Manchester)! They all went above and beyond to make our day the most special experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything went so smoothly (and considering there was another wedding on the same day, we were so impressed with how organized everything was).

Everyone commented on how nice everything was, from the decor to the food, and how attentive the staff were. Even when we visited before the big day with family, Jamie & Clare took time out of their busy days to introduce themselves and made our family feel so welcome. They even gave us our first wedding card, which was a nice personal touch.

I could not recommend this place enough to celebrate your special day.

ensured things rolled into place just as I asked (even if I mithered her) and made things happen as I requested. The guys who looked after us on the day and evening what can I say..their professional care and approach towards myself, my husband and my guest was spot on I could not fault them at all, Mo - I'd like to thank you for looking after me the evening before my wedding and calming nerves and explaining how the events of the day were going to unfold. Collin absolutely starred from start to finish and directed everything on our wedding day, he just was not fazed at all and we can. not thank him enough always had a smile too.... Jamie took over later and yet again on young man who directed everything to the end of the night, professional with a smile again.
Lastly, I'd like to thank Miguel who made the cocktails..you made my night and they were perfect, thank you again for making one of my wedding wishes perfect... I could not have asked for a better wedding anywhere it was beyond perfect for me and I'm hard to please. The food was out of this world and people actually have written it is the best wedding meal they have ever eaten at a wedding, so compliments to the chef..... so again I highly recommend Smokies if you're looking for somewhere to host your wedding.

On the day of our wedding, Jamie couldn't have done enough to help all our wedding party, from checking up on me a few times in the morning, explaining what was happening next and telling me to relax and enjoy the day. He ensured everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there! The whole day was everything we wanted and more, everything ran so smoothly and Jamie and his attention to detail ensured this to a T!
Everyone commented on how helpful all the staff were and how lovely the rooms were! We all had such a fabulous day, we love talking about it still and we owe that to all of you, you genuinely cared that we had the best day and that's priceless, what a team!

discussions with Clare & Sophie, to upon our special day, to the day itself where Jamie & Sophie played a big part of our day. They made sure it all ran smoothly and everything was perfect for us, we cannot thank Smokies & all the staff enough they was AMAZING & made our day that bit special ✨️

The process of making our dream wedding come true with the help of the suppliers Smokies use "Joyous moments - Stef, Elegant_cakes_design_by_lou, High style Cars - Phil & DJ Tony "
Smokies also accommodate extras I had booked i.e - wedding singer (Laura&thesax) our saxophonist Ben (saxeveryweekend) Our 360 booth by (grande_events_mcr) & finally our Photographer Tony (Manchester Photographer). It was more than what we could have ever imagined.

I'd highly recommend Smokies for weddings & even just a celebration venue, it's perfect & the whole day couldn't of gone any better.

Shout out to Bruno the chef - couldn't be happier with the service of food & evening buffet - all guests commented on how amazing the food was & the variety we had. He also catered for special dietary requirements and there were no issues.

Lastly I just want to say a massive thank you to Smokies Wedding organisers for everything you did for myself & James - even to gathering all our belongings at the end of the evening and checking us into the bridal suite and taking our bags up to our room - Jamie and all the staff at the night time were great.

fast, we just didn’t want it to end! We renewed our wedding vows there and originally had a church wedding but we highly recommend any couple just having the whole day there! You will not be disappointed. We certainly weren't.

day of booking, she is amazing and a credit to the hotel. The day ran perfectly, smoothly and stress free because of her and her team. Tom was lovely and helpful, the bar-staff and waiting staff were lovely aswell, I couldn't of asked for a better team to help with my wedding. we could relax and enjoy our night. There was a great selection for the buffet and everyone said the food was great.
The Medlock Suite was the perfect size for the number of guests we had and was accessible for our elderly grandparents as it was flat and the toilet was close by. We used their venue dressers, Joyous Moments and the room looked stunning! The bridal suites are large, modern and comfortable and the light is perfect for makeup. I would 100% recommend!

experience so special and easy.
The night before the wedding we stayed in the bridal suite, I've never seen a room like it, it was spacious,clean, beautiful.
The wedding day. Everything ran so smooth. We couldn't make it to breakfast as hair and makeup was there, Smokies went above and beyond and made us a breakfast buffet and brought it to our rooms. Sophie also came up to greet me and check that everything was okay, which was amazing.

The ceremony - the venue dressing was breath taking, it was beautiful. I had 2 children singing at my ceremony and Sophie went above and beyond again and spoke to them so they knew exactly what they were doing.

Then on to out meal, again the room look absolutely amazing, all our favours were out etc. Smokies staff announced us into the room, and then the meal arrived. The food was fresh, warm and delicious. Smokies catered for all the guest who had allergies to, which was fab because we had quite a few in our wedding party. Everyone commenting on how delicious our food was and friendly all the staff were.
The Evening, Again a fast turn around and the room was ready, they set my sweet table up and anything else I wanted in the room. All these things I discussed with Sophie before the wedding and I didn't have to say anything on the day, it just happened. Another amazing thing.

