Washingborough Hall is AMAZING!
We booked Washingborough Hall for our wedding just over 2 years ahead of the date after viewing it and 3 other venues. It was the first venue we saw and we fell in love with it straight away, the other 3 venues didn't come close. We were allocated Amy as our wedding

coordinator and we couldn't have been happier. Amy is an amazing person and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She made us feel at ease and understood us as a couple and what we wanted. We started our wedding weekend on the Friday with a big family meal and it was the best start to an amazing weekend. The venue is perfect and the staff are so attentive and friendly. Special thanks to Andrea for all your help the morning of the wedding and for sorting out the cake on the Sunday for us to take home. Rob Stubbs did our flowers and we were amazed with these, they were more than we could have imagined and again he understood what we wanted perfectly. Rob also acted as MC on our wedding day and we were so pleased, he is the perfect person for this. The food was amazing and all our guest commented on how good it was. We cannot thank Washingborough Hall enough for making our wedding day the best and a day we will never forget. We cannot recommend them enough. If you're looking for the most perfect wedding venue then look no further.

the best days of our life and i would pay it all again to experience the same day. All of our guests were commenting on how amazing the food was too, we will be back for a meal just to relive the culinary experience. We cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love they all put into their jobs, even mopping the floor multiple times during our rather zealous disco dancing, they looked happy to be there! If anyone is looking to book their wedding here, just do it, dont ask questions its by far the best venue for the job, trust us!

Overall Washy Hall is just outstanding!

we had. Amy made us feel very special every time we saw her, which made us feel like we we're the only couple getting married there. Amy on the wedding day was brilliant making sure everything was set up correctly and even little details like helping my husband and the groomsmen putting the button holes on their suits. All staff were very welcoming and friendly, aiding and allowing us to have a fantastic day!

The venue it's self was simply stunning and we could not have imagined getting married anywhere else.

The only negative moment that left a little bit of a sour taste was the front of house receptionist on the day after the wedding as we were leaving in the euphoria of the whole occasion, we were asked quite abruptly to pay for our drinks, we weren't aware that we would be charged for from a year previous during our taster meal. We felt this was unprofessional, poorly timed and cheeky after we had spent an awful amount of money over the past 18 months with Washingborough Hall.

This however did not spoil our wedding day and other than that we could not recommend Washingborough Hall enough, it is no surprise they have been given so many awards especially with Amy's customer service skills at the helm.

Where do we start with reviewing the experience we had with Washingborough Hall. We first fell in love with Washingborough Hall back in October 2016 when we came to a wedding open evening. We had a look at a couple of other venues but nothing came close to the feeling we got when we first walked in.

Even though we booked the venue years in advance we still had regular contact with Amy who guided us through every step of the process and reassured us when we had any queries about our wedding. As our wedding date got closer we began to visit the venue, every time we went we were welcomed by the reception staff and instantly helped us feel relaxed and welcome.
The day of the wedding itself it went smoothly, nothing could have been any trouble for Amy and the staff. Amy guided us through the day and helped keep my nerves at bay. Our guests echo our comments about the food and the experience on the day, they all said it was perfect and nothing could have made it better.
Our wedding day was such a magical day and I can honestly say Washingborough Hall and the staff made our dreams come true.
Thank you so much, Amy and the team.

Many many thanks to Lucy and her team at the Hall for making our wedding day the most perfect and enjoyable day that we could have had !!
Having attended the Hall’s wedding fair in January 17 and having an idea we would like a winter wedding. Lucy suggested New Years Eve 18, which we both

