They were fantastic at making our special day and we could not have asked for anything better than the first-class service we received from them Lee and Karen always went above and beyond, to make our dream day come true. Karen made it so special from our planning to the day itself. I would highly recommend you all to anyone I know and already have to come and see how great the team is at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel our day was so wonderful and special to us both

Although as an older couple with a reception of only 24 guests, the amount of detail given and professionalism shown was nothing less than perfection.
From the first appointment to book the hotel, to our wedding day, we were guided every step of the way by the wedding team, they checked on progress at given times to ensure that both we as a couple and as the venue had everything covered.
On the day, nothing was left to chance, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was decorated immaculately, the staff were amazing, the day went like a dream and we cannot thank the hotel team enough for making our special day perfect.

The team were incredible, making sure the day ran on time, honestly everyone was amazing and couldn’t do more for us.

I have had so many people comment on how nice the food was, and we agreed it was so tasty and we really enjoyed it. We had a lot of guests around 130 and cooking for so many is no easy task, but the food was amazing, the wedding breakfast and the evening food! Even the Jacobean pub where we ate the night before and the breakfast was delicious!

All the staff did an amazing job at making sure our day went exactly how we wanted and we can’t thank them all enough.

The wedding team always responded to my emails so quickly and so any questions I had were answered quickly and any concerns were sorted which made the whole process stress free and enjoyable to organise!

The venue is stunning with beautiful grounds and the suppliers Rogerthorpe recommended were incredible and so glad we used them!

meet ups. They both made the process so easy & every question I asked was never a bother to them. They always got back to me within minutes no matter what query I had. For two years they’ve played a massive part in my life, planning and giving me the helping hand I needed in planning our perfect day.
Now to the actual day, it was absolutely AMAZING!! From setting the venue up with my vendors, to chatting to me to calm my nerves and just overall being super helpful throughout the day. A big thank you to Kerry for helping me get to the aisle & fluffing out my dress!
I want to give a massive thank you to Lee, I really couldn’t believe the lengths he went to make sure me & Dale were happy on our day. My dad also gives Lee a massive thank you for helping him with his speech (toast on cheese ;) )
He made sure the day swam smoothly, always looking after me & Dale, whether that be making sure we had a nibble to eat, sorting my dress out for me whilst I sat down, making sure guests were happy, photo bombing & just making everyone laugh. Lee was truly a massive part of my day & I will never forget the lengths he went to.

The whole wedding team at Rogerthorpe Manor are exceptional at their jobs & work really hard to make sure you have the most magical day. We certainly did!!

when I got my shoe stuck in the grate, they made my other half feel at ease too, not that he needed it! They were stood at the end of the aisle with a huge smile on their faces once we became Mr and Mrs and that was the best feeling, we were welcomed with drinks after the marriage. Unfortunately my husband ended up choking on a bit of food and again the staff stayed by his side all the way until he was okay which helped me as I needed to reassure the children. I fell totally in love with our ceremony room and they went above and beyond to allow us to all fit in the same room for our meal. Decorated it beautifully and just how I imagined.

From the big things like “who walks down first?” To getting the mother of the bride a toothbrush for the next morning, there wasn’t a single thing a miss.

Every step of the way they were only a phone call or email away and responded straight back putting my worries at ease. The night before my wedding I found out the other wedding on the same day had the same colour scheme and this put me in panic mode to which the team ensured me not to worry and everything was taken care of and our bits for the wedding eg table plans, wedding favours etc were all kept in separate rooms to ensure they didn’t get mixed up. Karen just went above & beyond for us. I was a little pain, swapping & changing things, and also adding things to our special day, but Karen being a trooper didn’t worry, nothing was ever a bother to her. I trusted her with our amazing day from the get go!
We spoke about the packages they put together they looked amazing, but we wanted to bespoke ours, so we chose our own little package.

Leading up to our special day Karen & Kerry would keep me in the loop about anything, emails pretty much every month just checking in. We felt like we could trust this amazing venue with anything.

Me & my bridesmaids were staying at the hotel so we could get ready & just enjoy the day without any added stresses. We had a meal the night before which was just divine.