I need to just mention Sophie, Preston,Miguel and the lovely lady who announce us and directed the staff. We couldn't have done our wedding day without you, you went above and beyond all day and made our day the most special day of our lives.

restaurant and then extra breakfast up in the bridal suite...Then the day and evening were absolutely fabulous.. We wouldn't of changed anything about our day from start to finish...
Our wedding planner was Sarah and she was wonderful and made us feel so at ease and relaxed before our day aswell as on the day... On the day Sophie was looking after us and she was absolutely fantastic and she went above and beyond to ensure we didn't have any worries and we definitely didn't...

seating plan to suit this & helped everything run smoothly. Came out later at night for the guests who stayed in the hotel with the evening buffet sandwich & some snacks for guests so they did not get all waisted. All we could do was praise them on the day . Great & so helpful. Thank you again X

around 8 weeks prior and Sophie was very accommodating to all our needs as we wanted a very simple no fuss party. We were able to amend our package and remove items that we did not require or could arrange ourself. The room was a very good size and very spacious and was available early on the day for us to decorate ourselves. The buffet was really nice with plenty of food for our guests who all commented how nice it was. The bridal suite was included in the package which was lovely, this was on the top floor of the hotel with other superior suites. The room was very modern, large bed, hot tub and living area. We can not fault our evening wedding reception here and had a fantastic night!

for us when we arrived to an excellent standard.
Sophie and the team made sure they were on hand whenever we needed anything.
Sophie and Jodie were there waiting for me to walk me to the ceremony which was a lovely.
Wow the room looked amazing and everyone commented on how beautiful it was.
The room was then flipped for our evening reception and was perfect.
We had so many comments off our guest about how beautiful the wedding was.
And for the people who stayed over said they were pleased with their rooms and the breakfast was gorgeous.

bacon and sausage sandwiches to be brought to our room so we could have breakfast while getting ready which was great! We left a lot of stuff in the room we got ready in and smokies moved all the stuff for us to the wedding suite saving us running around. The rooms where a great size also especially as there was 10 of us! We also asked for ice which was brought to our room quickly.

The guests where welcomed with drinks and we also hired a magician we met at the wedding fayre at Smokies which guests loved!

We was shown our room before the guests and everything was set up perfectly, but they did ask if there was anything we wanted to change which was great. The duty manager Jodie put all out home bought favors and presents at the correct places for our special guests, again saving us having to rush around.

The food was amazing! The best wedding breakfast we have ever had! Guests where coming telling us how amazing and tasty the food was which is great as sometimes wedding breakfasts are small and average but this meal was delicious and filling.

The turn around was quick and easy and everyone loved how big the room was. We had the medlock suite.

The buffet for the reception also went down a storm! Lots of food for what you pay and all very tasty!

The evening went to plan with the first dance and cake cutting being announced on time.

Anything left in the room after the evening ended (we paid for the late bar which was a great option to have was put away safely for us until the morning.

Staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for us!

We would highly recommend the best western smokies for weddings and we are so glad we didn't go anywhere else.

She made us feel really welcomed from day one and made the build up and the wedding day go smoothly.
The medlock suite on the day was breathtaking and all our guests commented how stunning the room was and that food was gorgeous too.

from the big day as she managed everything, knowing that she had everything under control meant we knew that when we turned up everything would be perfect. The execution on the day was flawless from the Smokies staff, the food was delicious and plenty of it (no one went without or hungry) the bar was staffed and the DJ made sure the dance floor was never empty.

would of been 32 weeks pregnant and I had already bought my dress so I began to panic. We went in to smokies and spoke to Sophie and with no problems or inconvenience at all our wedding was rearranged that day which was a weight lifted off my shoulders :). Nothing is to much for the staff at smokies and they are so friendly and welcoming. From wedding open nights and appointments with Sophie running up to the wedding day I just knew I didn't have to worry about anything because they are so well organised and I also got lots of information through email about how the day was going to be run and any enquiries I made were answered asap. When we arrived on our wedding day everything was set out just how we wanted it and the medlock suite looked amazing just how we imagined. We had canapés and welcoming drinks, sit down meal then a buffet at night and the food is just fantastic and well presented just how you would want it on your special day and many of my guests was complimenting how lovely it was. The whole day just ran so smoothly I didn't have to worry about a thing I was so relaxed and enjoying myself, we just wish now that we could do it all again. The bridal suite is also amazing to finish off your special day staying in a luxury room :) I cant think of anything that I would of changed. You couldn't ask for a better wedding manager than Sophie she's brilliant and put my mind at ease :) I definitely recommend Smokies Hotel to anyone planning there perfect wedding day!

chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and what a great deal of choice at the evening buffet. There was plenty for everyone. The DJ Duncan was really accommodating to the many requests. The room felt so spacious and was decorated beautifully by Stef at Joyous Moments. Great accommodation, the bridal suite had recently been renovated, so everything was new.

venue but most of all the right person to help us plan.  Right from the start nothing was too much to ask including visiting three more time to show parent's our choice and the groomsmen and bridal party where the big day would be. We arrived unanouce and it was never a problem Sophie and the team was 2nd to none. The weeks leading up to the wedding Sophie was brilliant, kept in touch to make sure we had everything planned and she was so accomodating with our guests menus and diartary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble for her or any of the staff at the hotel, quickly answering all the different questions we had. Any time I had to phone the reception for different things, they were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient.

We had the Medlock Wedding Package, which included much more than just the standard room higher and food. The hotel had a contract with Joyous Moments (Stef), getting the table runners, chair covers, chair sashes and centerpieces included in the package. Stefs items are a level above the rest, when you see the rooms she has dressed compared to others, you can see what you pay for, a lot of attention to detail and top quality products.

We opted to have the additional cocktail bar run by the very helpful and friendly Miguel, which seemed to be a success with a lot of our guests.

The package we opted for included a wedding breakfast for up to 75 guests. Food for the wedding breakfast was of an extremely high standard, a lot of our guests commented on how impressed they were with the standard of food being served. Our evening guests were served with a hot buffet for up to a 150 guests, no part of the evening buffet went back to the kitchen, much to our disappointment as when we got to the buffet table it had already gone! Fantastic comments all round about the evening buffet.

The running of the day was flawless and professional, all down to Sophie who has amazing attention to detail, keeping in touch with us through every step in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We have lost count of the amount of amazing comments we received about Sophie running the day.
