The staff behind the bar was amazing nothing was too much trouble for them and all of them looked so smart and were really polite. The breakfast the morning after was WOW, not one person made a bad comment it was one of the best breakfasts if not the best breakfast I've ever had!! The hotel is just perfect in every way. Do not hesitate to stay here or book your wedding here because you will not find anything better!

Best Wedding ever!

could not have done more for me if they had tried. They did everything to make sure my day was perfect.

I was definitely a worried bride, always panicking about things and both Mia and Liz were always on the other end of the phone or email to reassure me. They went above and beyond, to the point they were practically my bridesmaids on the day, they took care of everything and nothing was too much. The morning of the wedding, naturally my belongings were scattered everywhere, they literally carefully took everything and made sure it was all safe. This was something that meant a lot especially during a stressful morning, I hadn't a single worry about the venue whatsoever.

The wedding itself was incredible, the room, the staff, everything all were out of this world. I couldn't have asked for anything more honestly. Mia and Liz were by my side the day before, running around with me helping me do the little bits I had to do, always there in case I needed a drink or something to eat.

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough especially the Penine Suite. The whole day I felt like the most important person in the world.

I wish I could do more to thank Mia and Liz because my wedding wouldn't have been what it was without them both, they are fantastic, experienced wedding planners and if you are looking for a stunning venue, this is it.

My day ran behind and there was no issue pushing back food etc, everything was accommodated just for me.

was a perfect environment for getting the bridal party ready, the bridesmaids, hairdresser, photographer and makeup artist had fun, getting us ready, we were even allowed to bring our dogs to stay with us! We had the most perfect day in the most beautiful setting and location. Liz, Mia, Nasser and his team made the day flow like clockwork, nothing was to much to ask, all the staff were very polite and made our friends and family feel special. The food was amazing, with all our dietary requirements catered for. To top it off, the weather was beautiful which made this picturesque village even more glorious. everything ran smoothly and kept coming to visit me whilst getting ready to ensure I was okay. The day ran like a dream, everything was done to perfection, and the venue Penny Farthing was beautiful. The food was very complimented by all who attended, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff on the day of the wedding.
Honestly, the full day was perfect and the quality of the food was excellent. The duty manager, Nassa was brilliant he ran through everything with myself and the groom and he stayed for the full wedding ensuring that we all had the best time. The hotel room was dressed beautifully for us on the night of the wedding and every detail was amazing.
Our wedding guests all had breakfast the next morning in The Drop Inn Pub the day after which was perfect for us all.
There are no faults whatsoever about this place and we look forward to going back for our year anniversary.

date changes, room changes for the ceremony, guest alterations to even a room change for a bath (the wife's preference) that the team did not do their utmost to cater for. Liz makes you feel that you are the most important person there and every single meeting we had in the build up made us feel that they care about you and your wedding. You are not just a customer but a part of the Last Drop family. We were impressed and blown away from the build up but then came the day itself and we don't know where to begin on this one. We have been to weddings of family and friends before which were all great but could not have imagined for one moment how special this day was going to be. From the very start of our wedding, every single detail was taken care of. There was not a single moment that we could say was the best because Liz and the team made every part of our day so special, including going hunting down the presents that had found their way into the storage room. I will quote what many guests (and the photographer) said..."this is by far the best wedding we have been to or been a part of". That is down to everyone at Last Drop Village and for everything you did for us. If we could get married again week after week we would because that day was the most special day in our lives and it is because of what Liz and everyone at Last Drop did for us. felt so calm, despite the madness that had happened. We took all her advice and were amazed at what she managed to sort for us in such a short amount of time. Nothing was too much trouble and it was all done with a smile.
I have spent weeks trying to think of words that will justify how amazing everyone was for us, especially Liz, but I'm fairly sure the words don't exist.
The bar and waiting on staff were great and were keen to help.
Nasser was also great as our MC on the day, keeping everything organised. Again, he went above and beyond for us.
The venue itself is beautiful but the staff really made our day everything it was, we will always be grateful.