The morning of the wedding came Karen sent some Prosecco up to our rooms so we could all get ready in style, we double checked through everything to make sure I was happy where everything was going.

My husband was blown away with how everything looked in the room, as was I, we booked sugar fairy weddings to decorate our gorgeous room, she exceeded our expectations by 1000%!
The staff at Rogerthorpe are amazing, from the bar staff, and waitresses, reception staff they made us feel so at ease so thank you so much.

The day itself was so beautiful, everything just went perfect, and it’s really down to the people running the show, which is Karen & her team. we can’t thank you enough you really run a tight but successful ship here at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel, and we can’t wait to come back next year for our first year anniversary.

She listened, helped and went above and beyond to make us feel like we should be enjoying our wedding planning once again. Always at the other end of the phone or a late night email.

The grounds are picturesque and our photographer made the most of this, plenty of space for the family to relax before and after our sit down meal.

The reception room easily sat 80 people comfortably for our sit down meal and 120 evening guests. Food was exceptional day and night quick service from the catering staff. A very professional but funny toastmaster Lee to keep people in order, always asking if he can help.

A special mention to Karen, Lee and Daniel who were instrumental in the day itself. Karen, THANK YOU, you were there for us through all the ups and downs of planning a wedding during a pandemic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no question too small. You were wonderfully patient with the Plan A, B, and C’s, through the tears and the laughter; we got there in the end and we can honestly say there’s no-one else we’d rather have had by our side throughout it all.

Lee, you were fantastic on the day, keeping everything running to time, and seamlessly flowing from one part of the day to the next. With Daniel looking after us and our guests throughout the evening, making sure we had what we needed, even a plate of food at one point (what a legend!)

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and there are so many spots for some truly memorable photographs.

The team at Rogerthorpe should be so proud of the work and effort that goes into hundreds of weddings throughout a year! They made a very nervous situation very calming with the manner and professionalism of each member from the receptionist to the chefs.
They catered for every need food wise and nothing was moaned at from our wedding perspective and I can imagine every other wedding, the chef is worth there weight in gold for the food prepared.
The wedding team and venue are so dedicated and organised for your wedding that you have no need to worry. They have wonderful wedding fayres and meal tasting nights which in case you have any doubts, can soon be put to bed! Also the wedding fayres are so organised and presentable it just goes to show that it truly is a team effort.
The wedding day itself was like clockwork and every person was smiling and helpful no matter the questions, the rooms were out of this world and many of our guests wished they could have stopped another night to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area! The rooms were immaculate and the wedding bedroom was beautifully decorated to make it special. Our guests were overwhelmed by the gorgeous layouts and presentation of the rooms and not to forget the morning after breakfast in the Jacobean pub which is to die for! It just rounds off such a perfect occasion and all 3 of us are so glad to have chosen this venue and would choose again without hesitation!

bar helped set everything up for our big day. On the day, our MC Lee was exactly what we wanted and kept everything moving but never interfering. The food was fantastic, the Dj was great, and the drinks were very well priced at the bar. The venue helped with the ceremony, including the sparklers, cake and decorations etc. The weather was good, and so the pictures look fantastic in the garden setting. The honeymoon suite was basically an entire house.

I absolutely can not fault this place in any respect, and I'm not sure how they do it for such a fair price. Much lesser venues are more expensive. In fact, I would say this place should charge more to reflect the service and surroundings. Not one of my guests had a bad word to say either about any aspect of our wedding. Our wedding was small at around 30 guests, but the day left us feeling like we had spent a fortune as the venue made us feel so important. I literally can't say a bad word about anything.

Karen and Kerry were absolutely fabulous through out all of my planning. They really helped to make our day perfect. I can't thank them enough for everything. I had the most perfect day, from start to finish. I definitely would highly recommend getting married here.

