Strictly Dance Hen Party Ideas

The new series of Strictly is fully underway and there isn’t a household on a Saturday night that doesn’t want to get up, cheer on their favourite couples and dance! Are you in love with the glitz and the glamour of it all? Of course, how could anyone not like the costumes, the music, the celebrities, the judges, the drama and not to mention the amazing dance routines!

So, if dance fever has got you thinking that you would like to do something dance related for your hen do, then there are lots of dance activities out there to do.

Here are some fabu-loooous (as Craig Revel Harwood would say) dance hen party ideas:

1. Strictly Come Dancing Workshop

If you and the girls love Strictly- this is the perfect daytime treat to add to your hen weekend. During this activity you’ll head to a private venue where you and your hens will learn at least two of the classic ballroom and Latin dances led by a professional dance tutor. Inject a bit of glitz to your celebrations with this 90 minute class which will have you all scoring 10’s and cha cha- chaing out on the town in no time!

£24.50 per person and Strictly Come Dancing Classes are available in selected UK cities

2. Single Ladies

Celebrate the Queen that is Queen Bey by learning all the moves to her iconic song ‘Single Ladies’.

We’ve all tried to do this routine at home, in a club or bar, well now you’ll be able to break out into the routine anytime you like.

Taught to you by a professional dance teacher, the choreography is challenging but they will skilfully guide your through it so that by the end of the class you will all be experts and can show off your moves confidently at the wedding.

3. Burlesque

A Burlesque dance class is a glamorous and fun way to celebrate your hen weekend.  Let your inhibitions go with this activity and your group will have lots of fun learning the seductive dance moves.  The 2 hour class will transport you all back in time to the glamorous Moulin Rouge where you and the girls will shine with confidence and allure!

4. 80’s Dance Class

If you and your hens are looking to do something a little crazy but enjoyable then an 80’s retro class will definitely get you all into the party spirit. Think bright colourful leg warmers, headbands and spandex and dance routines to some of the best 80’s classic tunes. Step back in time and have a blast doing it because, after all, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

5. Pole Dancing

Finally, have you ever fancied trying Pole Dancing? This class will definitely get you and your hens in fits of giggles whilst learning a thing or two about shimmying and swinging around a pole.  Don’t be deceived it’s not as easy as it looks, but don’t worry it will be led by an instructor who will quickly get you all learning to perform a variety of whirls and tricks, which you will pick up quickly. Pole Dancing is a lot of fun but has also become a huge fitness trend and we can see why, be prepared to work your arm and leg muscles -you will certainly feel it the next day!
