answered every question, accommodated every need, and was just lovely in general. She helped us plan our perfect day and helped up tailor it 100% to us, and we honestly had the most perfect day.

The staff were also amazing, from the food service to the bar service and at any point of the day, the staff attended to every need we had and were so friendly and kind. This was not only on our wedding day itself but also the breakfast the next day too.

The food was incredible and we have had so many of our guests come to us and say that it was the best wedding food they have ever had, and again the service was impeccable for everything from the wedding breakfast through to the breakfast the following day.

I couldn't recommend getting married at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa enough for anyone looking for a wedding venue. There is not one bad thing we have to say about our experience, it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The price is more than reasonable for what you get in the wedding package, the staff and service is faultless and the support you get from Laura is second to none.

Laura also gave us amazing recommendations like the pianist and fireworks that just made our day even more perfect. We could not be more grateful for our perfect day, and like I said, we are the luckiest newly-weds in the world. Thank you so much Laura for all of your support, and thank you to the staff for being the best!

in terms of a venue that had enough wow factor that would make people want to travel. Lake Vyrnwy didn't disappoint! Our guests were amazed by the beauty of the venue and many are booking return vacations. In terms of planning the wedding itself, the venue's wedding planner, Laura is the best in the business. She combines knowledge and enthusiasm with an organisational ability second to none, and does all this without compromising on that personal touch. During the course of the 6 months planning our wedding, Laura got to know US as people - our likes, dislikes, worries, and this led to the most amazing day. Laura was there on the day itself, organising and coordinating. As a venue, Lake Vyrnwy went above and beyond. They even helped with special touches such as making a bespoke soup to fit in with a family cultural tradition. The food on the day was incredible, portions huge, and many commented it was the best food they had ever eaten full stop...not just at a wedding! The evening entertainment was complimented by fireworks over the lake as suggested by Laura and the recommended vendor provided was excellent to work with.
Overall our wedding day was incredible. The venue is organised, reliable, a fair price, and they are of a high standard. If you are reading this wondering about Lake Vyrnwy as a venue you won't be disappointed and neither will your guests. The surrounding area is also beautiful and can compliment your wedding day with a trip to the Lake Vyrnwy hand, with it's nearby picnic area - we went here en masse the day after our wedding.

Elaine got in touch with Laura who was from the outset friendly and supportive. Nothing was too much trouble with lots of contact on the run up to the day. Throughout the whole process we knew that Laura was genuinely interested in making sure we and our guests had the very best day possible.

Laura also provided guidance on local suppliers who she knew well and had worked with before to make sure on the day everything went to plan, the hair and make up, the cake, the room dressing and of course the fireworks!

The layout of the room was switched seamlessly through the day for the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and then for the band and DJ.

The ceremony & function room were decorated beautifully and everyone commented on how great the whole day went. The food throughout the day was great, from the canapés to the Wedding Breakfast and then the hot snacks in the evening.

The whole day ran without a hitch due to the dedication of the experienced staff so a huge thank you to everyone at the hotel that made our day so very special!

The panoramic views from the main room were stunning through the day. The lake, the Dam and Hotel grounds were perfect for photos.

Our wedding was absolutely fantastic and our friends are still talking about it!

From the teas and coffees at the crack of dawn, the smooth ceremony, the most delicious food we have ever tasted, to the drinks service and smiling staff who were up for a bit of banter.

Thank you to Laura who always kept us in the loop and was only ever an email away for any questions we had on the run up to the day itself.

We really would recommend Lake Vyrnwy Hotel & Spa to anyone who is looking for the most idyllic venue, not only for the quite obvious stunning setting and views but for how all the staff make you feel so welcome and at home there.

outstanding, filling us with confidence that nothing was too much hassle, while the waiting staff were on point and the chefs provided flawless meals time and time again.

The cleaning staff was friendly and professional, with the rooms boasting all the convenience of modern facilities while retaining a unique classic look with all the quirks that come with that. The real highlight of the venue is its location, overlooking Llyn Efyrnwy, providing breath-taking views no matter the weather. Whether it's under a blanket of snow, enjoying a hot chocolate by a roaring fire, or kicking back on the balcony sipping an ice-cold beer in the sun; it'll be hard to find a location that's more spectacular for a late afternoon lunch or a full-blown wedding ceremony.

Communication was flawless, with the wedding coordinators and front of house staff on the ball and never more than an email or phone call away. We felt we were in the safest of hands and that they'd allow nothing to ruin the day. Cost of hiring the venue was also very reasonable considering the quality of food, venue, and scenery.