I have recently got married here and it is a fantastic venue. All the staff were so happy to help with everything. We had to change the date four times, and each time they was able to move the date. If we had a problem they were quick to sort it out. All the staff made you feel welcome.

to another location and after arriving we checked out as it was not what we expected so we called Rogerthorpe and again they made our stay amazing and couldn’t help us enough.
In total I stayed at the hotel for three nights in room 13, suite 16 and 18 and they were all clean with comfy beds and little shampoos and hands creams just to make the stay a little more special .
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice for everyone.
All our guests have commented on how great the venue and staff were and they have definitely made a lasting impression. We will definitely be back and can not recommend this hotel enough.

postponed three times due to covid restrictions, but when we got there they always put our minds at ease throughout all the replanning. I loved how they were such a friendly lot.
Lee gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and then proceeded to host our day to make sure everything ran smoothly. The room was dressed to perfection and the grounds were just stunning. We have some beautiful photos.

The meal was sensational and tasted amazing, especially the lasagne on the buffet.
Our bridal suite which was upgraded to suite 16 was worth it. I highly recommend the upgrade fee. Our breakfast the following morning was fantastic.

we got married on 31st july 2021 having picked rogerthorpe after our first meeting with karen who made our wedding perfect; we chose an intimate package marrying at 3 pm. guests arrived at the adjoing pub for a few drinks whilst my bride got ready (she stayed over the night before with her sister …

which i upgraded her room so they could stay there overnight, get ready in the morning before the ceremony without needing to change rooms etc). karen ensured all her belongings were taken over the marrital accomodation.

we were married at 3 pm utilising wakefield registry who were amazing and had everyone laughing with anecdotes and made it a special ceremony - guests were able to use the private bar and settle in the wonderful room before the bride entered.

after the ceremony we had lovely canopes on the sun terrace and guests could use either the bar area, spacious conservatory, sun terrace or have a wander round the grounds which are superb. our wedding photographs look amazing due to the various areas of the grounds, all with flowers and tress in bloom.

we had our wedding breakfast in the room next to where we were married - the room has recently been decorated and looks fab. the food is amazing and everybody commented on the friendly staff, food, and how relaxed the day had been been.

my best man set some music up in the conservatory (there is a further function room of the bar we could have used for even more guests but we were happy with the 28 who attended). there, guests could chat, catch up, have a dance in to the late evening.

the bride and groom suite is external to the hotel and looks like a converted barn; huge bed, seating area downstairs, upstairs another huge bath, wall mounted tv, surround speakers and walk in shower - a real treat.

in essence - watch the youtube clip recently uploaded of a drone capturing the grounds - they are superb. we had an amazing day, this was down to all the staff, karen helped plan and was always available !

Karen is the absolute best, whenever you need her she is right there with all the answers and in amazing response time (even through Covid when she didn’t know the answers herself but still went above and beyond to be reassuring).

On the day they made sure they did everything we asked for and more and Lee was fantastic at making sure the day ran as planned and on time. It was absolutely perfect. All of our guests commented on how stunning the venue was and how lovely the food was.

We were supposed to get married in April 2020 but... the c word! Karen and the team were absolutely amazing, helping us to rearrange and keeping us up to date with any changes or updates.

It turned out we were only allowed 15 …

people to attend the ceremony due to the Government restrictions, but this wasn't going to stop us (again!). The Day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Karen was there in the morning to calm my nerves And make me feel at ease. We brought some of Our own decorations and they were set out for us and everything we had booked just seemed to MIRACULOUSLY appear (thank you Karen and the team) - I didn't have to worry about a single thing!

We were lucky enough to have the ceremony outside - the grounds and backdrop is just beautiful for a Wedding! Our indoor room was also set up, just in case, and it was gorgeous! A few of us stayed behind for some food and drinks at the Jacobean pub - the staff, drinks and food were great! Couldn’t fault anything.

We Stayed in the new suite, The Hideaway - it was perfect for getting ready in the morning and is such an amazing room for your wedding night - we sat out in the private courtyard and had a couple of drinks, just us two, in the evening. I Would DEFINITELY recommend this room, the bath and shower is to die for!

We booked the Pamper party for myself and bridal party the night prior to the wedding and it really added to the whole experience. So much is included and the girls who did the treatments were lovely and great with my two young girls.
The day itself ran so smoothly I didn’t have to think or worry about anything and the staff Took care of every little detail ! Things I would never have thought about ( like being cold during outside photos and having a blanket to hand or having a half full glass of wine and having it filled straight back up ) the venue worked well with everything else we had booked and everything was set up as it should have been without a hiccup. I felt like a princess throughout the day and There was a special mention to the staff during the speeches as we just couldn’t praise them enough.
The food was delicious , the canapés , the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet and I had many guest tell me how nice it was.
There are so many places to take photographs especially outside , a lot of little hidden places to take perfect photos.
This was a warm and friendly environment throughout and it made for an extremely personal experience.