agreed was a great idea, we then immediately booked ! The planning process that followed with Lucy was very well organised and efficient, right up to the Sunday the 30th December where the team set our table up in advance so we could decorate the night before.
Throughout our time at the Hall from the 30th December through to the 1st Jan – we and our guests were looked after exceptionally well. From Lucy and Rob making sure button holes were fastened to offering me a glass of water after I had spoken to the Registrar just before the ceremony. Just a couple of examples of the many occasions that the Halls team went the extra mile for us. Nothing at all was too much trouble. Many thanks for this – these are the things that we will remember for many years to come, that made our day run very smoothly and very special to us.
Thank you to the Chef’s and their team – the food was exceptional from the Full English Breakfast on the morning of our wedding, the canapes after our ceremony, through to our wedding breakfast that afternoon. Absolutely amazing food !!
Thanks also to the rest of the Hall’s team – always pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Available to help when needed – nothing was ever too much trouble.
Lucy you have an amazing team and should be very proud of them all – which I am sure you are !!
Thank you seems not quite enough, as we cannot fault the Hall, Lucy and her team. Our day went like a dream and has created many happy memories for us, our family and friends.
Rest assured we will be back for Sunday lunch and no doubt afternoon tea.
If you are looking for a very well organised, friendly and exceptional wedding venue – then look no further than Washingborough Hall !!!

both the planning and the day was amazing. The venue, Amy, Rob, the bar team...and the chefs - just WOW! Our guests absolutely loved it. "Best wedding ever attended" was the general feedback. They all felt how we did when we first visited; at home (albeit a more impeccably stylish and elegant home) genuinely welcome, relaxed, comfortable and calm on not just our wedding day but every visit in the run up too.
Throughout the whole process, there has not been one jot of stress, Amy has been just delightful, supportive, calm and patient offering advice helping us create a truly perfect day. From the wonderful cosy family meal they created for us on the Friday to the impeccable wedding breakfast the team at The Washingborough truly know what works and nothing is too much trouble.
The lovely Rob, (Robert Stubbs) a member of the Washingborough team and incredible florist almost had me in tears with his beautiful flower creations. The place just looked stunning. The Team here just know what they are doing and they looked after myself, my husband our children and every single one of our guests beautifully. Book in your day, trust their advice and the suppliers they work with and you'll have not just an amazing day but a perfect memory for life. the planning of the wedding Amy was absolutely incredible, I would often email her late at night when something cropped into my mind and she would nearly always reply that evening. these into reality and what was the most fabulous 3 day wedding event that totally exceeded our original visions. Amy worked closely with me to create our perfect wedding (face to face/e mail & phone), quick to respond to any questions or queries I had, i really cannot praise her enough.

Amy arranged/recommended everything for us from our exquisite flowers (Robert Stubbs) to cake makers (Fiona Milnes), Lantern hire (Lincolnshire Lanterns), Bespoke stationery (In The Details) and a String Ensemble (Blue Topaz).

All of our friends and family commented on how relaxed they were made to feel, and nothing was too much trouble.
Amy certainly ensured that every member of staff was well briefed, and the whole wedding weekend was seamless and perfect.
The food was outstanding (we had previous meetings with Mark who again created our own unique menu.

We can only take this opportunity again to thank Amy - Director of Romance for making our dreams a reality and capturing everything we wanted out of our special day.

Our special thanks again to the amazing Robert Stubbs who created THE most exquisite flowers throughout the Hall and also for all of the bridal party. I have never seen flowers so so perfect before. Robert certainly worked tirelessly to create a perfect fairy-tale vision for us.

Luke and his team behind the bars were also amazing - I can only imagine our friends and family keeping them all 'busy'.

Once again, we were honoured and privileged to have enjoyed such a magical experience that was our wedding weekend at Washingborough Hall, with Amy Thorne heading up all aspects of coordination and making our dreams come true. She certainly deserves the title Director of Romance

My husband and I live in Washingborough and kept our wedding in April 2017 a very local affair. We were married at St John's Church and held our reception, for 70 guests, just next door at Washingborough Hall Hotel.

We considered a number of venues local to Washingborough / Lincoln for our

reception, ultimately deciding on Washingborough Hall Hotel owing to a number of factors, including the proximity to St John's Church, the good number of bedrooms (we had a number of guests travelling to attend), the ability to exclusively hire the venue and the excellent reputation of the hotel's 'Director of Romance', Amy Thorne.

