Fantastic!! Everything ran smoothly thanks to Morag. Brilliant day, meal was wonderful, night before and breakfast in room was amazing. Would most certainly recommend to any couples looking for a venue. Morag knows exactly what to do and advises accordingly.

Carnoustie Golf Hotel really put 110% effort into everything on our day.

From the very beginning at our initial walk around and discussions on package deals, to keeping everyone in line for the wedding breakfast (especially after a few Proseccos). They did a brilliant job. The care they gave us …

was out of this world, my wife being pregnant and unwell and in hospital just days before!! They kept her 100% comfortable and they had plans in place if she took unwell again.

The food!! Wow the food!
Was absolutely incredible absolutely out of this world definitely the best cheesecake I've ever tasted.

As I mentioned above my wife was pregnant at this time, however at this time no one else knew ! So Morag helped and advised us on the best way to do a baby reveal ( this is what we wanted to do on the day) and they pulled it off!! Everyone was stunned and so surprised.

On the day, I forgot the brooch for groomsman and best man, but Morag managed to source locally for us and free of charge!! She truly saved me that day for this!

So to summarise, Morag the wedding co-ordinator took care of us from the moment we set foot in the door to enquire and helped us tailor the wedding to our needs and budget. She took charge of absolutely everything and ensured everything was absolutely perfect. And I tell you now it was.

It was absolutely beautiful and amazing.

So from the bottom of my heart, Morag thank you and thank you to your team of professionals. You all should be so proud.

My message to anyone looking to book a wedding and you’re not sure or you’re stuck. Book here!! You won’t be disappointed.

Morag meets regularly with you and keeps all things flowing and is supportive with decisions and suggestions.
Nothing was too much and I did not have to worry as I knew everything was in hand.
My partner was very nervous but again Morag reassured him and advised him which was so much appreciated. We also had our young children and again they were made to feel so welcome and very much part of the day with Morag getting them to help with some jobs which made them feel so special.
The day ran like clockwork and it could not have been better, it was all we wished for and more.
I just wish we could do it all again.

Cannot recommend Carnoustie Hotel enough for a wedding venue. We had been let down by original venue and were struggling to find something we loved as much and could trust to run smoothly. From the minute we met Morag, we knew we had found what we were looking for.

and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were impressed with the package also. We had various meetings/phone calls before the wedding, making sure we had everything in order. On the day, she ensured everything was executed on time and as planned.
Morag was also approachable, always available and eager to help. She gave considerable advice and provided recommendations based on her notable experience. We requested slight changes to the package to accommodate our visions and there were never any issues, in fact, Morag went out of her way to help.
I am a worrier, but with Morag I felt at ease, our whole day ran so smoothly and was everything we planned it to be. The bridal suite and food were amazing, staff so helpful and cheery. We couldn’t have expected or wanted more and would like to thank all the staff for their amazing service.

We couldn't have picked a better venue and area.
Ourselves and most of our guests made a weekend of it, the golf lovers played golf, the 19th holers enjoyed the use of the bar area within the hotel and the Carnoustie and the Caledonia Golf Clubs which might I add the staff and club members made …

everyone feel very welcome. Some of our guests ate out, on the Friday night. The local Thai was a particular favourite and because it was a lovely evening, some took an evening stroll.
Myself ,friends and family made use of the spa area.
On the morning of the wedding, room service brought pre ordered breakfast to the bridal suite. Staff were friendly and helpful, nothing seemed too much bother and the breakfast was amazing.
Staff allocated my maid of honour the room next door to the bridal suite as there were 10 ladies having hair and make up done. We were able to set up in there. Thank you domestics, great job getting rooms sorted and back to being spotless!!!
While the ladies were being pampered, the men made use of the spa prior to enjoying their breakfast.
Morag kept everyone well informed with timings and explained the role of the page boy and flower girl to the children which was reassuring to them.
It made sense to us to use local business to provide flowers, and the cake, and Morag can advise.
We were fortunate to have a sunny day, meaning we got some lovely photos on the beach, which is a stone throw away, and our guests were able to sit on the large patio area enjoying the sun and a beverage.
What made us happy was that our guests were happy. Everyone said Carnoustie was a great venue for a wedding, with great food, served by helpful friendly staff and nothing was a bother. So many of our guests made reference to how well organised the staff were at serving out the wedding meal, it went like clockwork. The room and tables looked great.
We also stayed on the Sunday, just to chill and relax with guests, which was lovely because some had travelled from far and wide.

