the Manor was the perfect venue for this and surpassed all our expectations. Michael, Charles, Hanna and the rest of the team worked collaboratively with us to give us the most wonderful experience possible.
We were certainly made to feel like the Lord and Lady of the Manor for the weekend.

What a fabulous wedding day we had at the Lords of the Manor, it was perfect and all down to the wonderful surroundings and Hanna and her team who made it run so smoothly.

The day was just what we wanted, an intimate country house party with good food and wine.

From the moment we met the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the hotel, we were made to feel part of their family. What can we say? Idyllic surroundings, attentive staff where nothing was too much trouble for them and who often went above and beyond to ensure our friends and family were looked

after impeccably. Food and wine were amazing, customer service exemplary and all of the Lords of the Manor team made our exclusive use for our wedding perfect. We would highly recommend Lords of the Manor as a venue.

Lords of the Manor is a truly stunning venue, set in the picturesque village of Upper Slaughter in the Cotswolds. The Manor has a charming and traditional feel to it and the bedrooms are all very well maintained, and the Bridal Suite was amazing! The day went incredibly smoothly with huge thanks to

Hanna, the Events Manager, who made sure everything was seamless from start to finish and was very attentive to our needs over the nine months of planning. The food was exceptional and the service was faultless. The hotel staff provided a very warm greeting to all of our guests on arrival and looked after them throughout their stay. Our guests commented on the high level of service they received and the luxurious rooms they stayed in. Lords of the Manor made our wedding day very memorable and I can’t thank them enough for making the day so special for us. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a five star wedding experience in a luxurious Manor House, set in a beautiful quaint village surrounded by the English countryside. We are so pleased that we chose Lords of the Manor in Upper Slaughter for our Wedding. Paul Thompson (the hotel manager) made us feel completely at ease and nothing was too much trouble for him and his superb team. Communication was excellent and we certainly felt that we were in very capable hands.

The day itself was seamless and their attention to detail was a credit to the team. The food was excellent and I have only had top reviews from our guests. The atmosphere at this hotel was perfect for our winter wedding; log fires and a wonderful cosy atmosphere. The Tracy Room was just superb, so luxurious and with glorious views across the hotel gardens and grounds. I wouldn't change a thing about our day. We would just love to do it all over again!

We will certainly be back for another weekend in the Cotswolds and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Thank you again.

Best wishes
Jude & Tom Carey

From start to finish, Paul and his team at Lords of the Manor were simply outstanding!

Our initial conversation with Paul was informal yet informed. Paul has a superb ability to put you at ease and make everything you dream of feel possible. He took away any initial concerns we had about the

type of wedding we wanted, how we wanted it set up and we gained a real respect for the eye for detail that he has. As both grooms were incredibly focused on the small detail and making sure it was perfect, it was great to get the reassurance that Paul and his team were equally focused on making every last detail perfect.

Having had a number of meetings with Paul (more our desire to get every detail nailed, rather than necessarily needed!), you really felt that Paul had everything in hand.

On the day itself, it could not have been more perfect for us. Paul et al were superb and 'event managed' the whole day with superb grace, subtly and professionalism throughout. They were relentlessly focused on getting everything right, yet did it in a way that never compromised the wedding party. It was subtle and beautifully executed.

The venue itself speaks for itself. We were looking for somewhere that was intimate, unique and with character, that we could hold the wedding and reception in one place. We instantly fell in love with Lords of the Manor and would never have appreciated the beauty of this venue had we not visited. Very highly recommended.

Overall, I would describe Lords of the Manor as stunning. From the venue, to Paul himself, to his entire team; they never disappointed. A huge thanks from Alistair and I for organising a wedding our guests and we will never forget.

We booked our wedding at Lords of the Manor following a visit for a 70th birthday.
The team were absolutely fantastic, every aspect of the wedding was addressed and we were given guidance from the booking of the wedding right up until we left married!
We were always able to get access to the hotel

or to speak to anyone involved, we were kept up to date at all times regarding what was going to happen on the day, where everyone would be and what the flow of the day would be.
The attention to detail when we attended for our trial wedding breakfast was second to none; the Sommelier was incredible and the food was reflective of the standard you would expect from LotM.
The wedding day was so relaxed it didn't feel like a wedding. At no point during the process did I feel stressed about anything. On the day, we had 100% attention from designated staff in the hotel.
The nice thing about LotM was that life was continuing as usual for the other hotel guests, but there was no sense that anyone was being treated any differently as a result of a wedding party being there, which is a difficult balance to strike.
The team at LotM are incredible, their approach to managing people and communicating with people is fantastic. On the day, it didn't even feel like there was anyone there but us!
LotM provided floral arrangements for us around the hotel, in keeping with the environment and they were absolutely beautiful.
Every member of the wedding party felt valued and left with a sense of having been looked after, which is extremely important on such a special day.
I would recommend Lords of the Manor every time as our experience was memorable!
Paul Thomson and the team work extremely hard to ensure your experience here is memorable.
My recommendation would be, don't bother booking anywhere else, just book here - you won't be disappointed!

We got married at the Lords of the Manor in August 2014 and would recommend it as a wedding venue. Paul, the hotel manager, and his staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the planning of our wedding and on the day itself. As the hotel restricts the number of weddings held each year,

you felt that Paul and his team had enough time to devote to each wedding. The hotel was also very flexible, for example, we were able to bring in garden games/popcorn for the drinks reception.

During our stay, the hotel was very hospitable to our immediate families and it felt like it was our home for the weekend. In particular, our nephews and nieces were made to feel very welcome.

In terms of the facilities:

The Grounds
The grounds are wonderful and we were spoilt for choice for places to take our wedding photographs. We set up croquet and garden games on the lawn which worked very well for kids.

Rooms
The bridal suite was lovely and very spacious to get ready in. The largest rooms are also next to each other, which enables the wedding party to be together in the same part of the house.

Hotel
I was worried the room for dancing would be too small but it worked perfectly. It was nice having three separate rooms that guests could spend time in (the dancing room, bar and main lounge).

Food
The canapés and wedding breakfast were extremely tasty and beautifully presented. We had lots of comments from guests to say it was the best food they had been served at a wedding!

The hotel sourced a hog roast for us in the evening and this was excellent.

Overall, the Lords of the Manor were the perfect wedding venue. The hotel manager Paul was extremely accommodating from day one and his attention to detail enabled us to have a wedding day we will never forget.

Paul and his team were simply faultless. Paul himself is charm personified & no detail is too trivial or overlooked; he is patient, kind & fills a nervous bride with complete confidence in the busy build up to the big day and on the day itself. The hotel itself is beautiful but homely and welcoming;

the standard of food and wine was sensational; service was effortlessly impeccable but not obtrusive on the day and all set in the most beautiful cotswold countryside. It was truly the most memorable day of my life & every single guest without exception has said what a magnificent day they had all courtesy of the sublime Lords of the Manor.