We booked our wedding in January 2016, for April 2017, so worked with Amy to plan our wedding for just over a year. Throughout the planning process Amy was just tremendous - emails were responded to swiftly, face-to-face meetings planned quickly and nothing was too much trouble. Amy gave us recommendations for suppliers, arranged on-site meetings and menu tastings to help us think about how we our wedding day would look and feel and guided us through the planning process with absolute aplomb, putting us truly at ease.

We were blessed with a sunny Easter Saturday for our wedding day, which really was everything we had imagined and more. It was truly a delight to enjoy the day itself without any worry about planning or practical matters - everything ran exactly as planned (timings kept to, suppliers in place, set up and fed and watered without us even noticing etc) and we had the most wonderful day spending time with all of our guests, enjoying the most incredible food and drink and dancing the night away. Our guests all said what a gorgeous wedding it was and we couldn't agree more.

Planning our wedding was stress-free and our wedding day an utter joy. We would wholeheartedly recommend Washingborough Hall Hotel to any bride and groom looking for a wedding or reception venue in Lincolnshire.

The hotel is stunning, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the food was amazing! The grounds are beautiful which meant we were able to get the perfect wedding photos.

We couldn't be happier that we picked Washingborough Hall as our wedding venue and have had so many comments from family and friends about how lovely the venue was and how perfectly the day went. Thank you!

pleased we chose Washingborough Hall. The service provided was faultless and the professionalism of the staff team ensured our day was everything we had hoped it would be and then some. The food is incredible and tastes as good as it looks. The rooms are comfortable and very elegant the bridal suite was beautiful.
I can't find fault with anything and all credit to an amazing team of people who clearly love what they do. We also used their recommended suppliers for our flowers. Rob is just amazing and our flowers were so beautiful. David Lowerson for our Photographs, again amazing. David did everything we wanted and we hardly knew he was there.
Well done Washy Hall, you made our wedding day perfect in every way possible I can't thank you enough.

It’s exactly six months since we got married at the wonderful Washingborough Hall Hotel and we couldn’t have had a more perfect day. Our first visit was on a wedding open evening where we got to have a look around and totally fell in love with it. We knew straight away that it was where we

wanted to get married and cancelled our viewings of other venues.

From the initial meeting we had with Lucy all the way up to after the wedding, the staff were exceptional. We must especially mention Amy, the ‘Director of Romance’ at the hotel, who was our main contact throughout and whom we had several meetings with to discuss our wedding. Every email was replied to very promptly and Amy was happy to accommodate everything we asked for. She was so friendly and easy to talk to and we always felt at ease with her.

Both my husband and I could totally enjoy the day as the staff at Washingborough made sure everything ran smoothly. We got married in the Dining Room and when I walked in it was exactly how I imagined. So much so that I couldn’t stop crying my eyes out as I started walking down the aisle (I guess getting married to the love of my life was something to do with that too). The Winston Room is such a great addition to the hotel and was just perfect for our wedding breakfast. We loved that we got the chance to have a menu tasting of our food choices before the wedding.

All of our guests commented how great the venue was and how lovely the day was. We can’t recommend it highly enough. We wish we could do it all over again. We will definitely be going back to celebrate our anniversaries and remember our special day. Thank you so much to everyone at Washingborough Hall!

We only had 8 months to plan our wedding and we only saw one venue - Washingborough Hall - and new instantly that it was for us. It is rare to find a venue that is exclusively for your wedding party which was ideal for us.
Amy (Director of Romance) was incredible from start to finish - nothing was ever to much trouble and she made our wedding planning fun and exciting instead of stressful. She was there for me whenever I had a query - big or small.
All the staff were fantastic and so accommodating and friendly. They made each guest feel incredibly welcome and all our guests said how wonderful they were.
The food was a highlight! It was exceptional. We wanted our wedding breakfast to be special and they definitely delivered. The room itself is beautiful, even if you didn't decorate a thing yourself, it would still be stunning. The new extension is sympathetic to the age of the building and is light and airy with huge windows.
The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the bridal suite is stunning.
I couldn't recommend this venue enough!

