Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel will be the perfect choice for your wedding day. With the flexibility of the Lawrence and Cawthorne Ballrooms, or the more intimate Rose Room to choose from, we are sure to able to cater for your needs.

With our dedicated Wedding Team on hand, we will ensure your day is just how you dreamed it would be!

Our packages are designed to minimise the worry of working out the costs of your wedding. However, if you would prefer, we would be happy to quote for any ideas that you may have for your special day.

We are pleased to announce that you are able to perform your Wedding Ceremony in our Historic Building. This will be conducted by the Local Official Registrar, contactable by emailing ceremonies@wakefield.gov.uk

The Rogerthorpe Outdoor Wedding Temple, You are now able to get married outside for a supplement fee of £1000.00.

The venue can also be booked EXCLUSIVELY for your Special Day.

Depending on the size of your Wedding, the Cawthorne & Lawrence Ballrooms each hold up to 102 guests for a Civil Ceremony followed by a traditional Wedding Breakfast and up to 150 evening guests (depending on your evening entertainment) with the availability of extending to 200 day guests and 270 evening guests. The Rose Room holds up to 25 guests for your Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast.

Please also note we are a non Confetti Venue inline with our Green Policies.

From our very first visit with Lee in June 2021, we fell in love with the venue, and we knew immediately that this was where we wanted to have one of the most special days of our lives. throughout the entire planning process. No question, no call, no email has been left unanswered.
We originally booked our Wedding Day for May 2025, but when we unexpectedly fell pregnant in August 2024(!) and approached Karen with our news that at 9 months pregnant (two days before my due date) I didn’t think it was the best idea for me to be walking down the aisle, it wasn’t even remotely an issue to move the date. Karen was truly wonderful during that time and did everything she possibly could for us, and we honestly can’t thank her more. It felt like it was going to be one of the most stressful times in our lives, but Karen just made it so easy and took all our stress away.
We swiftly moved our date one year without a hitch, and then the big day finally arrived on 7th June 2025! It truly was the day of our dreams. The team were always on hand for anything we needed. Joe, our wonderful master of ceremonies, was amazing. It felt like a full circle moment, after having him show us round that very first time, to announcing us into our wedding breakfast as Mr and Mrs. The meal for our wedding breakfast was beautiful, and the buffet for our evening reception received plenty of compliments from our guests. The whole day went off without a hitch, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We thank Karen, Joe and the team from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for such a wonderful wedding day, which we will never forget.

PERFECT! The day was amazing from start to finish, the team were so attentive and answered any questions we had! Joe, Karen and Lee did a great job! I couldn’t have wished for a better wedding day, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you all!

We recently got married at Rogerthorpe Manor and honestly cannot recommend the team enough!! The venue speaks for itself with how gorgeous it is and all the grounds for many different photo opportunities! But the thing that made getting married here for us was Karen! She was with me from the get-go! …

We added bits to our package, removed things when we changed our mind, had a whole colour scheme change, and nothing was too much hassle. I’m an anxious person, so having the continuity of always having Karen at the end of the phone/on email was amazing for me!

On the day Lee, Joe and Michelle made sure the day ran as smoothly as it should. If anything went wrong, we didn’t know about it as they handled everything thrown their way by some of our guests. All in all, we had the best day ever! Would highly recommend getting married at Rogerthorpe for the team alone! I’m so sad it’s all over! Thank you so much again to the team!

helpful, friendly and professional. They did everything they possibly could to ensure our day was perfect, and it really was.
We had a lot of friends and family stay who all commented on their rooms being clean and comfortable, also the whole team of staff there who were so welcoming and friendly.
Our Bridal suite was fantastic, spacious and very clean.
I would 100% recommend Rogerthorpe for any couple who is looking for a venue for their wedding. It really is just a magical place.