What’s the worst can I say? ...
Absolutely nothing!
From start to finish Karen has been a godsend, every brides dream planner, this woman knows, she just knows the right things to say and to help get you the experience of a we’d day you expect, the bald guy.. he’s absolutely hilarious but …

oh boy he runs a tight schedule to make sure your day is perfect! Absolutely fab at his job.
Then the lovely Gillian on reception..the woman is wonderful, not just in rigid expectations of customer service but as a normal person alongside that goes the extra mile :) keep going girl, you’ll go far!
The grounds of rogerthorpe manor are nothing short of stunning, there’s so much beauty to take in its overwhelming.
The function rooms, pristine and to a very high standard, but exactly as we wanted them.
The wedding room was absolutely perfect... I want to stroll down that pretty isle again...
it was absolutely phenomenal!!
The food, we opted for hog roast, my gosh that was amazing! So many people commented on how nice it was, and how professional and friendly the service staff were.
I had over 150 guests at a guess if not more in the evening and everyone all said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, it really was perfect from start to finish.
Our rooms were beautiful, suite 16 on our wedding night was well worth the the extra fee, again beautiful with a personal touch.
If your getting married... go see Karen and Sarah at rogerthorpe manor, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

with our flower girls and page boys when I arrived and made me feel so at ease. I was so nervous and she made me feel so calm, directing everyone to go down the aisle so we didn’t even need to think about it! The staff on reception also helped in keeping me calm so that was lovely too! The whole atmosphere was perfect. We got married outside under the folly; the gardens and the folly itself was all dressed in beautiful flowers which looked amazing- I can see why they have won an award for it! Our master of ceremonies was Lee who was so down to earth, comical and charming- so many of our families and friends commented on how brilliant he was and are still talking about him 4 days on! The staff had decorated our tables and room exactly how we had imagined it. We had a BBQ which was delicious and the Coeliac’s and Vegetarians were catered for perfectly. The meal and speeches were directed by Lee- there was lots of laughter and tears! The DJ included in our package (prosound disco) was fantastic- he played every single song that we had asked for and didn’t play anything we didn’t want; I gave him a long list of do’s and don’ts which he followed perfectly. We stayed in one of the outside converted barn rooms (no. 17) which was amazing and the buffet breakfast the next morning was so delicious. professionalism continued on the morning of our wedding when the house cleaning team continued Rogerthorpe Manors friendly, efficient and most helpful quality. At the start of the Ceremony we were introduced to Lee who guided, supported and organised our wedding guests to the highest standard, while being professional, charming and very humorous. Lee kept Dean and I informed and updated with the order of the day, the room layouts ( reception meal and evening disco), speeches, gathering guests for photos, drinks etc etc. His presence certainly contributed to making everything perfect.
Id now like to thank the catering team, starting with Janet who efficiently ran her team of waitresses and waiters to the highest standard and as always with such professionalism and friendly manner. The waitresses and waiters themselves were professional, efficient, friendly, well presented and incredibly well mannered. Moving into the evening, Steve the waiter continued Rogerthorpes high standards, being very smart, helpful, enthusiastic and efficient, Steve and the evening team continued to make the whole event far exceed our expectations.
At this point, I must congratulate the gentleman, whose name I've forgotten, who maintains the gardens and whom I was lucky enough to chat with during my stay. It's so obvious he takes great pride in his job and the gardens, which was one of the first attributes that influenced us to choose Rogerthorpe Manor to celebrate our marriage.