(don't forget we had no appointment) by the brilliant Owner Lucy Herring who gladly showed us around and I fell in love with the hall that day. The new extension was in the planning at that time but even looking at the plans I new that was where I wanted my wedding reception to be. After we had booked the date Lucy introduced us to Amy Thorne, Director of romance, I new straightaway we would get on so well, and we did!
Through the the whole process of planning the wedding Amy has been there every step of the way, her help, advice and support have been absolutely fantastic. Amy has so much patience and understanding especially when I sent her emails and messages at ridiculous times of the day and weekends aswell, She would reply straightaway. Nothing was too much trouble for Amy and now the wedding is over I feel like I have lost a limb but I've also found a fantastic new friend!
Every member of staff at Washingborough hall are brilliant and can't do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel very much at home. The food was absolutely fabulous and everyone said so! Dan is one amazing chef!
Our wedding day couldn't have gone any smoother and that was because of every member of staff especially Amy. Our guests said what a fantastic day and the best wedding they had ever been too, so emotional and laid back which is just how I wanted it to be, it was just perfect.
When we left the hall the morning after we passed people walking in who coming for lunch or to stay the night and my husband said to me he felt very jealous of them because we were going home and they were staying! We both adore Washingborough Hall and cannot wait to go back again, it's perfect.

Now to talk about the venue itself. What a truly breath taking venue washingborough hall is, but the staff make the venue. All the staff know who you are and make every effort to ensure you are well looked after and comfortable whilst you are at washy. I would like to make a special mention to Rob, Luke and Jess who helped on our wedding day and ensured everything went smoothly, and all three members of staff are truly exceptional people.
The bridal suite at the venue is amazing. It's huge, with a double shower and separate roll top bath (which I took a bath bomb with me to take full advantage of!). I've seen a few other rooms and all rooms at the hotel are decorated and maintained to a very high standard.
Also I would like to take a moment to appreciate the food. I have eaten a few times at washy since booking our wedding and I can honestly say that the food at washy is well worth the money and the trip to the venue, many people said our wedding breakfast was the best food they have ever had at a wedding before! Compliments to the chef.
Overall, I cannot find any fault whatsoever with the service at washingborough hall, we have decided that any big celebrations in our family will most likely be held at this gorgeous venue from now onwards and we will most definitely be back for The homemade scones and a cuppa! Thank you so much washy hall! Xx

planning our wedding

The evening before the wedding was so relaxed and Amy and the rest of the staff at Washingborough Hall made our whole family feel completely relaxed and made us feel at home. One of the main reasons we picked Washingborough Hall was because of its homely atmosphere and being run by a husband and wife (Edward and Lucy) and their three lovely girls really sold it to us.

On the day the whole of Washingborough Hall looked absolutely stunning from the fairy lights in the trees outside, the beautiful Christmas tree and the gorgeous decorations throughout by Robert Stubbs. We really felt that we did not need to add our table centre-pieces and other little decorations as Washingborough Hall is absolutely stunning and the perfect back drop for a wedding.

The wedding ran so smoothly from start to finish and Amy and the team were so happy to help throughout the day. All our friends and family have complimented us on our wedding with lots of people saying it was the most relaxed wedding they had been too. Lots of people said that it was the best wedding they had ever been too and said that Washingborough Hall was beautiful and that the food was amazing. The guests that stayed all thought the bedrooms were absolutely stunning and Dominic and I would have to agree. We love that each room is unique and all the rooms were homely but also very luxurious and made all our guests feel special.

We felt so welcomed by Amy and the team at Washingborough Hall and by having the venue exclusively really made it feel like our home for the weekend. This was really important to us as it made both Dominic and I and our two beautiful girls feel relaxed and calm. Our girls Bethany and Annabel where so happy that weekend and they too have not stopped talking about the wedding and how it was the best day of their lives!

We really did have the most truly special day, a day that Dominic and I will never forget. Thank you Amy for helping us to bring it all together and we could not have done it without you or Washingborough Hall.

