Thank you so much to everyone at The Grand hotel. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect. The most beautiful location and the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. They had so much patience for our endless requests and couldn’t do enough for us and all our overseas guests.

there were many) were dealt with straight away. The day itself ran as smoothly as we could've hoped, everything was taken care of for us, right down to having all our gifts and cards taken up to our room so we didn't have to worry forgetting anything at the end of the evening. Throughout the day, reception would ring me to tell me photographer, flowers ect had arrived and sent everyone up to me, so I didn't have to worry about leaving my room at any point. I spoke to Megan, our on the day co-ordintor quite a bit throughout the day, mainly her just telling me what was going on and keeping me in the loop. I appreciated it. Most of our guests came down from London, and a couple even flew in from Norway, and they had a wonderful time. A few even stayed at the hotel and said how incredible everything was. I couldn't reccomend having your wedding at the Grand hotel enough. Everything was perfect.

host one wedding at a time meaning that a) I wouldn't bump into another bride and b) we would have 100% of their focus. We found a wedding package that was ideal for us and made it easy to plan our special day. The staff were one of the things that stood out for us as being exceptional each time we visited and our wedding guests were full of praise for their friendly yet professional and efficient approach. In particular Les who helped ensure our day ran smoothly and of course Gabriela who helped us plan the wedding from day 1. Gabriela filled us with confidence in both her and the Grand every time that we met, spoke to or emailed her and is a real asset to the hotel. She helped us plan our day and nothing was too much trouble. Her excellent organisation and kind, friendly approach made the entire process stress-free.

Our wedding day itself went perfectly and the hard work of the staff kept everything running smoothly and made us and our guests feel special in such a luxurious and beautiful location. The food was OUTSTANDING and received so many compliments from our guests. Our guests were particularly impressed to have a hot evening buffet which was delicious.

The suite that we stayed in on or wedding night was incredible and had the most beautiful view of the sea. We visited our room before the evening reception and drank the complimentary water which we noticed had been replaced when we returned to our room after the reception.

With wonderful staff, attention to detail, amazing food and a beautiful building we wholeheartedly recommend the Grand for a stress-free and perfect fairytale wedding day. Such a special place.

however give us a list of possible suppliers and we could not have been more pleased, the florist Petals Flowers and the band Visage were absolutely brilliant. You could not fault either. We did also order chair covers which was a good idea as it improved the look enormously. We did attend a food and wine tasting session (again well organised) and did change our minds about the food and as I’ll mention later it was amazing. I know people use the word amazing easily but in this case if I use it, and you were there, you would know no other word could describe the whole day. From the day we arrived which was on the Friday the attention to detail was amazing. The head of concierge (David) was particularly helpful as was the rest of his team, in not only parking our car but greatly assisting those who were staying and those guests who came for the day. The reception staff were of course, if I’m allowed to say this, were as ever friendly, helpful and attentive as ever. The room we had was amazing and then to Sunday the day of the wedding. I have to say that we knew the day would be good, as we do know the Grand very well but they truly exceeded all our expectations. The team on the day led by Jason assisted by Alex and Marcin from the Mirabelle were amazing. Nothing but nothing was left to chance, from the music when Kathy entered the marriage venue to the serving of the meal. Here we must give a special mention of the chef (Yogi Sundaram) who produced a truly magnificent meal. Through this review I would like to thank them again for a fabulous day, not of course forgetting the amazing organisation of Gabriela.

I would also like to thank Sarah who I know was not directly involved but did have some input on the day! I nearly forgot the toast master hired by the Grand (Stephen Hall); he also did us proud. The service from everyone at the Grand was faultless and having experienced a truly amazing fabulous day I would say to anyone having any second thoughts about where to book for a wedding don’t have any, book the Grand.

thrilled at the amount of staff allocated to care for us that day, my guests were totally waited on which was lovely. The food came quickly and was delicious and the wines were superb.The concierge team were very helpful with luggage and parking for all our guests and we all had a lovely breakfast together the following day. We had a beautiful seaview suite and couldn't resist an extra night stay. From the very initial planning, menu tastings, picking wines and sorting out layout of the rooms and organising certain things how we wanted them, nothing was too much trouble. I am familiar with the hotel and staff but I was still blown away by the attention to the finest detail that went into the actual day. It felt like a dream. I would highly recommend anyone getting married in Eastbourne to got to The Grand. They have packages to suit every budget and it really is a very spectacular and impressive venue. You will love it. left Monday morning the staff were fantastic and delivered the most amazing service which was absolutely faultless.