been excellent, always on hand for support. I e-mailed all sorts of ridiculous questions at silly times of day and Karen never failed to get back to me. I felt supported and like everything was in control throughout all the planning and on the day. The night before the wedding I booked a suite for myself and my MOH, (Suite 16!) The suite was absolutely amazing, I was stunned at how beautiful it was. It was a very large size that meant we could all comfortably get ready before the ceremony and my wedding photographer was able to take beautiful photos in the room, some of which were beyond stunning. Karen came to collect me right on time and we were away for the ceremony. This went off without a hitch, much like the rest of the day. This is where Karen passed me over to Lee, the amazing master of ceremonies. Lee is in control and is able to get guests in line when they are not following directions, PERFECT! Lee was an absolute laugh and made mine and my husbands day run even smoother and we felt supported and cared for throughout the day. The hotel staff were amazing and we were even left a lovely card and present in our Honeymoon Suite, which was just as beautiful as suite 16. Our day could not have been more perfect and this was all due to the staff at the Manor. We also got to enjoy both the beautiful gardens and the surrounding location of the hotel which was not only romantic for my husband and I but also gave us amazing photo opportunities. We're looking forward to revisiting the manor at some point over the next year, possibly for our anniversary!

I cannot praise Rogerthorpe Manor and its staff enough.
From the first day of meeting Karen (Wedding Events Organiser) who is such a lovely and professional lady who took so much of the worry away. Helping, advising and being on hand anytime if we needed to contact her.

members) stayed at Rogerthorpe on the eve of the wedding in a family suite which was lovely with beautiful views across one of the gardens.

We dined there that night in the Jacobean and had breakfast in the morning.
Now I do not exaggerate when I say the food is second to none, absolutely top notch..
From beginning to end, all the staff always so polite and courteous and nothing was to much trouble.

The wedding day meal itself from the Bride & Groom and guest arriving to welcome drinks, photographs in the wonderful gardens and settings, to being escorted into the meal, where the room and the tables where dressed beautifully.
To being discreetly guided through out for the speeches/toasts, present giving, cake cutting etc was wonderful.
Again the wedding meal was fantastic. The food again I can only say, I'm sure they must have a Michelin Chef or two working tirelessly behind the scenes. The waiting staff, and Karen again were fantastic making sure everything ran according to plan and they did an outstanding job.

Rogerthorpe Manor itself is a beautiful historical manor set in the countryside with the most exquisite gardens/grounds making for the most wonderful photo opportunities for the bridal party.

Any faults?? Absolutely none..
It really was the perfect day in every way.

We got married here 7th September 2017, and it was an amazing day! From start to finish there was always someone there helping you. The venue and grounds are to die for! The staff are extremely friendly. Big thanks to the wedding coordinator Karen, she was amazing and answered any questions I had.

6 months with loads of support from Karen, hotel is in amazing setting with beautifully kept gardens. We get married outside and set up was amazing, All our tables were ready decorated how we wanted, seating plan great, with no mistakes, amazing staff helpful and caring, evening turn around was that quick we were nicely surprised, we had to postpone our evening buffet due to slight delay our wedding breakfast but that wasn't problem at all. We had best day of our life so far and this place is a gem for wedding. Lovely bedroom, absolutely amazing suites outside. We stayed in suite 16 and from fist venue show around this was our favorite room. Early check in was great and there was no problem. Room service available as well and lovely breakfast. All our wedding guests complimented on food, service, venue, everyone were just happy, relaxed and enjoyed them selves. Us as married couple we could not wish for more relaxing, stress free wedding. we needed to contact her. We stayed at Rogerthorpe on the eve of the wedding in a family suite which was lovely with beautiful views across one of the gardens. We dined there that night in the Jacobean and had breakfast in the morning. Now I do not exaggerate when I say the food is second to none, absolutely top notch..
From beginning to end, all the staff always so polite and courteous and nothing was to much trouble. The wedding day meal itself from the Bride & Groom and guest arriving to welcome drinks, photographs in the wonderful gardens and settings, to being escorted into the meal, where the room and the tables where dressed beautifully. To being discreetly guided through out for the speeches/toasts, present giving, cake cutting etc was wonderful. Again the wedding meal was fantastic.
The food again I can only say, I'm sure they must have a Michelin Chef or two working tirelessly behind the scenes. The waiting staff, and Karen again were fantastic making sure everything ran according to plan and they did an outstanding job.
Rogerthorpe Manor itself is a beautiful historical manor set in the countryside with the most exquisite gardens/grounds making for the most wonderful photo opportunities for the bridal party.
Any faults?? Absolutely none.. It really was the perfect day in every way. Thank you so much to Rogerthorpe Manor and its wonderful staff (those we had contact with and those who work just as hard behind the scenes) for making dreams come true.