We look forward to coming back to see you all on our first anniversary (hopefully sooner) and enjoying some more special memories at Washingborough Hall for many years to come.

Thank you again

through the process, and we were delighted to end up with the "twinkly" December wedding we'd wanted. Nothing was too much trouble in the planning and, on the day, everything went incredibly smoothly with her quiet but efficient guidance in the background. We only have good things to say about the rest of the staff too - particularly Rob and Dan. We were really impressed with the food when we had our tasting meal and struggled to narrow down our choices. On the day, our guests were blown away by the tasty canapes and delicious wedding breakfast (cheese soufflé, braised beef and Dauphinoise potatoes, treacle tart to die for). Our wedding took place in the dining room, looking out onto the gardens. Our 57 guests were comfortably accommodated and the ceremony had a wonderfully intimate feel to it, although it did get very warm in there! We moved into the new Winston Room for our wedding breakfast and it looked so pretty. We chose the newer bridal suite for our wedding night; one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept in and that huge shower was great. We would most definitely recommend Washingborough Hall to anyone looking for that perfect wedding venue. It's the best place for many miles around and we are so happy we were able to get a date we wanted. Finally, not complaints but hopefully helpful tips for brides to be....with 57 people, the entrance hallway where we held the drinks and canapé reception after the wedding was quite a squeeze and I had difficulty maneuvering in my full wedding dress plus we didn't make the most of the grounds for our photos; the front steps outside the Hall as a backdrop aren't very attractive.

Our wedding was on the 12th December & the Chrisitmas Decorations by Robert Stubbs & the team really are amazing, from the fabulous tree & real fire to the twinkly lights outside, it really was a magical winter venue.
Throughout the planning Lucy was so kind & helpful & patient & really did put our minds at ease, always available to contact directly through email or phone. Amy was also really lovely & helpful with ideas and showing me the ropes with pinterest!
The wedding day itself went without a single issue at all, everything was arranged and planned impecibly by all the staff who are always so happy & helpful. My husband & I and our parents have had so so many compliments on the food, the decor, the staff & the attention to detail given by everyone at Washingborough Hall, lots of them saying its the best wedding they have ever been to & the best wedding food they have ever eaten. The main thing that stands out is the staff nothing is too much trouble they are all so approachable and go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and a valued customer .
We was shown round all the rooms with numerous family members often unannounced and managed to address all our needs giving excellent customer services .

All the rooms are individually styled with the most comfy beds enormous bath tubs and cleaned to such a high standard , the morning of the wedding they had a full hotel but still had our rooms ready in time for our wedding party to check in swiftly without any disturbance .

The wedding itself went like clockwork we kept to our time line with help from Adam from front of house he was so professional, organised and kept a calm and friendly manner no Matter what task.

I must mention the food we had 50 cheese shuffles from head chef Dan which where all cooked to perfection exactly on time and piping hot , even the most fussy of guest was bold over by the locally sourced menu with accompanying delicious house wines .

The room transition was swiftly done from relaxed intimate wedding in the day to larger evening reception, the new Winston extension brings a fabulous venue at night which we had a large band and dance floor with great atmosphere.

We are a few days in from the wedding and all the family can not stop talking about washy hall , they have the perfect recipe for a wedding venue .

Washy hall has a special place in our hearts we can not praise it enough and Feel so lucky to have been married there .

On the actual day everthing was just perfect, the ceremony and Winston room looked so classy, the flowers from Rob were so beautiful, the food outstanding and everything appeared to flow seamlessly because of the Washingborough Hall team. It was only afterwards that we were chatting and realised that a few things had been fixed for us - we wouldn't have our marriage certificates now if Amy hadn't found our envelope to pay the registrar with!

The way everything came together was a credit to the hard work & dedication of Amy, Rob, Adam & the rest of the team. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful venue, it was everything we had imagined.