All our wedding guest were very complimentary of the service we all received and commented on the fantastic attention to detail and how fabulous the food was. Our Guest with Dietary requirements said they have never been so well catered for!

Alex Rumble was outstanding!! We felt at complete ease knowing that he had the running of the day in hand, and everything was beautifully executed.

The concierges were wonderful and we felt they just couldn't do enough to help us.

Special thank you to the lovely young guy who popped to my room Sunday morning to put down the sofa bed so we had more room for when my family arrived. The member of staff who brought us our breakfast, whilst we were tidying the sofa bed away, insisted we didn't put it away ourselves and she called for house keeping. I sadly didn't catch the name of the guy that attended, but he was at the door within about 3 minutes to help and happened to mention he had come up to assist from "Laundry".

And thank you to the very talented chef, the waiters and waitresses, the staff that dressed the celebration rooms, the bar staff, Leslie, The Reception staff and anyone else involved in looking after us that day. You made it truly special for us and we cannot thank you enough!!

As our wedding day fell on the first day England played in the world cup we were keen to keep the gentlemen happy by showing the match. Gabriela organised the hire of a large flat screen TV and duly set this up in the bar area for all to enjoy! The ladies were able to dance the night away without interruption. Perfect!

break too. We wanted a spa, we wanted 5 star service, 5 star food, a complete 5 star experience, but we wanted to feel relaxed there too. We wanted a small private room for our pre wedding dinner with a few guests a day before the big day. We wanted our ceremony room to be something special and not just a conference room dressed up. We wanted an outside space for photos, but beautiful indoor spaces for inclement weather. We wanted a personal wedding planner who could guide us through the whole process. We wanted a beautiful wedding breakfast room and a party room with a dance floor and integral bar, so that guests stayed together. We wanted a private small bar area for guests to relax in between the wedding breakfast and evening party. As I said, it was a large wish list!

Our wedding day ran smoothly and effortlessly as the whole team of staff worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran to plan. We had the most luxurious and elegant wedding in the beautiful Princes Room. The wedding breakfast took place in the Compton room with all its beautiful architectural features and stained glass windows, which transformed brilliantly with clever lighting into an ulimate party venue, where our band played on the raised stage. From the very first inquiry to Clare , 18 months ago right through to the present day, nothing has ever been too much trouble. Communication was very easy with very prompt emails. Every idea we had or question we asked was considered and our whims catered for !
We can not rate our whole experience highly enough. Everything really was perfect. Thank you to Clare, Eliiot and the whole team.

we required to make informed decisions, and was in constant contact with us from the day of our enquiry to the wedding day.
The Hotel itself is an architectural marvel, and the Staff are equally splendid. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made you feel so welcome from the first time you set foot in the hotel.

The Day itself went without a hitch, largely because our Event manager Elliot was overseeing every aspect of the day (not that you would notice). He was fabulous and made you feel so at ease with all the hustle and bustle throughout the event. Even providing Simon (groom) with a nice cold lager without even needing to be asked after the photographs.

The Food was absolutely fantastic. From the canapés and 3 course wedding breakfast through to the evening buffet. Presented beautifully and was HOT! The service of the food was seamless and provided with military precision, even during the evening reception.

Although certainly not the cheapest wedding venue in the area, it is definitely the best for quality and service. You certainly DO get what you pay for. I would urge any couple to put back their wedding another year in order to afford to have it at this venue. It will truly be the happiest day of your life. It certainly was ours, and if I had 10 stars available to award this fabulous venue I would!

We were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding without worrying about a single thing on the day. For us, making the most of seeing family that had travelled so far, to a venue that was so amazing, meant everything in the world.

We loved it so much we stayed an additional 3 nights after the wedding. We didn't want it to end!

The environment in which we got married was perfect. The Compton room was transformed from a grand dining room for our Wedding breakfast into an intimate 'club' for our evening reception. Our master suite was a perfect room for my wife to get prepared in together with several bridesmaids as well as spend our first night as husband and wife.

We had thought the Grand might prove too expensive by the time wedding 'extras' were added to prices. In reality, everything seemed to be included and we were genuinely surprised by the transparency of costs and what good value it was.

We would not hesitate to recommend The Grand for a wedding.