Well where do I start. Rogerthorpe Manor was the 3rd wedding venue we looked at when we were searching for the perfect wedding venue, we arrived at our appointment 15mins early so had chance to scope out the exterior before meeting with the wedding coordinator Karen, and WOW we were blown away by …

how beautiful the venue was and we had not even seen inside yet at this point. We loved how beautiful the gardening is, the arches that surround the grounds and also embraced how peaceful the grounds looked. When we finally got inside to meet with Karen we got a warm welcoming rapport from her and automatically liked her. She went through all the different packages, asked about us, showed us their wedding photo books (which helped us to find our photographers AD Photography) and was just interested in our wedding planning and needs. Once we had gone through everything, she showed us round the venue even the bridal suite and from this point had fallen in love with the venue, but because it was still early days for us we didn't want to jump to it straight away but as a safe bet asked her to pencil our name in just in case anybody else was trying to steal it from us. 2 weeks went by and 6 more venues later we still wasn't blown away by anything and was secretly comparing them to rogerthorpe and then as we left another venue just looked at each other and knew rogerthorpe Manor was the one! And so we booked it!! As months went on Karen's communication was very punctual and professional at all times and answered any questions or worries we had. As it got closer to the wedding and we had our final details meeting she went through all of our requests and accommodated them to the best of her ability, and went the extra mile for us. Our wedding day was spectacular even though we were running behind on time due to lots of photos at the church we had a tremendous day and known of our guests had a bad thing to say. The wedding breakfast was perfect and the Hog Roast...WOW! smelled beautiful and all of my guests demolished it, gutted I didn't get a taste due to being too busy being the bride but as long as my guests enjoyed it. Our bridal suite was amazing and the rooms have been updated since we last saw it a year ago, the bathroom was like something you see in an expensive bathroom store wow! Our bed was super comfy and made it a comfortable sleep after all the dancing all night. The breakfast the next morning was very tasty and helped with my hangover. Overall our wedding at Rogerthorpe Manor was better than anything we could have dreamed of, thank you for accommodating us and making our day amazing. Well what can I say... wow wow wow. I love this place.. the staff did everything they could do make our wedding special. The grounds are amazing. Stayed in suite 16 it is amazing.. we have stayed many times and we have found all the rooms we have stayed in brilliant.

Our wedding day (22/10/16) was our first experience of a wedding at the manor and what a fantastic experience it was from beginning to end. We had the best day of our lives. The staff, the food, the grounds, the rooms, the breakfast... everything was fabulous! The day ran so smoothly and couldn't have really gone any better. The only small issue we had were a few guests from the second wedding at the manor taking advantage of our evening hog roast and buffet. This cannot really be helped and it didn't spoil our day in the slightest.
We upgraded to one of the new suites and were so impressed with the room. We would love to stay again!
We highly recommend Rogerthorpe and we will continue to return for family gatherings. We will look forward to returning for our 1st anniversary too. If we could go back and do it again we would definitely choose Rogerthorpe!

The food at both the breakfast and on the evening buffet was excellent - really tasty & was enjoyed by all our guests.

The room decoration was also excellent, from the items provided in our package by Rogerthorpe Manor to the decorations taken by myself and kindly put out by the staff.

The evening DJ was fantastic and followed our requests to the letter ensuring the music played was what we wanted and also taking requests from guests on the night.

Overall, we would highly refommend this venue for an excellent wedding reception venue and hope to attend weddings here in the future.