A Wedding To Remember
My husband and I got married at Last Drop Village on 28/10/2022 and throughout the whole process Liz Blackmore was an absolute godsend. Nothing was too much trouble and she really looked after us while we planned our special day. We had exclusive use of three function suites …

for our day; the Chetham Suite for the ceremony, Mimosa Suite for the wedding breakfast and Penny Farthing Suite for our evening reception. Liz made sure our ceremony and breakfast suites were set exactly as we wanted them to be with our place settings and favours set perfectly.

We were also assisted by Rhodri and Franco throughout our ceremony and wedding breakfast. They made us feel like the most important people in the world!

Our wedding breakfast was delicious with huge portions! Everyone commented on how delicious and well presented it was and how unusual to be fed so well during a wedding breakfast! Huge thanks to Anthony the chef for providing a delicious meal!

For our evening reception, Liz introduced us to Zoe who would be looking after us for the evening. What a lovely lady she was and so very helpful! We had an incident with a guest that was required to be removed from our party and Zoe took control and ensured this incident did not affect our evening at all.

Finally, our wedding night was made all the more special by the suite we were provided with for our night! It was HUGE with a sitting room, huge bedroom and big bathroom!

We felt very special indeed and would definitely recommend the Last Drop for any function!

Only thing I would suggest if you were here for a wedding is to keep your room on for another night, checking out for 11am hungover after a day of partying was not fun & I lost things in the process.

We booked our wedding 2 years ago and communication was excellent throughout – especially during Covid. We were provided with constant reassurance during the pandemic.

The location itself is simply stunning, so if you’re looking for an exclusive venue, with caring and attentive staff that provide the personal touch and element of luxury then look no further.

The day itself, Jacqueline, Zoe and the team were incredibly accommodating and understood exactly what we wanted – they are absolute professionals and genuinely cared about making our day special. The attention to detail, the dressing of the room and the food were all sensational.

A special thank you to the GM Gerry who drove me (and my bridesmaids) the 100 metres to the suite to ensure our dresses remained pristine during the bad weather – we were all extremely grateful.

We feel truly blessed to have had Jacqueline and her team and we will never forget how special they made us feel.

From the start, our Wedding Coordinator Jacqueline has been our absolute rock. Nothing was an issue! We’re vegan so we asked for some other options from the menu - Jacqueline spoke …

with the head chef and then gave us multiple options for our wedding breakfast - starters, main courses, AND desserts! We were then stuck on what to pick (which when you’re eating out as a vegan NEVER happens!!!). We had some people at the wedding who have severe nut allergies, again, no issue! Jacqueline spoke with the head chef to ensure that nothing was served that had even been prepared near nuts! On the day they didn’t serve any alcohol that had nuts in or crisps either. I cannot fault Jacqueline whatsoever! She has held our hand throughout this whole experience (and due to covid, it turned out to be a long process haha). She’s been there through the excitement and the stress. Nothing was ever too much for her. I can’t praise her enough! On the day of the wedding she came to the room to check everything was okay and that I had everything I needed. All my bridal party were raving about her! They couldn’t believe how amazing she was! She even came the morning after the wedding but unfortunately we didn’t manage to see her due to being a little tender & still in bed haha! Thank you SO much Jacqueline! You are an absolute angel and the calm that EVERY bride & groom need!!!

On the wedding day our Master of Ceremonies was Nasser and wow, did he impress!! He showed us around the room the day before the wedding with Jacqueline to make sure that we were happy with everything, again, nothing was an issue! We asked for a table in the buffet room which he started to set up straight away so we knew this was all in hand! On the day, we were running a little behind schedule but there was no rush from him whatsoever! He completely made the day all about us and made us feel extra special.

