the Jakob-Henniker Suite where the ceremony and wedding breakfast were held is a lovely room with lots of light, and although the room is next to the main hotel entrance you would never know it once inside. The gardens are amazing and the perfect setting for photos, we were able to use the walled gardens and also have some pictures taken by the lake in front of the fountain. We would definately recommend the Ashdown Park Hotel to any prospective couple planning their big day!

brilliant. Nothing was too much for them. To have our Champagne and Canapes in the Secret Garden started our party off so well. The wedding breakfast was delicious and all of guests had a thoroughly wonderful day. We had approx. 20 guests stay the night and we were given a private dining room for our breakfast the next morning which rounded our special day/weekend off completely. I would highly recommend this venue and trust the Team's expertise in the perfect running of your special day.

Our photographer commented that he had probably never been to such an attractive venue, he found the grounds stunning, perfect for a Bride & Groom to have photographs taken in.
