Nestled on its own island, Walton Hall stands majestically as a Georgian Mansion, surrounded by a serene lake. Our 63 exquisitely appointed bedrooms offer splendid views of the encompassing lake, woodland, or golf course. To add an extra touch of romance, we even have a charming hideaway cottage nestled within the hotel grounds.

First off, the venue is gorgeous. It's very well kept, it's very green and healthy and lots of great areas for photos. We fell for this venue very shortly after seeing it.

always answered the query. They were also really friendly and nice to deal with. After seeing a few other venues and generally talking to other people and looking online, the price to hire this venue is great value. Unsure if we just got very lucky with the deal we got, but it was great and included a healthy base of guests, to which extras could be added on.
We had the ceremony in the Waterton Suite on the first floor, and it looked great. It was a great size with room for more guests than we had (64, including us). The sound travels well, so no issues with guests at the back hearing the vows.
We then had reception drinks outside. Luckily, we had good weather on our side! Everyone enjoyed it - the island is just really picturesque, so great for photos, and it is a very calm environment. The canapes were also very tasty and the staff were very friendly and polite. Pauline put aside food just for us, as we were busy with photos and stuff. It was great to know we had food waiting.
We then had the 'breakfast' in the same room as the ceremony, which was changed to accommodate this; again, it looked great. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. The flow of food was also great, from after my speech and between the courses.
The reception was then in the boathouse downstairs, which honestly was so good! We had a live band and they sounded great in the room. We had ~90 guests in the evening, and the area was comfortably full, plenty of room for people who didn't want to be on the dancefloor or needed a break outside on the decking over the moat, but full enough where it felt like a party!
We were well looked after the whole day and everything went so smoothly, which we can only thank them for!

Had our wedding at the Waterton Park Hotel. I have to say I was worried about how it would all fit together and whether it would all run smoothly. On the day, we had breakfast delivered to our room, hair and make-up arrived at 7:45 am, the photographer arrived around 11 am, and all was smooth. The …

wedding at 1 pm ran lovely, everything was set up as we planned in the county suite, so glad we chose that room as it is air conditioned and was really warm and sunny out. Drinks reception out on the grass over the bridge. A couple of hrs later, back to the county suite, which had been set up for the wedding breakfast and again it was beautifully presented as we had designed, and the food was superb, and we had a lot of compliments from our guests about how good the food was. We had used wedding venue lighting to supply a starlite dancefloor with uplights and a photo booth for the evening reception, also in the county suite, and that was installed with no fuss and no input needed from us at all, so we could just enjoy the day. There was just one minor problem in the evening, that we had a lot more guests in the evening than in the daytime, and not enough tables and chairs were put out to seat them all, but this was soon remedied and didn't cause any real problems. All in all, a fantastic setting for a wedding, it was well worth the money it cost to put on a wedding, and we would not hesitate to recommend Waterton Park for anyone thinking of getting married here. My wife said she wants to do it again !!

The food, both during the day and evening, was exceptional, and everyone enjoyed it; the service was seamless, and the photo opportunities endless.

We couldn’t have asked for a more magical venue — truly perfect from start to finish! The honeymoon suite was beautiful, and when entering our room, a card and a Waterton Park teddy bear lay on the bed, a lovely touch and a lovely keepsake from our wedding coordinator, Olivia.

Our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to and loved the venue.

picturesque locations. Our photographer, Megan at MM Photography, worked her magic and utilised all these opportunities, and our wedding photos are absolutely stunning.
The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, even accommodating some last-minute requests. We especially loved and appreciated the efforts Olivia, our wedding planner, put into the day and want to personally thank Emily for looking after us at the evening reception
Overall, we highly recommend Waterton Park and Megan at MM Photography for your wedding – it was the perfect setting for our special day. We are still on cloud 9 just over a week later.