There is also plenty to see and do around the area. Whether you fancy taking the wedding party for a trip out on the lake in canoes, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, an adventurous hike through the woodlands; or just relax in the spa or in the bar with a drink, there's something for everyone.

I cannot recommend this venue enough and we have already decided to return here again for a visit once the confetti has settled from our wedding.

lots of emails whilst we were there, and when we arrived back we had a final meeting to ensure we were ready to go . The day before the wedding we had lots of guests staying at the hotel and all were treated with great service. Our bridal team had a rehearsal for the day, we all knew where we needed to be and how it was going to work.
Myself and my maid of honour went to the spa, the day before which was incredible and we had our nails done.
The day of the wedding, all staff were so wonderful and attentive. I honestly can't thank everyone who works there especially Laura and also Chris enough.
Highly recommend this venue. The views are just incredible, the staff are amazing and the food is delicious.

buffet the morning after...every single moment was handled with phenomenal care, attention and professionalism to make our weekend magical. It certainly was no easy feat housing 120 day guests and 200 night guests with many rowdy welsh and scottish friends and family members also staying in the hotel across the weekend. Laura and the entire hotel staff team made everyone feel so incredibly welcome from start to finish that it was the most wonderful atmosphere for our loved ones to be greeted by and we could not ask the staff to do any more. They truly went above and beyond for all our guests: from 3 years old to 90 years old. It was a weekend of joy, laughter and so many happy tears. The transition of the room was seamless, the catering to the needs of the hard-core partiers until the small hours of the morning even the fact we were able to take the whole day Friday to decorate ourselves just made everything so easy and stress free. There are so many more little things the staff did for us and our guests that are too numerous to mention in the characters left in this post. We will be forever grateful that we chose the hotel for our wedding day. If you need somewhere that has perfect views, amazing accommodation and world class staff then do not hesitate to book the Lake Vyrnwy Hotel! We hope they have now had time to recover from our raucous sing songs in the early hours of the morning ready to cater to even more couples and make their day as perfectly wonderful as ours. Absolutely nothing was a problem and there was always someone on hand to offer assistance before we even asked. Laura is a dream and her love for weddings shows in everything she does. When my hair and makeup were MIA, Laura contacted her own hairdresser and sourced a makeup artist to be on standby should they not show. Laura and the Hotel team made everything perfect. I'm pretty sure they even managed to arrange the beautiful sun-filled cloudless sky for the day!

Our guests individually commended the food (even the mother-in-law who is very picky, and my vegan friend was thrilled with her meal), the relaxed feel to the whole day and that the staff couldn't do enough. My cousin (a man of few words) was gushing over how amazing the staff had treated his disabled dad, offering to help and that nothing was a problem.

brilliant, her passion and pride for weddings goes further then it being her job, she will do anything to make sure the day is as perfect as possible. The restaurant staff are second to none making sure the whole running of the meals is done to timing and the food is fantastic, the whole running of the day could not have been better. There was nothing that wasn’t thought of, Laura and the staff were on hand with absolutely any questions and anything we needed. Price wise it’s a truly affordable venue and you get a lot for the day provided in the package which is great. We could not have asked for more from our day, it was truly magical from start to finish. From staying over the night before with my bridesmaids, using the spa facilities, to checking out with my now husband a day after the wedding, we wanted to stay longer as did not want to leave, everything was faultless. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of getting married at the venue to just book it. You will not regret it at all. I can not thank the whole team enough for everything they did and for making a long wait worth waiting for. I would recommend Lake Vyrnwy Hotel 100%.

with a large guest list were considered, however Laura & the hotel were only happy to accommodate us, and immediately knew how special it had to be.
We did not hire an external company for decorations, and had access plenty in advance the day before & after to complete the set-up exactly as we planned, plus great communication from the staff regarding table settings.
On the day felt like a fairytale; all of our needs were met and the staff were all absolutely fantastic! From room service to the bridal suite in the morning, to the most delicious dinner with perfect service, to the magically appearing bacon rolls and chips at night, all of our guests have said the day was just perfect!
All we had wished for for our wedding day was an easy, fun & memorable day, and we got exactly that, there wasn't a thing we would change, and we would highly recommend anyone looking at this venue to book!

large windows overlooking the lake which gave us the perfect backdrop and meant we only needed minimal decorations for the rooms. Although we did not have exclusive hire of the venue, the function rooms and terrace are separate to the main restaurant/facilities so it felt very private and secluded.