Amy coordinated the day perfectly & our timeline ran smoothly throughout the day. Adam & the staff worked tirelessly & subtly to ensure our service was attentive but without imposing. The food was absolutely outstanding & we will certainly return to the restaurant in future. The food at Washingborugh Hall on our wedding day was one of the very best meals we've had anywhere. A fantastic venue we were lucky enough to enjoy drinks on the lawn before our wedding breakfast in the Winston Room. Large enough to fit in all our guests the Winston Room still felt intimate and is a fantastic addition to Washingborough Hall.

One of the many reasons we chose Washingborough Hall was due to the delicious food that we have previously enjoyed there. The wedding breakfast was one of the best meals we have ever had and all of our guests agreed! Before the wedding day we went to Washingborough Hall in order to sample our chosen menu and make any amendments, this was really helpful and allowed us to discuss any dietary requirements with the chef.

The day after the wedding we were sat outside enjoying a drink with some of our wedding guests before the various journeys home and were speaking to one of the lovely members of staff. Lucy Herring and her team just take all your anxiety and stress away. AS for your flowers and bridal bouquets, dont bother going to a florist or anywhere else, just go and talk to ROBERT at the hotel, he is amazing and is so creative and can turn normal flowers into beautiful creations that make your reception room come alive and sparkle. Your bridal bouquet will enhance your dress and make you feel like a Princess.

There is no bridal magazine that can over you anything as close as to what Washingborough Hall and Lucy and Robert can do. They are wonderful, and if its a special day, then it can only be there.

I had my special day there on Friday 24th April 2015, and it was perfect, and as I write this I can smile and see all my beautiful flowers that Robert let me bring home, so the magic is still with us now:)

With our cd playing exactly as we had planned. The master of ceremony was brilliant, and helped put all our Flower buttons on prior to the wedding.
The meal was just wonderful and the teas and coffees were finished off with some home made fudge. A very lovely touch.
The rest of the day was out of this world.
The new orangery worked really well and only emphasises what a lovely place the hotel is. It was a bit warm, but everyone had a great time.
Finally the food was delicious at night - though it could have been easier if they had put it all on one table.
The staff were very helpful, especially one lady at night who helped pack up all our things and went to get me a soft drink.
Thank you for a lovely day.

the staff really are wonderful. We fell in love with Washingborough at first sight - it has the perfect blend of old fashioned country house grandeur, mixed with a cosy, intimate atmosphere. For us, Washingborough ticked all the boxes - we wanted an exclusive venue, we wanted a smallish wedding, but with the capacity for a larger evening reception, we wanted it to feel homely and cosy as opposed to stiff and commercial, most of all we wanted to feel like it was our day, and it really was. Special thanks go to Chef Dan - we had so many amazing comments on the day and after about the food, and of course to Lucy for co-ordinating the whole day so wonderfully. My only complaint is that it was all over far too quickly and I'd quite like to do it again!!

My husband and I got married then had our reception at Washingborough Hall on Saturday. The staff and setting made it the perfect day we had wished for. Every contact that we had with Lucy or any of the staff made us feel like we were the most valued customers (I have no doubt they make every guest

feel this way). The rooms were all immaculate and the food was amazing (and plentiful). The venue was intimate and relaxed which is just what we wanted. We have nothing but praise for every aspect of our big day and this was down to all of the staff, especially Lucy. We had an amazing day, it was everything we could have wished for, and we can't than the staff enough for helping to make it happen!

laid back throughout the whole process, including on the wedding day. She showed her commitment by being there from first thing in the morning to last thing at night.
The food is absolutely amazing, not only was our wedding menu completely incredible, so were the hotel's bar food and breakfasts.
We had the most magical wedding day and a lot of this is a credit to Lucy and her team as they ensured everything ran perfectly from the moment we arrived.
This hotel deserves a 5 star rating in every way possible!