We recently got married at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel, and had a lovely day. The run up to our wedding and all our queries we had were dealt with professionally buy Karen Hunter and Nicola Farnham, they were extremely helpful.
On the day of our wedding the room for the ceremony looked beautiful and …

everything was just perfect. The gardens are amazing, this was a big part of why we chose Rogerthorpe as our wedding venue. Also the food was fantastic, portion sizes were very good and it taste delicious. Our Master of Ceremonies, Janet, was very helpful and friendly too.
Our reception room, The Lawrence Suite, was transformed for the evening reception and it looked great. Everyone had a brilliant day and we have lovely memories to treasure. One of the bar staff called Rebecca was very understanding and forgiving about an awkward guest, she was lovely.
There were a few occasions I was spoken to by staff on the reception desk, and their attitude was terrible. I also had some guests inform me they had been told off for asking to get flowers from my room that had been left up there.
There was another wedding on the same day as ours and I understand that the bride and groom from each wedding party should not cross paths, but we were unable to leave our room all night. I think the timings of the two weddings were all wrong, once our wedding breakfast and speeches were over we could not go anywhere else in the hotel as the other wedding was ongoing. It seemed they had the run of the whole hotel and could wander wherever, but this was not the case for us.
That evening, some guests were also told they should not walk through the conservatory to our reception room and were unsure of another way to go.
We were also very disappointed with our bridal suite, when you see brochures or pictures online, you expect the huge room with the large seating area. But when we saw our room it was very small and dark, nothing in comparison to the other bridal suite.
It just seems to me that having an early wedding in The Lawrence Suite, which was not cheap, should receive the same service as The Cawthorne wedding.
Also, one more thing that really got to me... We were told we had until 11am the following morning to remove our wedding items from the reception room. When we got downstairs we were then informed we only had until 10am as there was another wedding on. Our items were just thrown onto a table in the corner of the room and the remainder of our wedding cake was all squashed. It felt as if we were no longer important guests as our day was done with.
Don't get me wrong, our day was beautiful, but there were things that did not go as expected too. I would not recommend holding a wedding there unless you are the only wedding that day or you book The Cawthorne Suite, as they just seemed to have the best of everything.

We have just got back from Honeymoon, and first thing was to write a review on the fantastic wedding venue and fabulous day we had at the Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel. We booked our wedding around 10 months ago, and did a little swap and change on the date we finally settled on. Throughout this decision …

making the staff in particular Claire at that time were very patient and accommodating. When the date was booked it was over to Karen who dealt with queries, and updates promptly via email and by phone return. All arrangements were made and on the day it was effortless. The day although starting at 11.00 hours went so smoothly without any problem or concern. We had our ceremony, which was brilliant and we got to our posts on time without being seen - thanks to Karen. After the ceremony photographs were taken in the grounds of the hotel which were impeccable, with a large expanse of grassed area, flowers, stoneware and arches etc. The room which was the Cawthorne Suite was then transformed into the wedding breakfast room. All details place settings decorations were in place. We were then looked after by the MC Janet who looked after us very well. Pampering to our every need. The food on the day was served promptly, hot and well presented by silver service. The dinner itself was delicious. The room was then transformed into the night venue, which was also tastefully decorated and set out for the disco. The MC Janet set out our sweet table, and made sure the DJ was present. the hotel DJ was brilliant all the music I had asked for and more. Lots of people dancing to the music genre. Thank you. The buffet was set out and again the food was delicious, and lots of people commenting on the food, as it was a hot and cold buffet. we also had desserts, and again people were commenting on the quality of the food. person lunch: goodness, so impressed with the food, and service (silver service, no less) -- then the ceremonies (faultless) which segued into a massive evening party with buffet and disco; the dance floor was packed all night, the vibe was excellent. We stayed 2 nights. The manor is a great place, 2 super restaurants with real old-fashioned charm. Staff wonderful and warm folk, totally gay friendly. Really pleased and highly recommend.

I had the most amazing wedding, the hotel and staff are second to none, the food was lovely and I would highly recommend. I have also given a review on trip advisor.

Thank you for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed of! The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. A special thank you to Marton for being organised and making sure we had everything we needed! :)

We really enjoyed our wedding. The day was well organised and the venue looked amazing. The food was also of a high standard and many of our guests commented on how nice the food was especially the buffet. Thanks to Karen for all your help organizing our day!

A fantastic experience from start to finish, could not fault the day at all (even the weather was good). Would definitely recommend to family and friends and we will be returning to the Manor in the near future.