Morag was always available and so approachable in the run up to the big day. Every meeting we had made us trust her even more, and she was very accepting of all the different ideas we brought forward to her. Many of our guests on the day stated to us that she was very attentive and made sure everyone was happy and having a great day. We cannot thank her enough for everything she done for us from the run up to the actual day itself. We are forever grateful for her kindness and support.
We must also thank all the staff that were involved with our day. The reception staff, the bar staff, the waiting staff and the kitchen staff. Everything was perfect. All of them worked exceptionally hard and their efforts were not unnoticed. They were friendly, polite and professional and we are very thankful for their hard work.

our wedding, Morag was on hand to answer every little question I had. I was a bit worried, with the restrictions, about how the evening would be, but it was a very relaxed atmosphere. All of our guests commented on how smoothly the day ran. It was a fantastic day. A lot of that was down to Morag and her team keeping everything running like clockwork.

My dad was a bit nervous as he had never walked a daughter down the aisle but again, Morag was on hand to answer any questions he had. She was always there to help all of our guests. Morag and her team were great, working with all our suppliers and being very accommodating.

As a Carnoustie girl, born and bred, marrying a golf fanatic, there really was no other choice of venue. The accommodation, the food, the setting were just perfect. Morag and her team went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I and our guests were well looked after.

The meetings We had prior to the wedding made us feel at ease about the changes with covid and also any questions we had Morag managed to answer for us.

The day before the wedding Morag ensured that everything was in place and even the visit in the morning to check that everything was okay and ensuring that everything was set up as we had requested was above and beyond what we expected.

On the day of the wedding the care and attention to detail that we received from Morag was second to none. we cannot thank Morag enough for making our day so special. we were a bit apprehensive initially due to having to reduce numbers significantly, but with the support from Morag we could not have asked for a more intimate and beautiful day to remember. even during the wedding service our son who is 2 years old she ensured that he did not get out of the wedding room to enable us to enjoy the service. we feel that Morag went above and beyond our expectations and it shows she is extremely proud of her work and puts in so much time to ensure the wedding guests are all Enjoying themselves.

We cannot wait until next year for our wedding reception at the hotel. I'm sure it will be just as perfect as our wedding day.

There is a real sense of luxury and attention to detail as soon as you walk through the door. In the run up to the day Morag, our wedding planner was always easy to contact whether that be at the end of a phone call or email, there was always a swift and speedy reply. We were always aware of everything going on and it was so relaxing knowing that everything was being taken care of. Fast forward to our day and it just went from strength to strength. Nothing was to much to ask. The suits we hired the evening before were perfect for getting ready in the morning of the wedding. Plenty of space and room to move with no one getting under each other’s feet. Morag also came up to ensure everything was on track and helped get us ready and down on time. The room where our ceremony was held was actually the restaurant and it was perfect! The views out on to the golf course even on a wet miserable day were fantastic! Drinks reception after the ceremony with canapés was included in our package and was just what our guests needed to during that awakened time at a wedding. Due. To it being a miserable day we didn’t get pictures outside but we’re taken up stairs to a room where the balcony doors opened out with views of the golf course which made our pictures amazing!!! Our meal was delicious and all of our guests commented how nice it was. The evening reception also flowed in the same way with ease and joy! During the planning process we were overwhelmed at times, but Morag was always on hand to answer questions, responding really quickly, which was helpful in reducing anxieties and making decisions. She also helped us with understanding the whole process and making suggestions for the order of the day, which we had no idea about - this lady knows her stuff!
On the day, the staff were amazing - every single thing ran to plan, like clockwork. Morag was on hand to help out with everything, including reminding us to take time for ourselves before the meal.
The food was outstanding, and served with impressive timing.
Everyone was helpful and good natured and the whole atmosphere was perfect. My guests have all commented on how brilliant the day was, and continue to sing the praises of the venue, Morag and her team.
I cannot recommend Carnoustie Golf Hotel enough as a venue, and will be forever grateful to Morag for her role in our amazing day.