We got married at Washingborough Hall on the 19th September and I can honestly say that it was the best decision we made.
The venue itself is beautiful. We wanted our wedding to feel like we were hosting at our own home, and the wonderful intimate rooms and free reign to personalise as we wished,

meant that we achieved exactly that. I was very impressed that our decorations (flowers and family photos) were constantly being moved around so that wherever our guests chose to settle looked the best it possibly could and none of our efforts were wasted. The staff also managed to do something quite amazing - they were always on hand making sure we were all perfectly happy (and I got my port, thanks Rob) and yet they just blended in with our guests. At no point during the day did we feel like we were in a hotel. We felt like we were in a beautiful home surrounded by just friends and family.
The food for our wedding breakfast and evening buffet was absolutely amazing! We have received rave reviews from our guests, especially those who required dairy and gluten free food. As for the evening buffet, it was so good and everything was of the very best quality. The cheese was out of this world!!
It has been difficult for me to decide what was the best part of getting married here as everything and everyone was so wonderful but I do feel that Lucy requires a special mention. This ladies organisational skills are incredible! I don't think I ever waited longer than 20 minutes for a response to an email and whenever I phoned with a query, Lucy had the answer immediately and she remembered every detail of our wedding. This really made us feel like ours was the only wedding taking place at Washingborough hall and that we were very important, not just another bride and groom. I could relax on the day knowing that everything was being handled perfectly.
To all at the hall - thank you thank you thank you!!
See you all soon for the best afternoon tea in Lincolnshire x

We were married on 24 August 2014 - we used Washingborough Hall as it was an exclusive venue that provided a one-stop service.

Lucy - the owner: Lucy helped enormously with the planning of the event. She was able to advise us on timings, numbers and who to go to for the support services such

as photos, cakes, entertainment etc. She also told us what worked best in that particular setting; all the advice led to the day being a great success. Lucy's personal touch and supremely calming influence helped to keep the day flowing nicely.

The staff: Staff were friendly, professional, efficient and helpful. All appeared very experienced - quietly attentive and their contribution helped the day to run smoothly, whilst making us and our guests feel welcome and special. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them and little things were done without us needing to ask, which takes all the stress away. Rob the MC was also calming, helpful, friendly and consumately professional. We couldn't have asked for more from anyone.

The food: Prior to the event, Dan the chef, was extremely helpful and nothing we asked for was too much trouble. He provided useful ideas for the guests with special dietary requirements and was able to cater for everyone's needs. This was quite simply the best wedding meal we have ever had; all our guests felt the same.

The venue: One of our primary reasons for choosing this venue was the beautiful building and the setting. The opportunities for photos are tremendous. We had 50 guests in the day and a further 20 or so in the evening and found that the venue was absolutely perfect for that number (and would take a few more in the evening). During the day there were activities (petanque and croquet) for the guests who wished to partake...they loved it! The bridal suite was great and the other guests were equally happy with their rooms.

Overall, a fabulous wedding venue, which we would not hesitate to recommend.

We worked closely with the chef to plan a vegan menu for our wedding breakfast and the dishes he created were incredible. We had so many compliments about the food from our guests. The hotel even sourced vegan wine for us at last minute.
The venue itself is gorgeous and the gardens are perfect for photographs.
I would highly recommend Washingborough Hall Hotel for a wedding, or any other special occasion as they offer a much more bespoke and personal service that other venues that we researched could not.

Thank you for making our day so special and memorable

made the day perfect from start to finish. The food was amazing, even converted non lamb eaters to lamb lovers as it was cooked perfectly. Every guest commented on the lovely setting and the wonderful laid back and relaxed atmosphere which is what we wanted for our day. Once our day was over family and friend met again for breakfast the next morning, we all enjoyed so much we were hard to get rid of enjoying coffee on the terrace before family left to all parts of the country and beyond. Washingborough hall is firmly on the agenda for future family gatherings. Prefect venue for a perfect day, can not recommend enough