We visited the venue many times in the run up to the wedding just for lunch or a drink here and there and whenever we bumped into Liz she would ask how our preparations were going and tell us she was there if we needed anything from her.
We chose to make all of our decor ourselves and in the final week before the big day she organised a room for us to store everything in and arranged for it all to be set up on the day. Everything was perfect, I couldn’t have done it any better myself.
On the day of the wedding Liz was there from the crack of dawn showing our suppliers where to go and offering any help we needed for last min prep.
The whole process from booking to the day itself couldn’t have been smoother. Liz is amazing and her staff are second to none. We couldn't fault a single thing and we look forward to returning on the odd occasion for food and drinks and a catch up with Liz.
A special mention has to go out to Zoe who took care of everything during the meal and evening etc. she was incredibly kind and her staff were all so lovely. They really did the hotel proud.

We booked in April 2020 for two years in advance and Liz kept us unto date at all times in terms of what she needed from us and how things would work, the free wedding menu tasting was a nice touch and I must say having attended other weddings recently, the food is definitely a notch up here at the Last Drop Village.

The rooms, the venue, the staff on the day and the organisation, helpfulness and execution of the day was first class - 10 out of 10 from us - Vicky and Gavin Reynolds

nothing was too small or big of a task for Jacqueline, the response time between emails and any questions we had was so fast and efficient.

The team made all the planning so much easier and the packages that the hotel offers are fantastic, they really do think of everything to make planning the day so much easier!

The venue itself is so beautiful and I cannot wait to get my photos back to see how beautiful they turned out. If you are planning to get married in the future I would highly recommend this venue and the wedding coordinating team!

This is all down to Liz and the team’s efforts and dedication to their jobs. and the main manager, this was always going to be a special day. Our bridal suite was beautiful and huge, with two large rooms, one perfect for assembling and rehearsing our 6 bridesmaids. Liz greeted us on arrival, followed shortly by Nasa in the Harmony Suite, an intimate, but stunning room. Rebecca Karen dressed the room gorgeously with sparkling lit wall drapes, ceiling drapes, an ivory isle carpet, and a large flower arch ahead of our ‘alter’. They say it's the staff that make a place, and this place is made with ‘love’,to be sure. We were in very capable hands. Liz arranged lots of extra details. The food was beautiful. Nasa sorted out all my many, many intricate table decorations, tea lights, shells, crystals etc., and even brought his own pen in from home so that guests could sign our guest book. ‘The Manchester Celebrant’, Leanne’s ceremony was perfectly personalised and so unique. The DJ Andreas, from ICE Entertainments played all the tunes we had requested, as if he had some telepathic skills for timing. The dance floor was never empty. Our photographer Nigel Newton, was in heaven, and took some stunning and inventive shots. He said it was the best wedding he had EVER attended, as did most of our guests. I cannot praise the bar staff highly enough. They were all such kind and thoughtful young people. I mentioned my husband had gone back to our room early, as he didn’t feel well, and I was locked out. Within a few minutes they had organised a key fob and one young lady, even walked me back to my room. It is most certainly a day of my life that I did not want to end. Everything worked like clockwork, with love and friendship at it's heart. Just perfect.

I honestly don't know where to start with this review, we got engaged just before COVID struck and started excitedly planning, we checked out numerous venues but the minute we visited The Last Drop we knew this was our dream venue. It was unique, quirky with amazing views and had such a romantic …

feel that it was our number one. We booked in to meet with Liz the wedding co-ordinator and we instantly fell in love with her. She was passionate and professional, there was no hard sell and she took the time to understand what we wanted for OUR day and tailored things exactly as we wanted them.

It was clear that to her we were not just "another couple on the wedding conveyor belt" and that she actually cared, she invested in our wedding plans and preparations. She offered advice, suggestions and nothing was ever too much trouble.

COVID struck and we were devastated but Liz then became our rock, we were as nervous and anxious as many couples across the country were with each of Boris Johnsons news conferences, however Liz never visibly shared these concerns. She was pragmatic and flexible despite spinning a huge number of weddings/couples, she was always on hand when we wanted a moan or a query. She was quick to get our new date secured and yet again went above and beyond.