The hotel provided the food and drinks for our day which were delicious. We were able to be flexible with the menu and make lots of requests which was important to us, and the staff did everything they could to accommodate. We also had a lovely breakfast, included in the accommodation, at the main restaurant overlooking the lake. It was really nice to catch up with our guests here the following day.

The bedrooms were very comfortable and all my guests really enjoyed their stay. Each room was slightly different which added an extra touch to the stay. The night beforehand I stayed in the bridal suite which had a 4 poster bed and a great lounge area for me and the bridesmaids to get ready on the morning of the wedding. I had room service planned for my breakfast that day but I woke up and wanted something at 6:30 to settle my nerves; I called reception and a snack was very kindly brought up for me although breakfast was not open yet. I really appreciated small things like this, all the staff were very kind and helpful. We then stayed in room 3 on our wedding night which was really amazing - we can't wait to go back and stay again when we can actually spend longer relaxing!

We worked closely with Laura who helped us to plan our special day and made sure that everything ran smoothly.

were extremely friendly and welcoming at all our visits, and they helped us work out a bespoke deal that suited our personalities, and budget. The chef put together an amazing Mexican themed buffet menu (with lots of veggie and vegan options), which was a bit more than our original budget but still amazing value. We're so glad we did that as the food was incredible, and all our guests commented how fabulous and memorable it was.

Both Laura and Jess were great at talking us through every small detail to make sure nothing was overlooked and everything ran smoothly, and communication was great both in the run up and on the day. The staff were all extremely patient and reassuring with my constant emails and questions, but also as our plans went through multiple changes in a short space of time, including working around a very serious family illness. They even made an accessible room available on the day so our unwell family member had somewhere to rest during the day if they needed it. They really went above and beyond to take away any source of worry, so we could just enjoy our day. Everything went brilliantly on the day, we were lucky with gorgeous weather to take advantage of the amazing views, and our guests (and husband and I) had a wonderful day.

We had many overseas guests who had never seen the lake/Wales before, and it was such a joy to be able to share this special place with them for our wedding, so we're so glad we decided to check out the hotel, as we were able to have the relaxed wedding day we wanted in a stunning location. The final bill was
also very reasonable for the number of guests we had (nearly 100). Thank you so much everyone for making it happen!

get exactly what we were hoping for for our special day. We aren't local to the hotel so some of our meetings were accommodated virtually so that we could still proceed and just in general, nothing was too much trouble! We had SUCH a special wedding day at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa and would love to do it all over again in a heartbeat. I cannot thank the staff enough for ensuring our day will be one we continue to relive for a long time to come! I had a nail mishap the day before our wedding and the lovely ladies in the spa were quick to take the time to rectify the problem and reassured that they would be available to assist afterwards should I need it. We will certainly be returning as soon as we can and we definitely plan to book our 1st wedding anniversary in the hotel, any excuse to go back! Our guests haven't stopped mentioning about how lovely the location of our wedding was as well as how smooth it all went. I couldn't recommend the hotel more highly!! The food was excellent and lots of our guests commented that they were really impressed with the quality and taste. There were also lots of praise for the other meals guests had during their stay especially the breakfast.

The view at the hotel really is the winner ! It's like getting married in paradise.
We genuinely have no negative comments, everything we needed and wanted was organised and granted to us. We would recommend anyone who wants a stress free wedding in a beautiful setting to get married here!

that this was where we were going to get married.

From the moment we booked our special day, Lake Vyrnwy were nothing but incredible. Laura answered every question, every request, every query with such speed and detail that we knew everything was in safe hands. Being new to the role, if there was anything she wasn’t sure about she was able to find out and clarify so quickly we never worried about an answer.

We made a long weekend of the wedding by arriving on the Thursday. The hotel organised our Bridal Party afternoon tea the day before in the Conservatory which was incredible. We didn’t need to worry about anything and our guests all loved the chance to catch up before. We spent the Friday evening in the drawing room where our guests were able to eat and drink in a relaxed environment. The whole of the bar team were so attentive and accommodating and we thank them for allowing us to take over this space.

On the day of the wedding everything went without a glitch and Laura dealt with everything behind the scenes incredibly. We had no idea about half the things that were going on (including a request by the registrars to delay the wedding by an hour!) and we cannot thank Laura enough for keeping us both so relaxed that morning.
From the ceremony to the wedding breakfast our guests were all in awe of how incredible the venue and views were and we had so many comments on how amazing the food and drink was. We have always loved the food from the Tower Restaurant but the chefs really did outdo themselves with all the food we had.