From our first visit to Carnoustie Golf Hotel we knew that’s there we had to have our special day, it not only has sentimental reasons but Morag Fraser just got our vision from the start, she made our wedding ours, didn’t compare to others, listened, advised and was there to answer any …

questions, concerns that we may have had.
After confirming our date which was just over a year later, Morag told us what we had to do regarding registrar, band the things you really need organised ASAP, we got all that done and started our planning, again popping into the hotel or sending emails making sure we were on track.
Stuart and I went for our taster menu and wow we were not disappointed, we did worry that it was too perfect and wouldn’t be the same on our wedding day but this was NOT the case. Our invites were sent out and we we were nearly there.
We didn’t go with any of the package deals that the hotel offer but based our wedding around them, we had 80 guests through the day and another 80 attending at night.
So myself, 6 bridesmaids, mum and flower girls arrived at the hotel the day before and we stayed in the hogan suite with rooms each side WOW these suites were simply stunning, from checking in the staff were attentive made sure we had everything we needed, housekeeping made up an extra bed, provided extra towels, reception staff dealt with favours and made sure they were ready for the next day, we had room service and the food was great, I was so chilled and relaxed just how you need to be on the eve of your wedding.
The day itself I’m still speechless about it was everything we ever dreamed it to be and more, from start to finish Morag and her team had it covered she knows her stuff and I feel very lucky to have such an experienced coordinator make our day so perfect, all the staff were amazing, the food was outstanding. I cannot rate this hotel and there staff enough. A day we will cherish forever, a day where all our guests smiled and were treated like royalty.

The hotel is spacious, well laid out and has a number of different areas guests can relax in or mingle if they choose to do so. The Augusta Suite had been renovated and modernised just weeks before our wedding and it served as a beautiful backdrop.
The food was also outstanding, plentiful and well received by all our guests. We had a number of vegan guests who were well catered for in every respect.
A special mention must go to Morag Fraser, event/wedding specialist. Morag's professionalism, attention to detail, approachability and communication throughout the whole process was exemplary. Our actual day went so smoothly, timings all on point and guests felt so welcomed. I have no doubt that this was a result of Morag and her very efficient teams planning, attentiveness and professionalism.

When we got upstairs and seen the lay out and the stunning view out the balcony we knew this was where we were getting married. From the very first meeting to leaving the hotel and still now we just couldn’t fault Morag and her team! If I had a question it was answered very quickly, if I wanted to pop in for another look or chat it was never a problem they just can’t go any more out of their way to help you and keep you calm and settled. Our day start to finish went so smoothly even the staff joined in the dancing with me in the evening. Her attention to detail really did help make our day so special. We had a menu tasting to help decide on our meal choice which we wanted to tweak slightly but was no issue to the staff and they were great at catering for all our guests dietary requirements, making sure all guests left feeling satisfied. On the day Morag and all the staff were great they were all on hand and very professional, I do believe this was the reason everything went so smoothly on our wedding day. A lot of our wedding guests have commented on how lovely the staff were and how the day went well due to the co-ordination and excellent communication from Morag. As we had quite a lot of guests travelling from down South to attend our wedding they stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, we also stayed for the 2 nights. All the guests had an enjoyable stay and the breakfast went down well too. Carnoustie is great for wedding photographs too, excellent group photos over the golf course and then we went to the beach for fun photos. dedicated Event Manager, Morag, who welcomed us from the moment we booked and kept us on the right track the whole way through, no request was too big or too small. Morag's attention to detail is second to none. She is so friendly and welcoming, we both thank her for her time throughout the build up and, in particular, on our special day, guiding us in the right direction with a flawless itinerary.