Eventually our wedding week came and it was devastating for non-wedding related reasons. But whilst our thoughts were elsewhere, Liz took the reigns. She knew absolutely everything about our day so whilst we were distracted she filled in and helped with so many of the finishing touches. She was reassuring and incredibly accommodating.

The day itself was even more special than either Lisa or I could have imagined. Liz was there which made it even more special, 2 years in the planning had culminated in the most wonderful day. Nasser the master of ceremonies was a credit and clearly Liz had filled him in with every last detail. The day ran like absolute clockwork and is a memory we will never forget.

I am still waiting for my Lemon drizzle cake that Liz promised to bake me though haha.

In all seriousness, the venue is so incredibly romantic and the team are absolutely wonderful. They genuinely care about your day and you can trust them with absolutely everything to make your day the day of your dreams. We forged a relationship with Liz that we will undoubtedly carry on by nipping up for a brew in the future, we never felt like simply "a couple getting married".

into tatters three weeks before the big day. Liz Blackmore and her team handled everything so well during such an unpredictable time and honestly kept us sane. The venue had to rebooked our date 5 times (!!!!), but it was all done so seamlessly and with no repercussions on us, which was a massive weight lifted.
Finally yesterday we managed to have the most magical day in the Pennyfarthing suite, which made the most beautiful venue. All of the guests commented on how beautiful the village, hotel and grounds were, and how delicious the food was. The hotel rooms themselves were impeccably clean, the beds were super comfy and our bridal suite was specially decorated for us. The wedding team worked so well together and Nasser, our Master of Ceremonies, really put our minds at ease, taking every detail we asked for and really considering our individual wishes and taste.
We had a tiny mishap with a room booking which could have been a disaster, but it was dealt with swiftly by the bookings team, which again really helped lessen the stress on what had already been a stressful event to organize.
The Last Drop Village Hotel has been an absolute dream and we couldn't have wished for a better day, a better venue or a better team to bring our vision to life.

beginning to end and made me feel like a VIP. All of the staff here were friendly and made a fuss over me whenever I needed anything. The DJ that was provided as part of the package was fantastic and we danced right through until 1:00am!
The food served was unbelievable, plenty of it, hot and very tasty. We opted for the Hog Roast and it went down a storm with all of our guests.
We stayed in a large executive garden room which was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for my bridesmaids and I to have hair and makeup done together.
Both Liz and Stuart kept in touch with me throughout proceedings and to say they looked after me is an understatement!
My husband and I are going back in the next few weeks to relive some of the wonderful memories we have from our renewal and I cannot wait to catch up with everybody while we are there.

As soon as we found out the wedding make up artist wasn't coming, Jacqueline started to call round to find us one last minute she is a credit to you. Nicola took over for our ceremony and wedding breakfast and we couldn't have asked for more, anything we needed be it guests directing from one place to another and helping ensure all our food came out swiftly nothing was too much for Nicola. Ryan then came in to see of the night time reception and he was extremely helpful, anything we needed came to us promptly and he even arranged for our gifts and belongings to be taken to our room he couldn't do enough for us. Also a massive shout out to the staff working the whole day, all the waiting staff and bar staff did a fantastic job and credit to the folks in the kitchen as they put on a fantastic afternoon tea.

great. The wedding team were always contactable and would pass emails onto another planner if they were unavailable. We had some confusion over room bookings etc throughout the process but all turned out okay on the day. They were more than accommodating for dietary needs - they provided us with gluten free meals (bride and groom plus 2 others) and these included everything the regular meals did and also accommodated the children and vegetarians and vegans. Everyone commented on how fabulous the food was - it was piping hot for all and the portions were huge. At the food tasting session we had to check these were the portion sizes that would be served as they were huge! We attended a few of their monthly wedding open evenings and all the staff were friendly and informative. We were given a conference suite to get ready in as there were 8 of us plus hair, make up and photographer and this was plenty big enough. We were able to check in early too on the Friday before the wedding as they understood we had 6 dresses to hang in the room. The rooms could do with a bit of updating but they were clean and fine for the amount of time we were in them. The breakfast was good and the atmosphere in the hotel bar on the Friday evening was great. The hot buffet at the wedding went down a treat and everyone was commenting on how great the staff were. Nikki was overseeing our wedding that day and was then at breakfast the next day! Being able to use the spa was also great but not much to do after a couple of hours unless you book treatments in.