Lake Vyrnwy really enabled us to personalise and tailor our wedding to exactly how we wanted it and we honestly had the best day of our lives. We are so grateful for everything the team at Lake Vyrnwy did for us and we cannot wait to come back and visit again soon!

canapés were delicious and the afternoon tea was amazing. The bacon and egg rolls in the evening were the best we had ever tasted!

All of the staff were incredible and were a joy to have around. A big shout out to Adam who couldn't do enough for us. We spent the next four days there and once again every single staff member were attentive and welcoming, making us feel like part of the family and very special.

We can't wait to return to see you all.

finally booked a meeting, we took ourselves and our boys - as they were a huge part in our wedding. The meeting was nice and relaxed, all our questions were answered, the children didn't faze anyone! We left feeling full of excitement. A few days later we booked our much longed for wedding.

Throughout the whole process, from meetings, phone calls and many email queries the events team had been fantastic. Nothing had ever been too much trouble at all. The hotel was amazingly accommodating for the various dietary requirements our families had.

One of the best things about the hotel was how great they were with our children. One of our biggest fears with finding our venue was it being "child friendly”. The hotel allowed us to visit as many times as we needed and even take the kids to rooms they’d be sleeping in (if empty) and walking around the event rooms. Allowing the kids to become familiar with the hotel before the big day.

A month before the big day we had a meeting with Tallis and Sue where we both went through everything we had noted down to check our timings and everything else matched for the day. Sue assured us that she'd make sure people were where they needed to be, when they were meant too.

The day before our big event we arrived to set up and once again nothing was too much trouble for Tallis and Jess, everything was walked through and finally it was time to relax let go and enjoy the process - which without Tallis and all the team, I’m sure i’d have been panicking, as I like to be in control and in charge of everything, but once everything was set up we felt 100% comfortable and knew we could Trust Tallis on taking the lead and making sure everything went as planned.

The whole team from Tallis and Sue (Both being super heros of your future wedding day) and the staff serving the food and drinks deserve a huge amount of credit, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Professionalism of the highest standards. The following morning we had breakfast in the conservatory with our guests and again the staff treated us with such care and made us feel incredibly special.

Overall our whole experience from start to finish was easy and stress free. We had so many amazing compliments about the staff, the venue, food - everything!! We had been engaged for 9 years, together for 12 but we finally got the wedding of our dreams all thanks to amazing people at Lake Vyrnwy Hotel!

service was exemplary throughout, we were made to feel at ease in our surroundings and were truly looked after for the duration of our stay. Catering for 130+ people is no easy feat but the hotel's staff managed it effortlessly with no compromise on quality.

the pictures of the hotel and beautiful scenery on the internet we knew this was definitely the place, we fell completely in love with it and we hadn't even been to visit the place then!!!! When I contacted the hotel to make arrangements the staff were only to happy to help. Once we'd decided on the date we wanted be married the staff arranged a date for us to go and visit the hotel and go through all our arrangements......the day came for us to visit and WOW the place was even more beautiful it was just breath taking and we knew then we had made the right choice. Going through all the arrangements with the wedding coordinator was just so easy and made us feel so relaxed about it all (as it can be a stressful time!!!)
When the time arrived for our wedding we decided to stay over 3 days which was a great decision as we arrived on the Monday and the wedding coordinator met us and went through the plans for our wedding the next day and we didn't really have to do anything apart from turn up!! They did everything. On the Monday evening had a gorgeous 3 course meal at the tower restaurant and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the food too but not only that it made us feel so relaxed and prepared us for our special day the next day. The day of our wedding finally arrived we had a lovely full Welsh breakfast in our suite which was delicious, and our wedding coordinator kept in contact with us making sure we had everything we needed and letting us know when our guests had arrived. The big moment:- As we had a small intimate wedding we got married in the Drawing Room which was a lovely size room for our wedding which when looking out of the window we seen the beautiful lake as we said our vows what a magical moment!!!! After the ceremony we had our photos taken and a lovely glass of bubbly. We decided to have our wedding meal in the Tavern so that our guests could have a choice what they would like to eat rather than a set wedding breakfast and a formal sit down meal, it was just so relaxed and care free and just what we wanted, the food from The Tavern was outstanding and our guests were really pleased with the quality of food....they all wanted more!!!! We had the most amazing day and we couldn't of asked for more, the staff, hotel, food, scenery were just so fantastic and the staff were so friendly and would always be there to help you. We just want to thank all at Lake Vrynwy Hotel for all that they did for us to make our stay and wedding a very relaxed and memorable one and something that will stay with us forever and to be treasured. This is definitely a perfect wedding venue whether you want a small or big wedding.