The food was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, we enjoyed an intimate tasting session in the hotel and, again, we cannot pick fault in this at all. We had the opportunity to make small adjustments to our choices which were done without fuss.

We really can't put into words how great our experience was and we shall continue to recommend this venue to our friends who are looking for their big day!

From arriving at the hotel the day before the wedding with many family members the staff did their upmost to ensure we had everything we needed. extremely helpful and gave us guidance on what we needed to do in planning our wedding. We had taster meals around 5 months before the wedding which definitely helped us in choosing our menu. Our wedding party stayed in the hotel the night before the wedding. My husband and his groomsmen all went and enjoyed the swimming pool and jaquzi on the morning of the wedding before beginning to get ready. The suite we stayed in was lovely and very spacious. This was handy for getting ready in the morning, and having our breakfast. Morag was on hand the morning of the wedding and communicated well about weather conditions, flower deliveries, guests arriving etc. The day was perfect. The weather was great so we had our ceremony outside. After the ceremony our photographer took photos of us with the golf course in the background which looks phenomenal then she took us down to Carnoustie beach to get some photos taken there. There was no long periods of hanging around for our guests. They were given canapes and post ceremony drinks while we were getting our photographs taken. When it came to the meal everyone commented on how delicious their meal was. Again no long periods in waiting in between courses either which was fantastic (especially when we had a few little ones as day guests). The buffet went down well too. We choose Bacon, Egg and Lorne rolls. Overall myself, my husband and all our guests had a brilliant day/night. They are still commenting on how great the day was 4 weeks on. I believe the staff at the hotel had a big part in making our day run smooth and successfully and I would without a doubt recommend having your wedding at Carnoustie hotel ❤

Have to point out that in the evening the young guy to took over was so helpful and even when above and beyond when a guest had phone later to say they had lost a ring he found it in the toilet plus when an extra table was required in evening it was not a bother he sorted out with no fuss. The staff serving meals and drinks at bar were a pleasure. Only draw back for me and my partner as the groom's found our guests got better rooms than us with balconies we didn't have that option, plus would have been nice if they had acknowledge that we were there for a wedding nothing in room like flowers or a bottle of wine to say good luck. But they were minor it didn't spoil the day for us at all.

After our Christmas day engagement we know we wanted to get married within the following 18 months and some where very local. From day 1 Morag Fraser our wedding co-ordinator was fantastic and offered us so much advice,suggestions and answered all our questions we had.
As we booked a package for our wedding with the hotel it took the strain out of organising everything individually...there were so many things included from a piper to taster sessions to a 6 month health spa membership for us both plus much much more!!
As the wedding got nearer we felt very at ease that the hotel were catering for all our needs.
All the staff with whom we came into contact with especially in the lead up to the wedding were fabulous!!

The big day arrived and it felt like we owned the Hotel for that one day .

EVERYTHING to offer – packages, price, setting, rooms, food choices and the excellent attitude and approach that the staff had towards us (Morag and Alison), so we decided to book for Sep 29th 2017 and so glad we did, our wedding day was amazing and really couldn’t have asked for any more and wouldn’t have changed a thing!

From the initial booking right throughout the process & to the end of our wedding day everything was perfect! Morag was so knowledgeable, professional and friendly, we were able to ask anything and nothing was too much trouble. We got married in the suite that overlooks the Golf Course, had our meal in the restaurant then evening reception in the Ballroom making use of all the hotel which was great. Morag guided us throughout the whole day and was always on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly. All our table decorations were laid out just to perfection, Morag has a great eye for detail, and the meal was fabulous and very generous portions, all our guests commented on how lovely the food was. A lovely venue for photographs out on the golf course or beach what more could you ask for. We received a discounted accommodation package for our guests which many choose to use, a very competitive rate for a 4 star including breakfast, the rooms were lovely as was breakfast. The hotel also allowed our wee dog to be part of our day which was great for us.
We decided to stay an extra night at the hotel which was lovely to just make use of all the facilities are on offer and again all the members of staff in all areas were so friendly and helpful making our whole experience so wonderful and memorable.