trouble, she even fitted in 2 extra guest 48 hours before the big day, amazing!! The suppliers they recommend were brilliant and we would recommend them to everyone. Rob the florist was brilliant, the flowers we wanted to be quite different but he understood exactly what we wanted and the finished article was better then we could have imagined. Everyone commented on the flowers and 3 weeks later still are, they were truly beautiful. The staff at Washingborough Hall are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, Amy was brilliant, she appeared everywhere, in the bridal suite whilst we were getting ready topping up drinks and bringing food, setting up all the tables, favours etc and serving the food for the wedding breakfast, at all times she had the biggest smile on her face, such a lovely girl and a star to have on your team at Washingborough Halll. Now the food, well what can we say the food was absolutely amazing, Dan and his team did a fantastic job. From our trail meal nothing was too much trouble, we couldn't quite decide on a dessert so we had a quick chat with Dan, he popped into the kitchen & 5 mins later came out with a masterpiece that we had on our wedding day, a Trio of Lemon desserts, the Lemon Posset was scrummy and everyone wanted more. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was for such a big number of guests as we find most wedding we have been to you tend to loose out on the food, but not here the standard was very high, from the Canapés, the Wedding Breakfast, the evening buffet and the dessert buffet it was all wonderful and we couldn't have asked for it to be any better. When you book your wedding here you will have no worries it will be perfect!

We chose Washingborough for our wedding reception on 30th May 2014 and could not have been happier with it! The hall itself is beautiful and has a very intimate feel, the fact that it is yours for the day makes it very special indeed.

The prices are very competitive; we looked at lots of venues

in the area but knew we had found the one as soon as we visited Washingborough. The lovely thing is that the team work with you to fulfil your requirements rather than confining you to a standard package.

Lucy and team are highly efficient and so friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble for them throughout the year and a half that we spent planning our wedding or on the day itself.

We had an absolutely fantastic day and many of our guests commented on what a lovely venue it was, how good the food was and how friendly the staff all were.

We will certainly be returning soon whether it will be to celebrate another special occasion or simply to drop in for lunch!

Thank you

enthusiasm from staff, no ‘Wow’ factor and many other reasons we came across Washingborough Hall having driven past it many times! We arranged to meet with Lucy in order to discuss the possibility of holding the wedding at Washingborough. The moment we arrived we were impressed by the beautiful grounds and entrance, we weren’t disappointed when we entered the Hall either. This has the ‘Wow’ factor! We sat with Lucy for a while to discuss, budgets, numbers of people, possible running order, food requirements and how the day would run. Lucy was fantastic – we had a good idea of what we wanted but weren’t sure of the finer points or possible cost or timing implications. We got some really great suggestions and in some areas we actually saved money! We then had a look around Washingborough Hall. The entire venue is beautifully decorated and you get a real sense of occasion without losing any comfort or intimacy.
We left the Hall with a clear idea of how our wedding day would play out and Lucy had agreed to send across a quote for the day. We were keen to have Washingborough on an exclusive basis to ensure that everyone could truly enjoy the wedding and be themselves. The support from Lucy and the team when any decisions, advice or changes to plan were needed was fantastic (we did change things quite a lot as well!!) The day of the wedding went perfectly. All staff were there to help whenever needed… attentive but not overbearing, friendly but not too familiar – Lucy made sure that timings were perfect or changed if we were taking longer over something – again… nothing was too much trouble. In summary the venue is beautiful and we had the most perfect day. Thank you!

nothing fazed him or was too much trouble.Robert made our bouquets and the table decorations which were all absolutely stunningly beautiful.

Every time we have visited Washingborough Hall we feel like we are coming home, somehow the very building seems to wrap it's arms around you and gives you a great big hug and the staff make you feel the same, we now feel we are visiting old friends.

It's about time we should come back and have dinner and I must just mention the beautiful bridal suite, it was our pleasure to spend, very untraditionally, but we are anything but, the night prior and after our wedding here, a beautiful large room, with a sumptuous bathroom and enough space to have a dance in with lovely garden views, indeed a pleasure!

All our guests said what a beautiful wedding it was , the service, the location, the hotel and the food, we cannot recommend highly enough.Thank you to Lucy and all your fantastic team.

Lynne and Sue Mattinson.