The entire staff at the Last Drop were amazing - the staff in the restaurant when myself and my daughter were having a meal the night before, the lady in the restaurant at breakfast who we had a lovely chat with, the gentleman who we have seen plenty of times in the restaurant on our previous visits to the hotel who’s name, unfortunately, I can’t remember (sorry) who congratulated me in the corridor... and I’d also like to say a massive thank you to Nicola, who looked after us massively at the wedding breakfast and reception. She made sure everything ran like clockwork and treated us like part of the Last Drop family.

We were married on 20th December and held our ceremony in the Chetham Suite with our wedding breakfast in the Mimosa Suite. Our stay was fabulous from the moment we checked in on the day before the wedding until we checked out after breakfast on the 21st.

in the run-up to the wedding as well as on the day itself. We ate in the restaurant on the evening before the wedding and had breakfast on the two days during our stay, the food was great. The wedding breakfast food was excellent as was the organisation by the master of Ceremonies Franco who ensured the day ran smoothly and service of the wedding breakfast was very efficient.
We stayed in one of the suites which was very bright, comfortable, clean and well equipped.
I have visited the Last Drop Hotel on many occasions in my role as a Registrar in Bolton conducting marriage Ceremonies but this is the first time I have ever been there as a guest and it definitely won’t be the last as I’ve already made enquiries about holding my 60th birthday family lunch there in February next year.
In the midst of all of this and the rush of the run-up to Christmas, the staff at the hotel dealt brilliantly with a sudden influx of guests due to the many flights diverted to Manchester following the drone scare closing Gatwick airport. Breakfast was a little busier on the 21st but everyone was treated as valued guests - well done the Last Drop

Planning and booking was actually an enjoyable experience, regular communication from wedding co-ordinators, Tara was amazing helping us plan and brainstorming with us to make our vision come to life.
The wedding ran so smooth and was made so personal with the help from Nicola who was AMAZING, so friendly and made family comfortable, even got emotional along with us during the day. At night Ryan took over and was so lovely, even had a little dance (persuaded by me) the staff really made it feel so personal and made us feel so relaxed.
We were provided with the Lancaster suite for the wedding night which was stunning! Personal touches including 2 bride hangers with dressing gowns, chocolates and we received 2 cards from the hotel and the breakfasts are delicious (free welcome drink provided as well but we didn't use it)
The only thing I have remotely 'negative' thing I have to say would be it was quite difficult to book our guests hotel rooms and we spent quite a while chasing rooms up, but I suppose everything can't be perfect and it all worked out.

guidance and support throughout the whole planning stage and on the day, the behind the scenes activities were outstanding.

I think that particular mention should go to the young gentleman who helped out during the day, in fact the whole weekend (I believe his name is Rhys?) and also your very thorough Master of Ceremonies, they both made sure that the day went ahead seamlessly, fully understanding the importance of the day and making sure that it went well.

I have had lots of comments about how fantastic the day was and I know that you and your complete team had a huge part to play in all this, we are both sincerely grateful and we would definitely recommend your venue to anyone, what you did that whole weekend will sit in the memories of our guests and in our hearts forever.

There were little attentions to detail that meant I, brides mum, could finally step back and just enjoy.
Word of advice to anybody planning to stage the venue themselves- make sure the room is free the day before - we didn’t know until the week before and I'm certain we couldn’t have managed as a team of 5 of us took over 7 hours. That said the result was amazing and the Penny Farthing Suite is a perfect setting.
My only criticism would be the lack of communication in the build-up - it’s a very expensive and stressful time and emails aren’t particularly personal.