and knowledgeable - it was clear she knew a lot about weddings and was eager to share her expertise. She answered all our questions and gave us lots of tips as well. Since we live in Germany, we had to plan our wedding from a distance, and we had friends and family coming from all over the world. So needless to say the logistics of planning such an international event were more than a bit daunting..! However Morag and her team took it all in stride. They were incredibly adaptable and accommodating for all of our needs, and helped us put together the most amazing wedding day which we will never forget! The service we received on the day was excellent. Everyone was so warm and friendly, and you could tell they really cared about making it a wonderful day for us. We felt very well taken care of. The food in particular was absolutely scrumptious! We got so many compliments from our guests about good the meal was. And of course it was a stunning location for our photos. We were so thrilled to be able to take some gorgeous photos, not only on the green, but also on the beach (and as luck would have it, Mother Nature gifted us with the backdrop of a double rainbow!). flexibility of how to pay took so much pressure off what could be a stressful time. Nothing is too much hassle for them, and even if something does pop up (something always does), the team take it in their stride. I have no regrets about using the Golf Hotel and couldn't have asked for a better place to have had our wedding which was perfect from the food to the room itself. My guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and complimented the hotel on the staff and their willingness to make the day perfect for everybody there. We booked our wedding at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel after attending a wedding fare at the hotel.

Throughout the run up to the wedding we had many meetings with the meetings and events manager of the hotel whose experience of organising a wedding was extremely helpful giving us lots of valued …

advice and guidance.

Prior to the wedding we went along to the hotel to sample our wedding menu and the hotel adapted the menu to suit the needs of the guests. This included my mother who is gluten free.

The whole weekend of our wedding, our family and friends resided in the hotel and this made our weekend very special. The whole day was all planned out well by Morag and her staff. The meal was superb and all our guests have commented on the quality of the meal. The evening buffet was also excellent and catered for everyone's needs.

The package that we chose was excellent value for money and was hassle free as it included chair covers, flowers, place cards, menu's etc.

Myself and my husband would highly recommend choosing Carnoustie Golf Hotel as a venue for a wedding. The hotel and staff made us feel,very special on our big day.

We attended a wedding fare early in 2016 at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel, with the intention of using the fare for ideas on planning our wedding later in the year. However during the fare, we realised, that the Carnoustie Golf Hotel would be the ideal venue for us. It was centrally located for most of …

our guests, with accommodation and good transport links, for those travelling from further afield.
The fare also allowed us to choose other entertainments for the guests, Wedding cars, flowers and Baker's for the cake, a Roulette and Blackjack table for entertainment only, which was a big hit with all the guests and other useful information and services for planning a wedding.
We choose the Burnside package for the wedding, which was within our budget, but also with the option of adding extra guests (an extra 27 in all). This package included quite a few extras, including tables dressed, piper for the ceremony and reception to name just a few.
Morag, the wedding coordinator for the hotel, was a pleasure to work with, (as were all the hotel staff), with regular meetings, which kept both parties informed.
I am glad to say, that the wedding and reception both went extremely well. The menu selection was very good indeed and those with dietary restrictions well catered for.
I had no complaints from any of the guests about any aspects of the Wedding or reception.
We can highly recommend the Carnoustie Golf Hotel not only for weddings, but for other functions too.

The teem were fast at arranging the different rooms in time for each part of the day as we used three different rooms in the hotel for service, meal and the reception at night and were on hand to make sure the day went smoothly. The meals were all brought out quickly so everyone was eating at the same time ( have been to weddings before where the top table are on the desert while last table to be served on there main) tables cleared fast so no dirty dishes laying around. The guests who stayed in the hotel have good things to say about the rooms and service they received. We were pleased with everything. The only niggle I had was the the evening buffet was cleared away without letting Mike and I know and as a result we didn't get anything to eat, nor any of our cake! It was good value for money too. People commented on it being expensive and posh! We thought it was great value for money.

