Balbirnie House hosted our wedding day and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Gaynor and her team were so attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful from the planning stage right through to the big day.

absolute pros at this. Special mentions to our MC, Angela, and Gaynor for making sure everything ran smoothly and was exactly how we had imagined it. I had hand-crafted our seating plan out of vases and artificial flowers, which on the day Angela beautifully arranged on my behalf.

The venue is stunning both inside and out, which with the unpredictable Scottish weather is definitely a bonus. We had the ceremony and drinks reception on the beautifully manicured lawns and were even allowed alpacas at the drinks reception as special guests! (They stole the show but were not even bothered). And the canapes and drinks were absolutely flowing which our guests greatly appreciated.

The food was first class and by far the best I’ve ever eaten at a wedding. And our guests staying in the house were all blown away by how spacious their rooms were.

We really couldn’t have asked for more. We’ve had a number of guests tell us it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to. Balbirnie even somehow arranged blazing sunshine for us! We wouldn’t have changed a thing about our wedding day, it really was perfect.

On behalf of my husband and I, we wanted to say a massive thank you to all Balbirnie staff.

Our day was made perfect because of a wonderful team, and a stunning venue and everything flowed so well! There was always someone to answer my questions over email and we had a few video calls to discuss …

plans. I reside in England so I was doing my planning at a distance and it was so much easier than I imagined!

The food was just delicious and I had great feedback from my guests. The house itself is pristine with friendly staff who had the house decorated as per all instructions and moved things around during the day depending on where guests were. But most importantly I think the thing we loved most was how Angela prioritised time for just Tony and I, helping us sneak in little moments alone. The day rushes by and it’s surprising how often you’re so busy! Angela really helped us to relax, take a breather and enjoy time as a very newly married couple and I will always appreciate this.

Special thanks to Leah for being our coordinator too - she is super smiley and friendly and so professional. And I would say that Balbirnie is also great value for money too :)

My bridesmaids and I also loved how big the pearl suite was - it was perfect and gave us plenty of space for getting ready (I had three bridesmaids and my mum and we didn’t feel on top of each other!)

And don’t worry if the Scottish weather takes over - Balbirnie has plenty of rooms and spaces for gorgeous photos!

Our wedding coordinator Angela was on hand from morning until night and kept us all on the right path to a smooth sailing day (even making sure the groom's fly plaid was sitting right).