On the Thursday before when me and my mum spent the evening and night at last drop village. The customer service was incredible. Our wedding day was amazing Lauren and the team did a perfect job. Lauren is so professional and really made our day run so smoothly. There was not one point in the day where I felt stressed or rushed everything just ran so smoothly. We had lots of comments on the amazing food and how lovely the staff was.

The worst part of the day was when it was over! It goes by so quickly, however, me and hubby were still sat in the hotel bar until 3am :) haha!

We were a small wedding party of only 23 and were married in the Chetham suite. We had our wedding breakfast in the Mimosa suite. The rooms are ideal for a party of 23/24 and you get a really 'cosy' feel from the room.
Our guests stayed in the newly refurbished courtyard rooms which were finished to a really high standard. For the price they are excellent value for money and really comfortable. We stayed in the honeymoon suite (room 46) which was huge and also very comfortable.
Food served was always really well presented and very tasty. We asked for a table of 12 the night before and also for breakfast and this was accommodated with no problem. Drinks are not the cheapest but I have been to other venues where they are more expensive so it wasn't an issue.
The spa area was included in our stay and this was excellent too.
I have to say the biggest plus for the Last Drop, and the main reason you should consider this as a venue, is the staff. We were looked after so well, nothing was ever too much trouble and they really made our wedding. Jade and Vicki, our wedding planners, were always available to us and made sure we were at ease throughout our stay. Both were amazing.
Then there was Lauren... who was our 'master of ceremonies' for the day. When I say day I mean the whole day as she was with us from the start of the day right until our night do finished. She was simply superb and a real credit to the hotel. She made sure the wedding ceremony went without a hitch, the breakfast ran like clockwork and then reserved the Drop Inn for us exclusively which made us feel really important! Everyone commented on how professional she was but also how friendly and natural she was.

When we went for our menu tasting we were made to feel like the most important people and nothing was too much to trouble to ensure we had made the right choice for our food a drink. Our master of ceremonies Lauren was perfect and made such an effort to ensure that everything went smoothly so that we could continue to enjoy the day and night. The food was incredible and we had so many compliments from our guest, it was so nice for us to hear that they enjoyed everything as much as we did. When the evening had to come to an end the staff continued to work hard to move all or cards, gifts and decorations into a secure place for us to collect the following day-another thing we didn’t have to worry about! When we got back to the room we both had been left some food from our buffet and our cake, which was very welcome as neither of us got round to having anything from the buffet earlier! From the moment David met me and took me through to the venue I felt so at ease, he took care of every single detail, he attended to every guests need... nothing was too much trouble at all, I had vegans and vegetarians and all of them came upto me and praised the food.... I even had children who wanted their own dessert on the day and not a single thing was too much! David what can I say..... you even tried to calm my new husband down.. the guests tell me he was a nightmare in the morning haha, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for ensuring our wedding day ran smooth. We had our wedding here on Saturday 12th March and it really was perfect!
We originally booked the wedding through a meeting with Liz the wedding co-ordinator, who was really helpful with the build up to the wedding.
Claire France looked after us the day of the wedding and she really was amazing, …

she made me feel so relaxed and talked me through the process of the day and answered any questions or queries I had.
We had our ceremony in the penny farthing suit and it looked amazing (Thanks to Michelle at love Rosie at Last Drop Village) who decorated the room exactly how I wanted it.
The wedding breakfast was really nice and the staff got the food to our 60 guests quickly and were really helpful.
We had a further 90 guests at night and all the staff were really good, no one was ever waiting too long to be served for a drink.
I also got informed the day after the wedding that our music wasn't working on the CD we had brought for the wedding ceremony, as not to stress me out with this Claire had told my groom, but before any one needed to panic about this, Claire had already downloaded all our songs onto her phone and I was none the wiser so thank you so much for that!
We also had singers on for our evening reception and our DJ hadn't provided any mic stands, once again Claire sorted this problem for us quickly and stress-free, so thank you again.
It really was a perfect day and everyone had the best day, so a massive thank you to all the staff at Last drop Village, and Liz and especially Claire who was amazing on the day.