We are both sorry we have not replied sooner. Thank you Morag and your team for a wonderful day.

As it was the second marriage for both of us we did not want the typical wedding package. We approached Morag Fraser the Events Manager at the hotel and from the first meeting we were impressed. There were lots of options, suggestions and advice given which was very helpful.

decided on the style of day we wanted, Morag was a "font of all knowledge". She brought up things that we would never have thought about. She is a real asset to the hotel and was hugely beneficial in ensuring all aspects of our day were as we wished.

On the day Morag and the rest of her team kept us right and up to schedule. It was dealt with very professionally and the standard of service, food and drink was exceptional.

I would have no reservations about recommending this Carnoustie Golf Hotel as we feel the hotel and staff helped to make our day very successful.

gorgeous room overlooking the golf course. We went for the Championship Package which was ideal for us and took away a lot of the stress of thinking about all the individual things to organise. The package also included the Piper and an overnight stay in the Bridal Suite which was excellent. The 6 month gym membership was also included and we are taking advantage of this now over the winter months.
I would highly recommend Carnoustie Golf Hotel as Morag and her team will make sure you get the special day you dreamed of from start to finish.

Morag and her team kept us on schedule, supporting us make those important decisions and nothing was ever too much trouble. We felt truly welcomed and valued by every member of the hotel team, including the spa staff ( we received a 6 month membership as part of our package - this helped us remain chilled but also brought lots of opportunity to be at the hotel to discuss any details or questions we might have).
I have to say that Morag and her team ensured we had a magical day. I don't honestly believe it could have gone any better. I'm a bit of a control freak about details and presentation but I quite honestly could not have done any better myself...and I mean all of the little personal touches and having things 'just so'. On the day we were well looked after by everyone. Morag encouraged us to have our photographer visit before the day to plan her options and to be comfortable with the venue.
We had our tasting menu and the meal on the day was absolutely amazing - perfect, everyone spoke about the food, the waiting staff - in fact all of our guests loved the day. We had lots of guests staying for a few days and they were all well looked after throughout their stay.
We stayed in the bridal suite (part of the package) and loved every minute of our experience - I would not hesitate in recommending the Carnoustie Golf Hotel for your special day - you won't be disappointed.
The hotel, location, setting, (inside and out) just made this a perfect venue for us and the caring, professional and experienced staff were the icing on the cake. Don't take my word for it - go and visit and speak to Morag and her team...

champion package which included table centre pieces and chair covers. We were lucky enough to be given the Ben Hogan Suite to stay in the night before which was fantastic! More than enough space for everyone to get ready in the morning. The running of the day could not have gone any smoother, again thanks to Morag and the staff. The meal was delicious- getting to choose our own cheesecake flavour before hand was a real novelty! Everyone commented on the food, as well as the evening buffet where I think there were just crumbs left. At the end of the night the staff were not rushing guests away which we found different from other weddings we have attended ourselves and guests loved that as no one seemed to want the evening to end! Nothing was too much bother, Morag was always just an email away or at the end of the phone. We would highly recommend the hotel as a wedding venue and we would love to re-live our day again!

The buffet was delicious and the service from all staff was friendly and efficient. The staff made us feel so special all day, and it was such a relief not to worry about anything all day. had to make a number of changes leading up to the wedding day. This she took all in her stride. Changes in menu requests and late booking guests were no problem. The Spa staff also managed to accommodate late requests for treatments for the female members of the wedding party.

Our reception was held in the Ben Hogan Suite on the third floor. This held five tables comfortably with a maximum of ten at each table. The room was dressed magnificently and the view across the Carnoustie Links was one to remember forever. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and served by a superb team of friendly staff. There was no rush, just relaxed and chilled atmosphere.

Following the meal our wedding party found their way to the hotel bar where the staff joined in with our celebrations but in a professional manner. They looked after us all in a truly tremendous manner allowing both my wife and I and our guests to leave with the fond and happy memories of a truly special day

My wife and I would have no hesitation is recommending the Carnoustie Golf Hotel for a wedding reception.
